20250228556 · 2025-07-17 ·

Systems and methods are provided for performing tensionable knotless surgical procedures. A suture locking device that includes a one-way locking mechanism may be utilized for tensioning and locking one or more strands of suture during the surgical procedure. The one-way locking mechanism may be established by one or more locking barbs of the suture locking device.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CINCHING SUTURES AND A QUICK-RELEASE MECHANISM
20230190264 · 2023-06-22 ·

A flat or rounded or ellipsoidal or cylindrical or smooth device or body with no sharp edges for cinch suture knotting to secure sutures/lines/wires/threads and the like. The body eliminates the need for fastening or deploying manual knots. The suture knotting device comprises male and female separable parts that secure a catheter or any device or tissue or tissue to the skin or any body tissue. The separable parts can be gently pulled or twisted apart to adjust or remove the suture, depending on the clinical condition to thereby avoid pinching or cutting of skin and trauma to tissue while removing the device. The suture knotting device helps to deploy, adjust and remove sutures without requiring any sharp objects or a suture removal kit. The device allows a wide range of dexterity and maneuvering for physicians or nurses with ease and less pressure.

Method and apparatus for transapical procedures on a mitral valve

Apparatus and methods for performing a non-invasive procedure to repair a cardiac valve are described herein. In some embodiments, apparatus and methods are described herein for repairing a mitral valve using an edge-to-edge repair to secure the mitral valve leaflets. Implant securing devices are also described that can be used during a procedure to repair a mitral valve. In some embodiments, an implant securing device includes an outer member and an inner member movably disposed within the outer member. The inner member can be used to hold or secure a suture extending from an implant deployed on an atrial side of a leaflet of a mitral valve, and the outer member can be used to push or move a half hitch knot toward a ventricular side of the leaflet, which can be used to secure the implant in the desired position.

System for repairing valve leaflets in minimally invasive surgery

A system for repairing a valve leaflet in minimally invasive surgery includes: a delivery device comprising: an operating handle; an outer delivery tube coupled to the operating handle; a delivery needle coupled to the operating handle; and a pushing tube coupled to the operating handle. The system further comprises a repair component comprising an anchor and a connection wire. The delivery device is configured to perform, in response to a trigger operation, a linkage release operation that includes actuating the delivery needle and releasing the repair component.

Anchor delivery system and method

An apparatus for affixing a first tissue to a second tissue and methods of manufacturing and using the same. The apparatus comprises an elongated needle; a handle disposed at a proximal end of the elongated needle; a superelastic anchor disposed within the elongated needle, the anchor comprises: at least one normally-expanded elongated hook that is biased to a contracted state to fit within the elongated needle; a securing element; and an advancement mechanism triggerable by the handle and being configured to: eject the anchor out of a distal end of said elongated needle to allow the elongated hook to extend distally outward from the longitudinal axis of the elongated needle, into or beyond a tissue, and following the ejection of the anchor, eject the securing element from the apparatus to prevent movement of the anchor in at least one direction.

ENDOSCOPIC NEEDLE ASSEMBLY

A needle and suture assembly is provided for use with an endoscopic suturing device with a needle holder arm. The needle assembly includes a needle tip and a needle body. The needle tip has a sharp end. The needle body is tubular and has first and second ends and flexible tab retainers adjacent the second end for retaining the needle body relative to the needle holder arm. The tab retainers elastically deform to allow the needle body to be released from the needle holder arm upon application of force therebetween. The needle body has a suture opening located between the first end and the retainers. A suture extends into the suture opening of the needle body and is fixed therein.

ENDOSCOPIC REPOSABLE SURGICAL CLIP APPLIER

The present disclosure relates to endoscopic reposable surgical clip appliers having a shaft assembly. The shaft assembly includes a spindle, pusher bar, and a barrel assembly. The spindle and pusher bar are each translatably supported within the shaft assembly. The barrel cam assembly includes a first portion in mechanical communication with the spindle and a second portion in mechanical communication with the pusher bar. Translation of the spindle effectuates rotation of a portion of the barrel cam assembly and the rotation of the portion of the barrel cam assembly effectuates translation of the pusher bar.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR APPLYING A CINCH TO A SUTURE

Medical devices for applying a cinch to a suture and methods for making and using such devices are disclosed. An example medical device may include an elongated shaft including a proximal region and a distal region. The distal region may define a lumen having a lumen dimeter, and a distally facing end surface. The medical device may also include an outer cinch member defining a bore and having an outer surface defining a shoulder. An elongated inner shaft may extend through and be longitudinally movable within the lumen and the bore and including a distal end section. An inner cinch member may be engaged with the distal end section of the elongated inner shaft.

Endovascular suture lock

Methods and devices for transvascular prosthetic chordae tendineae implantation are disclosed. A catheter is advanced into the left atrium. From an atrium side, a leaflet anchor having a leaflet suture is secured to the mitral valve leaflet. A ventricular anchor is anchored to the wall of the ventricle to secure the ventricular wall to a ventricle suture. The leaflet suture and the ventricle suture may be tensioned and connected by a suture lock to form an artificial chordae. The suture lock has a body with a suture path extending therethrough. A wall in the housing is movable to reduce the cross section of the suture path. A drive mechanism advances the movable wall to clamp sutures extending through the suture path, in response to rotation of a coupling on the housing.

This disclosure enables various threading devices (e.g., suturing devices) that can sequentially send a plurality of carriers (e.g., needle caps, sleeves) to an object (e.g., animate, inanimate, human tissue, organ tissue, heart tissue) or sequentially receive a plurality of carriers (e.g., needle caps, sleeves) from an object (e.g., animate, inanimate, human tissue, organ tissue, heart tissue). For example, some threading devices can sequentially send some carriers in a relatively rapid succession or some threading devices can sequentially receive some carriers in a relatively rapid succession.
