OCCLUDER AND ANASTOMOSIS DEVICES

An implantable medical device for sealing and repairing defects in a body tissue or for creating an anastomosis includes a frame and a covering material. In some embodiments, the frame includes a single continuously wound wire that defines an apposition portion, a defect-occupying portion, and a sealing portion. In some embodiments, the tissue-sealing and anastomosis devices provided herein are well-suited for use in the GI tract including the small bowel and colon. In some embodiments, a two-part frame construct facilitates independent tailoring of apposition forces and radial forces exerted on tissues by the two-part frame.

IMPLANTABLE TUBE VALVE

Implantable tube valve for implanting in a human vessel, comprising a tube, having an inner and outer tube wall extending between two axial tube ends and comprising a valve member, connected to a pivot shaft supported by the tube, with the valve member pivotable between an open position and a closed position and comprising an actuator mechanism, mounted on the outer tube wall and comprising a pivot member, arranged for driving the pivot shaft from the outer tube wall by an actuation force from the actuator mechanism and comprising at least one biasing element, connected to the pivot member and arranged for preloading the pivot member to bistably bias the valve member towards the open or closed position, wherein the pivot member is substantially curved, having a curvature following a contour of the inner tube wall to limit a lateral extension of the implantable tube valve.

OCCLUSION CLIP

An occlusion clip comprising: (a) a spring; (b) a first runner including a first open top and a first open end adjacent the first open top, the first runner including a first interior camming surface partially delineating a first interior cavity that is open by way of the first open top and the first open end; (c) a second runner including a second open top and a second open end adjacent the second open top, the second runner including a second interior camming surface partially delineating a second interior cavity that is open by way of the second open top and the second open end, where the spring is configured to be coupled to the first runner and the second runner, where the first interior cavity is configured to receive a first portion of the spring, where the second interior cavity is configured to receive a second portion of the spring, where the first camming surface is configured to engage a first cam of the spring, and where the second camming surface is configured to engage a second cam of the spring.

LINKING ELEMENTS FOR IMPLANTABLE SPHINCTER ASSISTANCE DEVICE

An implantable restriction device includes a plurality of beads, a plurality of links joining the beads together, and a parking feature. Each bead in the plurality of beads includes a housing, a passageway extending through the housing, and at least one magnet disposed around the passageway. The plurality of links are slidably disposed in corresponding passageways of the beads such that the plurality of beads can transition between a constricted configuration and an expanded configuration. The parking feature can consistently position the at least one link relative to the housing in the contracted configuration.

An enclosure provides a prophylactic barrier that may be permeable to gases, hormones, proteins, and peritoneal fluid, but restrains tumor cells within the enclosure so as to inhibit ovarian cancer invasion of adjacent tissue, and increase the speed of diagnosis of ovarian dysplasia, including cancer. The enclosure includes one or more of fiducial markers, heat sensors, and blood flow reflectors, which may be imaged non-invasively in order to detect conditions or pathology affecting the ovary. The enclosure may also include an access port that permits sampling of the enclosure's contents to further aid in detecting or treating conditions or pathology affecting the ovary.

UTERINE MANIPULATOR

A uterine manipulator device includes: an elongated cannulated tube having proximal and distal ends, a cervical cup positioned on the elongated cannulated tube with a top distal portion of a first diameter and a base proximal portion of a second smaller diameter, and an occluder assembly comprising an occluder positioned proximally from the cervical cup on the elongated cannulated tube, the occluder having a body with at least one primary rib and at least two secondary ribs, wherein a diameter of at least one secondary rib is smaller than the diameter of the primary rib.

Generally, abnormal pressures in the sinus cavity can have physiological effects due to stimulation or injury of various nerves that are in proximity to the sinus, including increased or decreased pressure on the nerves as well as extrusion of the nerves into the sinus cavities due to bony dehiscence. Methods and devices for alleviating disorders associated with the sinus cavities are described. Embodiments herein include diagnosing these disorders by occluding or restricting the sinus ostium and assessing the physiological effects caused by the occlusion/restriction and treating these disorders by navigating/directing a dilating device to the sinus ostium and dilating the sinus ostium. Other embodiments are directed to devices for maintaining the ostial opening.
