Circular fastener cartridges for applying radially expandable fastener lines
A fastener cartridge assembly for use with a circular surgical fastening device. The fastener cartridge assembly includes a cartridge body that has a circular deck. A plurality of fastener cavities is provided in the circular deck. Each fastener cavity includes two cavity ends wherein one cavity end of each of the fastener cavities is positioned on a first circular axis having a first radius and wherein the other cavity end of each fastener cavity is positioned on a second circular axis that has a second radius that differs from the first radius.
Staple cartridge assembly including a ramp
A staple cartridge assembly comprising a cartridge body, a deck, a longitudinal row of staple cavities defined in the deck, a plurality of staples removably stored in the row of staple cavities, and a ramp is disclosed. The cartridge body comprises a proximal end and a distal end. Each staple comprises a base, a first leg extending from the base, and a second leg extending from the base. The base comprises a groove. The ramp is configured to move from the proximal end toward the distal end to eject the staples from the staple cavities. The ramp travels along a path aligned with the bases of the staples. The first legs are positioned on a first side of the path. The second legs are positioned on a second side of the path. The groove of the base is configured to receive the ramp as the ramp travels along the path.
SURGICAL ADAPTER ASSEMBLIES AND WIRELESS DETECTION OF SURGICAL LOADING UNITS
An adapter assembly includes an elongated body configured to couple to a handle assembly and a loading unit assembly. The adapter assembly includes an oscillator configured to output a voltage signal. A sensor determines a connection status of the loading unit assembly coupled to the adapter assembly based on a change in the voltage signal. The voltage signal includes a rectified voltage output and an induced voltage output and changes in response to the approximation of a winding disposed within a loading unit assembly to the oscillator.
MEDICAL CLIP CARTRIDGE
A medical clip cartridge (1) for connecting a medical clip (22) to a line member (25) having a connection part (31) on a distal part thereof, comprising an insertion port (2) for inserting a line member (25), an insertion path (3) extending distally from the insertion port (2), and a storing part (4) for storing a clip (22), that is connected to a distal end of the insertion path (3), wherein the insertion path (3) has a protrusion (5) projecting from an inner surface of the insertion path, and the protrusion (5) has a part whose top surface widens toward a distal end thereof and whose height from the inner surface of the insertion path increases toward the distal end.
Snap-on surgical clip cartridge
A surgical clip cartridge, assembly, and method are provided for the storage, delivery, and loading of clips, such as those used in a surgical ligating process. The surgical clip cartridge includes a base portion extending in a longitudinal direction, the base portion having a bottom surface and defining a mounting groove for attaching the base portion onto a surgical instrument shaft. The base portion further includes a plurality of dividers extending from the base portion in a direction opposite of the bottom surface, and the plurality of dividers may be used to retain individual surgical clips therebetween for subsequent retrieval and loading onto a clip applier. The attachment of the surgical clip cartridge to the surgical instrument shaft enables the surgical clip cartridge to be deployed intracorporeally for use in surgical operations requiring applications of multiple surgical clips.
Method for operating a powered articulating multi-clip applier
A method for adjusting control parameters of a clip applier using a surgical hub is disclosed. The method comprises gathering data during a first surgical procedure, evaluating the gathered data to determine the appropriate operation of a clip applier in a subsequent surgical procedure, gathering data during the operation of the clip applier in the subsequent surgical procedure, determining if the operation of the clip applier needs to be adjusted based on the data gathered during the subsequent surgical procedure, and adjusting the operation of the clip applier based on the data gathered during the subsequent surgical procedure.
CLIP CARTRIDGE
A cartridge may include a pair of side walls separated by a compartment, the compartment being configured to receive a surgical clip, and a base member supporting the pair of side walls. The pair of side walls may extend at an acute angle relative to a vertical axis of the base member to hold the surgical clip at the acute angle. The acute angle may be greater than 10? and/or about 20-30?. The cartridge may also include a pedestal extending between the pair of side walls and configured to support the surgical clip, where the pedestal is disposed at the acute angle. The cartridge may further include a retainer configured to retain the surgical clip in the compartment, the retainer including a pair of fingers configured to contact the surgical clip, where the pair of fingers are oriented at the acute angle.
LIGATING CLIP FOR CONTINUOUS FIRING
The invention provides a ligating clip for continuous firing and a process, which can arrange a plurality of ligating clips diastolically and orderly in the same direction and fix them in a continuous firing cartridge; Moreover, the ligating clip in the cartridge can be compressed to the allowable range of the puncture cannula by directionally moving the continuous firing cartridge in the cartridge sleeve, and the continuous firing cartridge can be separated from the cartridge sleeve; Alternatively, after the positioning guide post is arranged on the side cartridge, the positioning guide post is provided with a positioning groove, so the ligating clip is precisely positioned into the T-shaped upper slot between the first upper cartridge and the second upper cartridge, and the T-shaped lower slot between the first lower cartridge and the second lower cartridge, convenient to install the ligating clip while the ligating clip can be effectively positioned.
SURGICAL INSTRUMENT WITH WIRELESS COMMUNICATION BETWEEN A CONTROL UNIT OF A ROBOTIC SYSTEM AND REMOTE SENSOR
A surgical instrument for use with a robotic system that has a control unit and a shaft portion that includes an electrically conductive elongated member that is attached to a portion of the robotic system. The elongated member is configured to transmit control motions from the robotic system to an end effector.
