Prosthetic suturing device and methods thereof
A cassette is disclosed for use in a prosthetic suturing device. The cassette has a base. The base has a pair of pivots, a pair of alignment tabs, and at least one retention latch. The cassette also has a cover coupled to the base. The cover has at least one retention latch. The cover also defines one or more ferrule holders. The cassette further has one or more needles guided by the base and the cover. A surgical suturing device is also disclosed for use with a cassette. The suturing device has a cassette receiver and one or more needle drivers, each needle driver having a needle receiver positioned within the cassette receiver.
Systems, devices, and methods for closing an abdominal wall defect
Systems, devices and methods for closing a tissue defect comprise a subcutaneous guide that is placed transcutaneously between two skin access sites and a self-locking strap that may be advanced into the body through a first access site via a first needle and then passed to a second needle. The strap may be withdrawn with the second needle through a second access site to the outside of the body. The strap may be withdrawn from the first needle, leaving the strap placed through both access sites and across the defect. As the subcutaneous guide is withdrawn from the body it pulls the captured strap such that both ends of the strap protrude from the first access site, allowing the strap to be tightened around the defect.
Methods and systems for double loop stitching
In a method for providing a double loop stitch, a needle assembly having a first needle portion and a second needle portion that is removably connected to the first needle portion is provided. Opposing ends of a thread are connected to the needle portions, forming a loop that is placed around a sewing material. The needle assembly is inserted through the sewing material at an insertion point. The thread is then partially pulled through the sewing material at the insertion point such that a pair of loops of thread, separated by the insertion point, remain adjacent a first face of the sewing material. The needle portions are then separated and are passed around opposite sides of the sewing material from adjacent a second face back adjacent the first face. Each needle portion is then passed through one of the loops. The loops are then cinched and locked in place.
Medical securing device for securing an object with a securing member
A medical securing device for securing an object with a securing member into a tissue comprises an elongated sheath with proximal and distal ends, and a securing member introduction device having proximal and distal ends. The securing member comprises first and second ends. The distal end of the securing member introduction device is configured to extend the second end of the securing member from the sheath and introduce it to or through the tissue via an introduction movement so to secure the portion of the securing member to the object and/or to the tissue. This is advantageously configured to happen without extending the securing member introduction device through the tissue whereupon no extra hole is made to the tissue by the securing member introduction device.
SUTURING CATHETER AND RELATIVE SYSTEM FOR PERCUTANEOUSLY REDUCING MITRAL INSUFFICIENCY
A suturing catheter for reducing mitral insufficiency by applying suturing points percutaneously is provided. The suturing catheter has a catheter body provided with a distal end and at least one internal lumen, at least one U-folded suture filament with two free ends, each provided with a suture needle, a pair of stylets, each provided with a catch needle, the suture and catch needles being provided with a connecting portion that allows a catch needle to mechanically engage with a suture needle, and a lever having a stapling arm, from which the suture needles protrude. The stapling arm, together with the catheter body, from which the catch needles protrude, defines a catch zone for a flap of a mitral valve. An opposite operating arm, together with the catheter body, defines an operating zone of the lever.
SUTURE ANCHOR INSERTION ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF USE
Suture anchor insertion assemblies include needles pre-attached to suture or suture tape, which reside within a housing of an inserter. The suture extends around a suture bridge of a suture anchor having at least one rib extending through the internal volume. An outer surface of the shaft of the inserter includes a groove sized to receive both the rib of the suture anchor and the length of suture while still allowing the suture to slide relative to the inserter.
SUTURING DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SUTURING AN ANATOMIC VALVE
A device for suturing an anatomic valve can comprise an elongate body, a suture catch mechanism and a suture clasp arm. The suture catch mechanism can be operatively coupled to the elongate body for movement between a retracted position and an advanced position. The suture clasp arm can be attached to the elongate body for movement between a retracted position and an extended position. The suture clasp arm can comprise a suture clasp configured to releasably retain a suture portion. In some embodiments, the suture clasp is positioned on the suture clasp arm such that the suture catch mechanism retrieves the suture portion from the suture clasp arm while the arm is at least partially retracted. In some embodiments, the suture clasp arm can be closed about a tissue portion without damaging the tissue portion.
CONTINUOUS TETHERED TISSUE ANCHOR AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The invention relates to tissue anchor in medical procedures. More specifically the invention relates to a tethered anchor. Tethered anchor including a tether portion and an anchor portion that are continuously braided with one another, the tether portion extending continuously from the anchor portion; and the anchor portion having a greater width than a width of the tether portion.
Skin Lifting Thread Inserting Device
The present disclosure relates to a skin lifting thread inserting device and, more specifically, to a thread inserting device capable of enhancing a lifting effect by using a single cog thread connected to a plurality of needles. A thread inserting device for a skin lifting treatment according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: first and second needles (10a, 10b); and first and second handles (20a, 20b), wherein the thread (100) extends from the opening (11a) formed at the distal end of the first needle (10a) to the opening (11b) formed at the distal end of the second needle (10b).
Interlocking two-part sewing needle for double loop stitching
An interlocking two-part sewing needle includes a first needle portion having a needle tip and a second needle portion configured to be inserted into the first needle portion for removably connecting the first needle portion and the second needle portion together. A needle receiver is formed in the first needle portion and is configured to receive the second needle portion when the second needle portion is inserted into the first needle portion. The needle receiver includes one or more non-resistance sections. Each non-resistance section is configured to exert only a friction force on the second needle portion when the second needle portion is inserted into the needle receiver. Additionally, the needle receiver includes one or more resistance sections. Each resistance section is configured to exert a compressive force on the second needle portion when the second needle portion is inserted into the needle receiver.
