The device comprises a curved frame having a principle axis and configured to embrace, at least partially, the first organ body, the curved frame configured to receive a plurality of tissue connector devices which extend from a proximal end thereof coupled to the curved frame and terminate in a free distal end. The disclosure further relates to a tissue connector device, a holder for tissue connector devices and a tissue-collar manipulating device, and a method of coupling a first and a second organ body using such device.
Sutures and related medical devices
Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatuses, systems, and methods that include a cord that is flexible and elongated defining a length. The cord may include a core having a porous surface and a porosity-reducing element on at least a portion of the core.

The bone punch tool can include a support arm having a support arm proximal portion and a support arm distal portion, a pivot arm having a pivot arm proximal portion and a pivot arm distal portion, and an arcuate punch configured to punch through bone. The pivot arm distal portion can be pivotably coupled to the support arm distal portion, such that the pivot arm proximal portion is configured to be moved away from the support arm proximal portion to extend the arcuate punch into a punch position to punch an arcuate hole through bone. The needle guide can be configured to guide a needle through the arcuate hole.
Devices and methods for suture placement
A suturing device includes a needle, a suture, an elongate body, an actuator and a needle holder. The suture connects with the needle. The needle holder extends away from a distal end portion or is provided as part of the distal end portion of the elongate body. The needle holder includes a distal end section having a distal-most tip, and defines a needle passage for holding the needle and a distal opening. At least a portion of the suture extends through the distal opening when the needle is received in the needle passage and the actuator is in a first operating position. At least a portion of the suture extends along the needle passage toward the distal opening between the needle and an inner surface of the needle holder when the needle is received in the needle passage and the actuator is in the first operating position.
Devices and methods for suture placement
A suturing kit includes a double-armed suture, at least one suturing device and a suture holding structure. The double-armed suture has a first needle at a first end and a second needle at a second, opposite, end. The at least one suturing device includes a first needle holder configured to receive the first needle in a retracted position, a second needle holder configured to receive the second needle in a retracted position and at least one actuator configured to drive the first needle or the second needle in an advance direction toward a released condition. The suture holding structure holds at least a portion of the suture between the first end and the second end, and the suture holding structure is separate from the at least one suturing device so as not to be inserted into the patient during the surgical procedure.
FIXATION DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENGAGING TISSUE
System for fixation of leaflets of a heart valve including a delivery catheter having an elongated shaft, a proximal end portion and a distal end portion configured to be positioned proximate native leaflets of a heart valve from a remote vascular access point, the delivery catheter further includes a rotatable actuator rod having a threaded fastener at a distal end thereof, and a fixation device releasably coupled by a threaded connection to the threaded fastener of the actuator rod. The fixation device includes a first arm moveable between a closed position and an open position, a second arm moveable between a closed position and an open position. The fixation device further includes a first gripping element movable relative to the first arm in the open position, the first gripping element biased toward the first arm to capture a first leaflet of the heart valve therebetween, and a second gripping element movable relative to the second arm in the open position, the second gripping element biased toward the second arm to capture a second leaflet of the heart valve therebetween. The first gripping element and the second gripping element each includes a plurality of barbs extending therefrom, the plurality of barbs of each of the first gripping element and the second gripping element being aligned transversely in at least one row. The fixation device further includes a covering disposed on each of the first gripping element and the second gripping element, wherein the plurality of barbs of the first gripping element and the second gripping element, respectively, protrude through the covering.
Sternal closure system
A system including a bone punch tool and a needle guide.
Tissue anchor assembly with an adjustment button
A tissue anchor assembly comprises a tissue anchor; a suture; and an adjustment button coupled with the suture. The adjustment button is adapted to adjust tension relative in the suture. When tension is applied to a second suture section trailing away from the tissue anchor, the adjustment button is engaged with the second suture section through locking splines and the adjustment button slides along a portion of the suture to increase a distance between the adjustment button and the tissue anchor. When tension is applied to a first suture section trailing away from the tissue anchor, the adjustment button moves in a direction towards the tissue anchor to reduce a distance between the adjustment button and the tissue anchor.
SUTURING KIT AND PACKAGE
A suturing kit includes a suture and a suture holder for holding the suture. The suture has a first end and a second, opposite, end. The suture holder includes an elongated wall defining a suture receiving passage that is elongated along a longitudinal axis and terminates at a suture exit opening. The suture receiving passage has a width at least twice the diameter of the suture and receives the suture such that the suture is folded over forming a half loop section spaced from the suture exit opening. A first second of the suture extends from the half loop section toward the first end and a second section of the suture extends from the half loop section towards the second end. The first section and the second section of the suture within the suture receiving passage are aligned parallel to the longitudinal axis.
