An electric motor is provided comprising a rotor unit, a stator unit, a housing, and a bearing mechanism. The rotor unit rotates about a vertical center axis. The stator unit is disposed around the rotor unit. The stator unit is fixed inside of the housing. The bearing mechanism rotatably supports the rotor unit relative to the stator unit. The housing comprises a cylindrical wall portion with a bottom and a cover plate, which covers an opening of the cylindrical wall portion. The bearing mechanism further comprises at least two bearings, an upper bearing is sustained by the cover plate and a lower bearing is sustained by the bottom of the housing. The cover plate is made of electrically conductive elements and comprises at least one projection protruding toward the upper outer side of the cover plate so that the at least one projection is configured to contact, directly or indirectly, at least one grounding contact of a controller, which drives and controls the electric motor disposed on the upper outer side of the cover plate. The controller is connected to a ground potential through the cover plate and the motor housing.

CLOUD-BASED AUTOMATION SYSTEM, ZONE CONTROLLER, BUILDING GATEWAY, AND METHODS THEREOF FOR INCREASING ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF BUILDINGS

A building automation system includes a cloud controller coupled to an external network and one or more building gateways and/or zone controllers located on-premises at a building and coupled to the cloud controller via the external network. The building gateways include a communication interface and automatically scan the communication interface in order to collect a plurality of collected data and transmit the collected data to the cloud controller via the external network. The zone controllers have a variety of ports including universal input output ports with selectable power supply options and operating modes. The cloud controller analyses the collected data to determine sensor/actuator components at the building and transmits configuration data to the building gateways and zone controllers. This configuration data is utilized to dynamically reconfigure the ports and communication interfaces thereby allowing the building gateways and zone controllers to communicate with the component types at the building.

Dynamically configurable intelligent controller and control method for machine tools based on DSP/FPGA

A dynamically configurable intelligent controller of a machine tool based on DSP/FPGA and control method thereof are disclosed. The intelligent controller includes a DSP/FPGA information processing module, a data input module, an output execution module and an embedded central processing system module. The DSP/FPGA information processing module includes a hardware reconfigurable information sampling unit, a digital signal processing unit, a hardware reconfigurable algorithm unit, a hardware reconfigurable control information output execution unit and a data storage unit. The DSP/FPGA information processing module configures hardware units according to an intelligent control strategy file created based on the intelligent control needs to generate an intelligent control algorithm graph. The intelligent controller according to the present disclosure can, based on the control needs of the machine tool, dynamically configure the input and output hardware and the algorithm hard ware, and reconfigure the I/O connection and the algorithm module to generate an intelligent control algorithm graph. The intelligent controller also can dynamically output control instructions.
