Release mechanism for hemostasis clip

Release mechanism for medical device includes a bushing having a proximal end, a distal end and a channel extending therethrough. Plurality of extend proximally from the distal end are biased toward a release configuration in which engagement surfaces at distal ends thereof retract radially into the channel. A core pin insertable through the channel applies a radially expansive pressure to move the arms radially outward to a locking configuration. Engagement surfaces of the first and second arms connect to a retaining surface of a tissue treatment device containing capsule, which extends at an angle relative to the engagement surfaces selected so that a first portion of a force transmitted along an axis of the bushing moves the arms radially inward toward the release configuration before a second portion of the force exceeds a threshold level associated with the removal of a tissue treatment device from gripped tissue.

Spring clips are arranged end to end in a cavity of an inner shaft. Such shaft slides within an outer shaft, and a pusher member slides in the cavity behind the clips. The clips have jaws biased together, but which are wedged apart by an opener as the pusher is moved distally. An opened clip is ejected by relative movement of the inner and outer shafts to clamp body tissue at a desired site.

Hemostasis clip deployment

A device includes a clip including a capsule and a pair of clip arms, proximal ends of which are slidably received within a channel of the capsule to move the clip arms between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The clip arms are aligned relative to one another via a pin received within openings extending through proximal ends of the clip arms. A proximal portion includes a flexible shaft extending from a proximal end to a distal end including a bushing releasably coupled to the capsule. A control member extends longitudinally through the flexible shaft from a proximal end to a distal end releasably coupled to the proximal ends of the clip aims, the distal end of the control member including a pair of holding jaws, each of which include a pair of fingers extending about the pin along opposing sides thereof to grip the pin therebetween.

ENDOSCOPIC TREATMENT TOOL

An endoscopic treatment tool includes a sheath having a lumen, an elongated shaft inserted into the lumen and having an insertion passage, a stylet disposed in the insertion passage, an implant connected to the stylet, and a manipulation part main body provided on the sheath, a slider advanceable and retractable in an axial direction relative to the manipulation part main body, and a cam tube retracting while rotating in accordance with manipulation of the slider and having a spiral guide passage. A proximal end portion of the stylet has a projection engaged with the guide passage such that a force retracting the stylet is applied to the stylet by the cam tube retracting while rotating. The projection is slidable on the guide passage such that the stylet is advanceable relative to the elongated shaft against the force.

ENDOSCOPIC MULTI-CLIP DISPENSING APPARATUS
20170224351 · 2017-08-10 ·

An endoscopic multi-clip dispensing apparatus has elongated inner and outer conduits sleeved together, wherein the inner conduit reciprocates between extension and retraction. A plunger rod pushes a line of clips through the core of the inner conduit at an indexed rate of one clip at a time. Each C-shaped clip has a pair of elongated jaws mated together at a hinge end. The clips are loaded into the inner conduit in head to tail fashion, with the jaw ends of a trailing clip pushing the hinge end of a leading clip. There further is a pair of wedge-shaped flared structures proximate the dispensing end of the conduits, for prying open the jaws of the lead clip during the progression of it being dispensed. Ultimately, after the lead clip passes clear of the flared structures, its jaws are free to snap shut and ‘bite’ into a target anatomy.

ENDOSCOPIC TREATMENT INSTRUMENT

An endoscopic treatment instrument includes a pressing tube with an insertion lumen; a clip main body that has a first arm being inserted into the insertion lumen; a second arm fixed to the pressing tube; and an operation wire connected to the clip main body to move it with respect to the pressing tube, wherein the first arm approaches the second arm while being moved to a proximal end side of the pressing tube, in an initial state before the clip main body is pulled by the operation wire, a position of a distal end of the first arm is more distal than a position of a distal end of the second arm, and the distal end of the first arm is approaches the distal end portion of the second arm when the clip main body is pulled to the proximal end side of the pressing tube.

Heart valve sealing devices and delivery devices therefor

An implantable prosthetic device includes a coaption portion, paddles, and clasps. The paddles are moveable from a closed position to an open position. The clasps are also moveable from an open position to a closed position. The implantable prosthetic device can be used to repair a native valve, such as a native mitral valve. Other embodiments are also described.

Tissue engagement device

Medical devices and methods of using medical devices are disclosed. An example tissue engagement device includes a first actuation member including a body coupled to a first jaw and a second jaw at a pivot point, wherein the body is designed to shift between a first configuration and a first compressed configuration and a second actuation member coupled to the first actuation member at the pivot point and at a fixation point, wherein the second actuation member is designed to shift between a second configuration and a second compressed configuration. Further, shifting the first actuation member from the first configuration to the first compressed configuration, shifting the second actuation member from the second configuration to the second compressed configuration, or both, shifts the first jaw and the second jaw between a closed configuration and an open configuration.
