The handle is configured to change a configuration of the clip between a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the obstruction and the wire are placed in a relative position, the handle opens the arms, and the obstruction contacts the first wall. In the second configuration, the obstruction and the wire maintain the relative position, the handle closes the arms, and the obstruction is spaced apart from the first wall.

Clip devices, systems, and methods for engaging tissue

The present disclosure relates to compression clips, and more specifically, to compression clips delivered to a target site through an endoscope for use in tissue resection, for example, within the gastrointestinal tract. In examples, clips are configured to be actuatable in response to a compressive force to transition between an open configuration and a closed configuration. In an embodiment, a tissue clipping device may include a first member with a plurality of arms. Each of the arms may extend from a first end to a second end, and the first end of each arm may be received within the first member. The arms may be movable between the open configuration and the closed configuration. A second member may be slidably disposed with respect to the first member.

A hydraulically driven clip applier includes: a pair of jaws that respectively include, at a tip end, a pair of gripping portions capable of holding a clip therebetween and are coupled to each other in a manner to allow the pair of gripping portions to be opened and closed and when a base end of the pair of jaws is opened, close the pair of gripping portions; and an opening/closing driving mechanism that is a cylinder mechanism including a rod and when supplied with an operating fluid, extends the rod. Base end portions of the pair of the jaws are positioned at a distance from each other. The opening/closing driving mechanism is configured to position a tip end of the rod between the base end portions of the pair of jaws and open the base end of the pair of jaws by extending the rod.

A multi-arm clip comprising: a central arm; a pair of outer arms configured to rotatably connect to the central arm; a slide pin configured to move along a longitudinal axis direction of the central arm to open or close the pair of outer arms using an outer arm slot defined by the pair of outer arms; a retention feature provided on either the central arm or each one of the pair of the outer arms, the retention feature configured to maintain a gripping force between the central arm and the pair of outer arms in an adjustable manner; and a force transmitter configured to move the slide pin along the longitudinal axis direction; wherein the pair of outer arms includes an outer arm slot, the outer arm slot configured to make the slide pin movable.

Method and apparatus for percutaneous delivery and deployment of a cardiovascular prosthesis

Catheter apparatuses and methods are provided for repairing heart valves, particularly mitral valves. The method includes providing a catheter having an elongate, flexible body, with a proximal end and a distal end. The distal end can be transluminally advanced from the left atrium through the mitral valve and along the left ventricular outflow tract into the ascending aorta. A valve repair device is deployed to permanently connect leaflets at a mid-section of a mitral valve while permitting medial and lateral portions of the natural leaflets to open and close. The valve repair device detachably connects the distal and proximal ends of the catheter.

Prosthetic device for heart valve

An implantable prosthetic device includes a plurality of anchor members, a plurality of clasps, and a cover. The plurality of clasps are configured to capture the leaflets to secure the leaflets to the anchor members. The cover is disposed over the plurality of anchor members. The cover can also be disposed over the clasps and a spacer member. A portion of the cover can be covered by a coupler. One or more extensions of a coupling collar can extend through the cover.

Apparatus for treating blood flow regurgitation through a native heart valve includes a selective occlusion device sized and configured to be implanted in the native heart valve and selectively operating with at least one of the first or second native leaflets to allow blood flow through the native heart valve when the heart cycle is in diastole and reduce blood flow regurgitation through the native heart valve when the heart cycle is in systole. A clip structure is coupled with the selective occlusion device. The clip structure is configured to be affixed to a margin of at least one of the first or second native leaflets to secure the selective occlusion device to the native heart valve.

An end effector includes first and second jaws selectively movable about a pivot between a spaced position and an approximated position for grasping tissue. The first jaw includes a first link pivotably engaged at a first end to a first side of a proximal end of the first jaw and pivotably engaged at a second end to a proximal flange of the second jaw. A second link is pivotably engaged at a first end to a second side of the proximal end of the first jaw and spaced a distance from the first link, the second link defining a slot configured to slidingly receive a pin disposed in the second jaw. Movement of the jaws causes the first link to pivot toward the second jaw and causes the second link to slide proximally atop the pin to approximate the jaws in a parallel manner through the entire range of motion.

Apparatus and methods are provided for closing a tubular structure within a patient's body. The apparatus includes a needle including a proximal end including a hub, a distal end including a sharpened distal tip, a lumen having an oblong cross-section extending proximally from the distal end, and defining a longitudinal axis between the proximal and distal ends, and a clip deliverable from the lumen. The clip is compressible between a relaxed state in which a plurality of tines of the clip are shaped to engage and close a tubular structure within a patient's body, and a stressed state in which the tines are compressed to allow the clip to be loaded into the. The apparatus may also include a pusher member for deploying the clip from the distal tip of the needle such that the tines engage and close a tubular structure through which the tubular member is directed.
