THROUGH THE SCOPE TENSION MEMBER RELEASE CLIP
An apparatus for deployment of a hemostatic clip includes a handle assembly, a shaft connected to a distal portion thereof and a clip assembly releasably coupled to a distal portion of the shaft. The clip assembly includes clip arms and a capsule cooperating with the clip arms to provide a first user feedback indicating a decision configuration of the clip assembly. In addition, the apparatus includes a control wire including a ball connector, the control wire extending from the handle assembly and coupled to the clip assembly by the ball connector to maintain the clip assembly coupled to the shaft, wherein the ball connector is detachable from the clip assembly to provide a second user feedback indicating separation of the clip assembly.
HEMOSTATIC CLIPPING DEVICES AND METHODS
A tissue clipping apparatus, comprises a flexible, elongate member, a proximal end of which remains external to the body accessible to a user while a distal end of the flexible member is inserted into the body to a location adjacent to target tissue to be clipped and a control wire extending through the flexible member in combination with a capsule releasably coupled to a distal end of the flexible member and a clip a proximal portion of which is received within the capsule. A joint releasably coupling the clip to the control wire, includes a yoke extending around a proximal end of the clip and a frangible link which fails when subject to a predetermined force to separate the clip from the control wire.
ENDOSCOPIC CLIP DEVICES AND RELATED METHODS FOR MUCOSAL DEFECT AND TRANSMURAL PERFORATION CLOSURE
An endoscopic clip device for closure of a mucosal defect or transmural perforation in a gastrointestinal wall may include a sleeve and a clip disposed at least partially within and coupled to the sleeve. The clip may be configured for reversibly moving between an open configuration for positioning relative to the wall and a closed configuration for closing the defect or perforation. The clip may include a first clip arm configured for engaging the mucosal and submucosal layers of the wall and including a first needle extending to a distal end of the first clip arm and configured for advancing through the mucosal layer and into at least the submucosal layer, and a second clip arm disposed opposite the first clip arm and configured for engaging the mucosal layer. The device may be configured for advancing through an operative channel of an endoscope or overtube having a tortuous shape.
Methods, systems, and devices for sealing and flusing a delivery system
A method for sealing and flushing a delivery member includes sealing one or more lumens and flushing air from the one or more lumens. An interventional device delivery system includes a handle assembly and a delivery member. The handle assembly includes a catheter holder with a passageway therethrough. A flush block is associated with the catheter holder and has a flush port and a flush chamber. The delivery member is associated with the handle assembly and includes a plurality of catheters. At least one of the catheters has a proximal end disposed within the passageway in the catheter holder and is in fluid communication with the flush chamber.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR POSITIONING A LEAFLET CLIP
Implantable devices formed of materials which are not readily imageable are delivered and deployed with a deployment/delivery device having one or more sensors generating a signal indicating a condition of the implantable device relative to the deployment site. For instance, the signal indicates at least one or more of the following: purchase of the implantable device with tissue, level of purchase of the implantable device with tissue, the position of the implantable device relative to the deployment site, seating of tissue with respect to the implantable device, extent of contact of the implantable device with tissue, or further information about the implantable device and/or the delivery/deployment device. As such, the implantable device need not be imaged to determine the relationship of the implantable device relative to the deployment site.
Surgical instrument systems comprising battery arrangements
A surgical instrument system comprising a handle, a shaft, and a disposable power module is disclosed. The handle comprises a motor, a control switch, and a motor-control processor which is in communication with the control switch. In various instances, the disposable power module comprises a disposable battery and a display unit configured to indicate at least one function of the surgical instrument system.
Devices, systems, and methods for clamping a leaflet of a heart valve
The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices for clamping a leaflet of a heart valve. In particular, the present disclosure relates to medical devices, systems, and methods for delivering artificial chordae tendineae in a patient. In an embodiment, a system may include a clamp having a plurality of arms at a first end. The plurality of arms may have a closed configuration in which the arms are oriented toward each other, and an open configuration in which the arms are oriented away from each other. A spring portion may be coupled to the plurality of arms at a second end that is configured to bias the arms to the closed configuration. The arms of the clamp may be configured to fixedly engage with a leaflet of the heart valve. The second end of the clamp may be configured to couple to an artificial chordae tendineae.
PHYSICIAN-CONTROLLED HANDLE FOR MEDICAL DEVICES
A medical device includes a handle that includes a first member and a second member. Outer and inner elongate members of the medical device project from a distal end of the first member. The first and second members move, such as rotationally or pivotably move, relative to each other to control relative longitudinal movement of the outer and inner elongate members.
HEMOSTASIS CLIP TWO STAGE DEPLOYMENT MECHANISM TO ELIMINATE SHED PARTS
A clipping device includes a clip including a capsule and a pair of clip arms, proximal ends of which are slidably received within the channel to move the clip arms between an open configuration and a closed configuration. Each of the pair of clip arms includes an elongated opening extending through the proximal ends thereof. A connector includes a central portion received between the proximal ends of the clip arms and a pin extending from the central portion receivable within the opening of each of the clip arms, the connector movable from an unlocked configuration, in which the pin is received within a distal portion of the elongated opening, to a locked configuration, in which the pin is received within a proximal portion of the elongated opening, when a predetermined force is applied thereto.
SURGICAL STAPLER WITH REMOVABLE POWER PACK
A surgical fastener applier including a housing containing a compartment, an elongated member extending distally from the housing, first and second jaws and a firing mechanism positioned within the housing. The firing mechanism is movable between a first position and a second position to effect firing of fasteners into the tissue clamped between the first and second jaws. A cover on the housing is openable to access the compartment. A power pack is removably loadable into the compartment, the power pack having a motor and an engagement member removably engageable with the firing mechanism within the compartment when the power pack is loaded into the compartment to effect movement of the firing mechanism from the first position to the second firing position.
