10031500 · 2018-07-24 · ·

A system and device for supervising and controlling operation of at least one machine of an industrial installation. A server and a plurality of devices form a computing cluster. At least some devices of the plurality of devices are connected to a machine of the industrial installation. Each device has a first processor to compute in real-time, using data acquired from the machine, a first processing task for solving a first query; and a second processor sharing its processing power with the network, and computing, when assigned by the server, at least one thread of a second processing task for solving a second query. The server controls the computing cluster, partitions the second processing task into a plurality of threads, and assigns one or more threads of the plurality of threads to the second processor of some of the devices of the plurality of devices.

Embodiments of a method for providing user authority information management service are provided. In some embodiments, the method includes a client server sending a request for authority information to an authority service server, the client server receiving the authority information from the authority service server and comparing the received authority information with authority information maintained in a client server memory, determining whether or not to download the authority information based on a result of the comparison between the received authority information and the maintained authority information, updating the client server memory according to whether the authority information is downloaded, and the client server performing user authority certification for each process operation to be performed by the client server.

Bi-directional data security for control systems

A cyber-security device includes a processor operable to process messages with a data validation rule-set; an external communication interface configured for bi-directional data communication between the processor and external networks or systems; and an internal communication interface configured for bi-directional data communication between the processor and a safety-critical control device, wherein the data received by the processor via either the external or internal communication interface is blocked, sanitized, or passed by the appropriate rule-set, depending on whether the data conform to validation criteria established by the rule-set. The processor analyzes the data, preferably byte-by-byte, with the data in each byte being required to conform to the rule-set validation criteria before being passed from the processor to the appropriate interface.

METHOD FOR DISPLAYING MONITORING SCREEN
20180150198 · 2018-05-31 ·

Disclosed herein is a method for displaying a monitoring screen by which a file of a monitoring screen is moved to a position by drag-and-drop to display the monitoring screen at the position. The method for displaying a monitoring screen for a control program includes: providing a list of files of monitoring screens via a display unit; receiving a file of a monitoring screen to be displayed among the files of the list and a display location of the monitoring screen from a user; and executing the file of the monitoring screen input from the user to display the monitoring screen at the display location.

DYNAMIC SCADA

A supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) unit and technique for managing communications over a network of defined capacity. The unit and techniques include safeguarding the network while allowing for operations to proceed at an oilfield. The safeguards allow for multiple additional and different types of equipment to be added to or removed from the network while being managed by a single SCADA unit. This may be achieved through unique filtering protocols which prevent unidentified and/or unconfirmed equipment and devices from being added to the network merely due to be detected at the oilfield.

Methods for consolidating module types for industrial control systems

A programmable discrete input module is described. In one or more implementations, the programmable discrete input module comprises a pulse width modulation module configured to generate a pulse width modulated signal based upon an input signal and a pulse width modulation module configured to generate a demodulated pulse width signal. An isolator is configured to isolate the pulse width modulation module and the pulse width demodulation module and to generate isolated modulated pulse width signal based upon the pulse width modulated signal for the pulse width demodulation module to generate the demodulated pulse width signal. The programmable discrete input module also includes a first comparator and a second comparator for comparing the demodulated pulse width signal with a respective programmable reference and a digital filter configured to filter a comparison signal output by the first comparator or the second comparator to generate a discrete input signal.

LINE MANAGEMENT IN MANUFACTURING EXECUTION SYSTEM

A manufacturing execution system (MES) that provides tools for modeling and determining information about physical production lines made up of arrangements of entities. The MES includes configuration tools for modeling the entities in a physical production line. The MES also includes configuration tools for modeling the physical production line. Entity data models and line data models conform to the data structure of respective model templates. Line data models include line definition models and line layout models. Line layout models include an entity link model for each of the entities in the physical production line. The MES includes tools for dynamically determining the bottleneck for the physical production line. Other production metrics are also calculated using the MES.

CLIENT AND SERVER IN SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM

The present disclosure provides a server device in a supervisory control and data acquisition system, wherein the system includes multiples client devices and the server device, wherein the server device comprises: a communication module to communicate with the multiple client devices; and a data service module configured: when a first client device has registered a requirement for processing data, to allocate a task for processing the data based on the requirement; and/or when a second client device subscribes to the requirement, to control the communication module to publish the requirement to the second client device; to process the data using the task; and to control the communication module to send the processed data to the first and/or second devices.
