SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING CHLORINATORS
Systems and methods for controlling chlorinators for pools and spas are provided. A controller communicates with a processor positioned within a replaceable cell cartridge of a chlorinator, to allow for remote control and diagnosis of the chlorinator and/or cell cartridge. The cell cartridge stores, in non-volatile memory on board the cartridge, one or more parameters associated with the cartridge. The controller can obtain this information from the processor of the cell cartridge, and can use same to configure operation of the chlorinator. Information relating to remaining cell life can be updated by the controller and stored in the non-volatile memory of the cell cartridge. Electrical and software-based mechanisms are provided for ensuring operation of only compatible cell cartridges with the chlorinator. A system for remotely diagnosing errors associated with the chlorinator is also provided.

A remote machining optimization system for a machine tool is provided, which includes an input unit configured to input a machining parameter including a spindle speed and a cut depth; a receiving unit configured to receive sound signals and vibration signals from the machine tool; a processing unit configured to generate a machining program with a program generating module, to modify the spindle speed and the cut depth according to the sound signals with a speed optimization module and a depth optimization module, respectively; a communication unit configured to send the machining program to the machine tool; and a storage unit configured to store the modified spindle speed and the cut depth.

Methods and Systems for Adjusting Operation of a Robotic Device based on Detected Sounds
An example method includes determining an expected sound profile corresponding to a given task for a robotic device. The method further includes detecting a sound profile during execution of the given task by the robotic device. The method also includes determining one or more differences in amplitude for at least one frequency range between the detected sound profile and the expected sound profile corresponding to the given task for the robotic device. In response to determining the one or more differences in amplitude for the at least one frequency range between the detected sound profile and the expected sound profile, the method additionally includes identifying at least one component of the robotic device associated with the detected sound profile during execution of the given task. The method further includes adjusting control data for the at least one component of the robotic device.
Remote diagnostic device for computer-controlled apparatus
A remote diagnostic device for a computer-controlled apparatus is provided with a camera configured to pick up an image on a display screen of the computer-controlled apparatus, a diagnostic computer installed in a remote place, and a signal conversion adapter. The signal conversion adapter transmits the image picked up by the camera to the diagnostic computer through a network communication line, automatically identifies an actuator of the computer-controlled apparatus, and converts a remote control signal received from the diagnostic computer into an input/output signal for the actuator and outputs the signal to the computer-controlled apparatus.
