SUTURE DELIVERY AND/OR RETRIEVAL DEVICE
A suture delivery device includes a base portion and a deployment portion extending from the base portion. The base portion defines a longitudinal axis. The deployment portion includes a plurality of petals extending along the longitudinal axis parallel to one another when the deployment portion is in a delivery position and extending radially outward from the longitudinal axis when the deployment portion is in a deployed position
Arthroscopic surgical device
An arthroscopic surgical device for tunneling through hard tissue including an arcuate tunneling needle driver and a bone engagement element, the arcuate needle driver and the bone engagement element being joined together to provide a joined needle driver and bone engagement element having at least two different operative orientations including an arthroscopic operative orientation wherein the joined arcuate needle driver and bone engagement element has a trans-incision insertion cross-sectional footprint and a tunneling operative orientation suitable for tunneling, wherein the joined arcuate needle driver and bone engagement element has a tunneling cross-sectional footprint which is substantially greater than the insertion cross-sectional footprint.
GASTROINTESTINAL TISSUE APPROXIMATION CLIP (GI TAC) SYSTEM
A gastrointestinal tissue approximation clip (“GI TAC”) system for approximating tissue defects, the GI TAC system including an applicator that is sized to travel through an instrument channel of an endoscope; a plurality of tissue approximation clips that are transported to a plurality of locations about a tissue defect by the applicator; a suture coupled to at least one of the tissue approximation clips; and a clip approximation means for approximating the tissue approximation clips. The clip approximation means and the tissue approximation clips are sized respectively to travel through the instrument channel, and the tissue approximation clips are adapted to be detachably coupled to the applicator.
NEEDLE HARVESTING DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A suturing system including an elongate distal member and an elongate proximal member proximal the elongate distal member, the elongate proximal member having a lumen. A needle deployment actuator extends to the elongate distal member and is configured to initiate proximal movement of a needle toward an opening of the elongate proximal member. A guide is disposed within the elongate proximal member, a perimeter of the guide forming a plurality of needle receiving gaps that, when viewed in cross-section, are circumferentially spaced about the deployment actuator with a portion of the guide disposed between adjacent needle receiving gaps extending outwardly towards a wall of the lumen of the elongate proximal member.
MEDICAL INSTRUMENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MEDICAL INSTRUMENT
A medical instrument and method for producing a medical instrument with at least one instrument body part made from an instrument body part blank by forming. The at least one instrument body part has at least one deburring face formed by milling. The at least one deburring face includes one or more portions. Each portion extends perpendicularly to a machining plane. A normal to the machining plane defines a deburring longitudinal axis.
PROSTHETIC INCISION DEVICE AND METHODS THEREOF
A modular surgical apparatus is disclosed. Also disclosed is a modular incision apparatus. The modular incision apparatus may be used in a minimally invasive surgery. The modular incision apparatus includes a base having a pair of pivots, a pair of alignment tabs, a proximal opening, and at least one slide guide. The modular incision apparatus includes visual and cleaning access to the blade. The modular incision apparatus is suitable for safely, efficiently, and accurately making small incisions during surgical procedures. The modular incision apparatus provides a means of making small incisions of controlled depth, while reducing the chances of inadvertent exposure of surgical staff to sharp instrument.
SURGICAL PORT FOR STAY SUTURES AND SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
A surgical port is disclosed. The surgical port has a cannular channel. The surgical port also has one or more suture slots in communication with the cannular channel. The surgical port further has a pair of cam grips for each of the one or more suture slots, each pair of cam grips comprising opposing gripping arms configured to allow suture to be pulled through the opposing gripping arms in a direction away from the cannular channel and to resist suture movement in a direction towards the cannular channel.
SUTURE ANCHOR INSERTER
The present invention provides improved suture inserter devices. The inserter devices are configured to securely hold a suture anchor with elements for routing and securing an attached suture thread and suture needle.
SUTURE SECURITY DEVICE FOR MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGICAL SUTURING
A suture security device is disclosed. The suture security device also includes a latch, a plate, and an actuator coupled to the latch and operable to move the latch away from the plate. The suture security device may also include a first latch array, a second latch array, a plurality of plates, a first actuator coupled to the first latch array and operable to move the first latch array away from the plurality of plates, and a second actuator coupled to the second latch array and operable to move the second latch array away from the plurality of plates.
Laparoscopic intraabdominal work table retractor, instrument and positioner
A SURGICAL ACCESSORY TO BE USED WITHIN THE BODY WHICH IS ATTACHED TO THE ABDOMINAL WALL, FOR HOLDING AND POSITIONING TISSUE AND SURGICAL IMPLEMENTS DURING LAPEROSCOPIC OR ROBOTIC SURGERY. THIS CONSIST OF A COLLAPSABLE TABLE WITH ATTACHED FLEXABLE OR FIXED ARMS WITH ACCESSORIES FOR HOLDING SURGICAL TOOLS OR MANIPULATING TISSUES OR ORGANS. A SURGICAL CLIP THAT ATTACHES TO OTHER INSTRUMENTS OFFERING MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS FOR CAPTURING AND SECURING OTHER ACCESSORIES SUCH AS CAMERAS OR INTRA OPERATIVE ULTRASOUND PROBES.
