A syndesmosis fixation assembly includes a suture retaining portion having a plurality of suture openings formed therein and a suture securing portion rotatably connected to the suture retaining portion. The suture securing portion is movable between a first position wherein a suture is moveable within the suture retaining portion and a second position wherein the suture is frictionally secured within the suture retaining portion. A bone insertion portion has a distal bone insertion end adapted for insertion into a bone, a proximal bone insertion end connected to the suture retaining portion, and a central longitudinal axis extending between the distal bone insertion end and the proximal bone insertion end.

LOCKING NAIL FOR LOCKING SUTURES AND INTERVENTIONAL REMOTE SUTURE LOCKING DEVICE
20220125427 · 2022-04-28 ·

A locking nail for locking sutures includes a locking portion. The locking nail has a threading cavity used to allow the sutures to extend therethrough. The threading cavity penetrates through the locking portion. The threading cavity has a first inner cavity section located at the locking portion. A surface roughness of an inner circumference surface of the first inner cavity section ranges from 0.1 μm to 2.5 μm. The surface roughness of the inner circumference surface of the locking portion is controlled, so that a locking force of the suture locked in the first inner cavity section of the locking nail is suitable, thereby not only meeting requirements for the locking force but also preventing the sutures from being damaged and broken due to excessive squeezing.

ENDOSCOPIC SUTURE CINCH

A method cinches a suture. The method provides a cinch having a suture capturing portion configured to capture a suture, a cinch lock coupled with the suture capturing portion, and a cinch anchor having a lumen. The suture capturing portion is extended out of the lumen to capture the suture. The suture is captured by the suture capturing portion. The suture capturing portion is retracted into the lumen of the cinch anchor. The suture is cinched between the cinch lock and the cinch anchor.

PRE-FORMED SURGICAL KNOT LOADING SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE
20220125425 · 2022-04-28 ·

Disclosed herein is a loading tray for managing a flexible member construct. The flexible member construct includes a pre-formed knot with a first and second limb extending therefrom. The loading tray includes a base and a knot loop housing flexibly coupled to the base. The knot loop housing has an outer peripheral surface for holding at least one loop of the pre-formed knot in a dilated configuration. The knot loop housing includes a channel to receive an instrument shaft therethrough and thereby place an instrument shaft through the at least one loop of the pre-formed knot. The knot loop housing includes a free end, such that tension from either a limb of the flexible member construct and/or instrument shaft draws the at least one loop onto the instrument shaft.

Apparatus for repairing a heart valve and methods for implanting anchors and repairing a heart valve are provided. The apparatus comprises a body, a member attached to the body at a first end and having a plurality of positioning cords spaced laterally across the member and extending away from a second end of the member opposed to the first end, a tube suspended from the plurality of positioning cords, and an adjustment cord extending through the tube. The method comprises implanting at least one annular anchor in a mitral annulus of the heart valve, implanting a papillary anchor through each papillary muscle of the heart, delivering and positioning an apparatus for repairing a heart valve inside the heart valve using the at least one annular anchor and the papillary anchors, and adjusting the apparatus to adjust the extent of atrial displacement of the heart's mitral leaflets during ventricular contraction.

RETAINING MECHANISMS FOR PROSTHETIC VALVES

A method of treating a deficient native mitral valve of a heart of a patient includes advancing a steerable, first catheter through the patient’s vasculature, advancing the distal end portion of the first catheter into the heart to position the distal end portion of the first catheter adjacent the native mitral valve, adjusting the curvature of the distal end portion of the first catheter to form a first curve, advancing a distal end portion of a second catheter from a distal end of the first catheter, wherein the distal end portion of the second catheter is pre-shaped to form a second curve when advanced from the first catheter, and deploying a wire from the second catheter such that the wire extends around native leaflets of the native mitral valve.

Wound closure device

A wound closure device for closing a surgical wound in a tissue, wherein the wound closure device includes a first jaw, a second jaw and a handle. The first jaw is arranged for receiving a first cartridge including a plurality of slots for holding wound closers and wherein the second jaw is provided with a plurality of tracks. The plurality of tracks guide a respective one of the male ends and a respective one of the female ends towards each other and to an interlocked state where the respective one of the male ends and the respective one of the female ends are interlocked with each other.

SUTURE CLIPS
20220008066 · 2022-01-13 ·

Disclosed suture clips comprise a generally disk-shaped body having an annular outer body, first and second tabs extending radially inwardly from opposing sides of the annular outer body, first and second slots passing through a thickness of the suture clip and separating the annular outer body from lateral sides of the first and second tabs, and the first and second slots comprise stepped portions configured to align the suture clip on a rail of a clip deployment device. The stepped slots create bracketing surfaces that interface with the rail on which the clips are mounted, such that the bracketing surfaces prevent or limit the freedom of the clips from tilting or shifting relative to the rail. The disclosed clips can also comprise rounded edges on engagement surfaces of the tabs to minimize particulate formation.
