Control System and Method for Representing Alarm-Driven Trend Progression Diagrams During Operator Control and Monitoring of a Technical Installation
A computer-implemented method for representing operator control information in the context of operator control and monitoring of a technical installation is proposed, which has at least one operator station server and one operator station client, wherein at least one measurement value of at least one technical object of the technical installation is received via the operator station server, a trend progression of the measurement value is generated in the event that an alarm, which relates to the measurement value, occurs in the operator station server, the trend progression from the operator station server is transferred to the operator station client, and the trend progression is visually presented to an operator of the technical installation in a trend progression diagram.
METHODS FOR CONSOLIDATING MODULE TYPES FOR INDUSTRIAL CONTROL SYSTEMS
A programmable discrete input module is described. In one or more implementations, the programmable discrete input module comprises a pulse width modulation module configured to generate a pulse width modulated based upon an input signal and a pulse width demodulation module configured to generate a demodulated pulse width signal. An isolator is configured to isolate the pulse width modulation module and the pulse width demodulation module and to generate isolated modulated pulse width signal based upon the pulse width modulated signal for the pulse width demodulation module and to generate the demodulated pulse width signal. The programmable discrete input module also includes a first comparator and a second comparator for comparing the demodulated pulse width signal with a respective programmable reference and a digital filter configured to filter a comparison signal output by the first comparator or the second comparator to generate a discrete input signal.
SCADA WEB HMI CLIENT DEVICE AND SCADA WEB HMI SYSTEM
The SCADA web HMI client device runs a plurality of web browsers communicating with a web server. A first web browser is displayed on first monitor and draws an HMI screen for monitoring and controlling an industrial plant. A second web browser is displayed on a second monitor and draws the HMI screen. An operation right table is obtained from the web server. If, in the operation right table, the first web browser is not permitted to operate the HMI screen, an operation part positioned on the HMI screen of the first web browser is drawn in an inoperable state. If, in the operation right table, the second web browser is permitted to operate the HMI screen, the operation part positioned on the HMI screen of the second web browser is drawn in an operable state.
SCADA OPERATOR DECISION SUPPORT USING INTEGRATED ENGINEERING AND OPERATIONAL DATA SERVER SYSTEM AND METHOD
Embodiments of the invention include a system and method capable of generating an operations management interface enabling monitoring of distributed components of a process control application. The operations management interface can include a customizable display enabling operators to prepare decisions based on a context-based three-dimensional representation of the distributed components. The operations management interface display includes controls for manipulating graphically displayed representations of data rendered by the distributed components, and an interface for exchanging requests and data through data links to one or more distributed data-linked components. Some selectable displayed information in the operations management interface window can include locations, interconnection layout and hierarchy, and specifications, and datasheets of distributed components.
MONITORING SYSTEM CONTROL INTERFACE FOR ASSET TREE DETERMINATION
A method to provide an interface for asset tee determination includes performing a search of data, the search including user-supplied criteria information, causing display of results of the search, receiving user input providing classifications for the results of the search, the classifications indicating asset identifier and asset parent identifier fields in the results of the search, identifying, based on the user input and the results of the search, a plurality of unique assets identifiers and corresponding asset parent identifiers, and automatically generating a computer representation of an asset hierarchy comprising an asset node for each asset identifier, an asset parent node for each asset parent identifier, and a representation of hierarchical relationships between asset nodes and asset parent nodes.
Method and System for Security Monitoring on an OT System
Various embodiments of the teachings herein include a method for security monitoring on an OT system. The method may include: determining a time range for calculation on data of the OT system; collecting from the OT system 10, data in the determined time range on a first aspect for security monitoring; calculating, based on data collected, an indicator on the first aspect; and visualizing the indicator on the aspect in a quantitative way.
MODULAR CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DYNAMICALLY ADAPTIVE PROCESS CONTROL OF A PLANT IN A MACHINE-TO-MACHINE NETWORK
Proposed is system and method for modular control system providing a dynamically adaptive process control of a process line of a plant in a Machine-to-Machine network. The process line of the plant comprises a plurality of distributed machine control system with one or more elements interlocked to one or more operational unit of the process line. The operation of an operational unit performing a physical function within the process line is controlled by an associated machine control system by means of the elements interlocked to the operational units. The interlocked elements at least comprise IO-interfaces and actor control devices.
Process image within controllers enabling visibility and accessibility of real world objects
A system for using digital twins to interact with physical objects in an automation system includes a plurality of controller devices, a process image backbone, and a registry comprising a plurality of digital twins. Each respective controller device comprises a volatile computer-readable storage medium comprising a process image area. The process image backbone provides the controllers with uniform access to the process image area of each controller. Each digital twin in the registry corresponds to a physical device controllable via one of the controllers devices via a corresponding process image area.
Distributed industrial virtual assistant platform
A distributed Industrial Virtual Assistant (IVA) platform and method that that allows operational staff at industrial facilities to have natural language conversations with an IVA to obtain information about, and to control operations of, industrial facilities. For each facility, the IVA platform contains a facilities asset database, one or more domain-specific knowledge databases, a natural language processing engine, and machine learning algorithms for both knowledge domains and context which update the domain-specific knowledge databases based on continuing interactions with operational staff over time. The IVA platform is capable of generating user-specific and device-specific IVA instances that can be queried by voice or text independently of the platform but can connect to the platform to update the databases based on new knowledge, exceptions, and incidents.
Monitoring system control interface for asset tree determination
An asset monitoring and reporting system (AMRS) implements an interface to establish an asset hierarchy to be monitored and reported against. The interface employs a search query of extant asset data from which definitional aspects of the asset hierarchy can be identified, and therefrom the interface automatically determines control information reflective of the asset hierarchy to direct the ongoing operation of the AMRS.
