Hemostatic clipping devices and methods
A tissue clipping apparatus, comprises a flexible, elongate member, a proximal end of which remains external to the body accessible to a user while a distal end of the flexible member is inserted into the body to a location adjacent to target tissue to be clipped and a control wire extending through the flexible member in combination with a capsule releasably coupled to a distal end of the flexible member and a clip a proximal portion of which is received within the capsule. A joint releasably coupling the clip to the control wire, includes a yoke extending around a proximal end of the clip and a frangible link which fails when subject to a predetermined force to separate the clip from the control wire.
Surgical clamp
A surgical clamp may have two elongated members with a bight portion that joins the two elongated members at a proximal end of the clamp and that may bias the two elongated members in an open position at a distal end. The bight portion may have one or more engagement features, such as a slotted aperture or other engagement or coupling feature. A clasp mechanism at the distal end of the clamp may have a male or first component disposed on or adjacent one of the two elongated members and a female or second component disposed on or adjacent the other of the two elongated members at the distal end of the clamp.

A tissue retractor having an inner member positioned within an outer member has a plurality of closed loops at a distal portion forming a petal-like structure. The loops are positioned in a collapsed position within the outer member and are movable to an expanded position when exposed from the outer member.
CLIP DEVICE FOR ENDOSCOPE
Treatment device with clip is reciprocally closed and opened in one operation and locked in a second, distinct operation. The clip has a first arm and second arm which are configured to move in a direction toward and away from each other to close and open the clip; a wire connected to a proximal end of the clip configured to reciprocally move within a sheath to close and open the clip; and one or more latch elements on the clip configured to lock the clip in a closed state. Operating the wire does not lock the clip in a closed state in a single operation. Rather, the clip can be locked by another operation that is distinct from operating the wire for reciprocal movement, such as operating a stopper, an inner sheath reciprocally movable to slid over the clip arms, or a locking ring slidable over the clip arms.
Devices and methods for treatment of hemorrhoids
A device includes an anoscope including an elongated hollow member with a longitudinal slot configured to receive tissue in an interior of the hollow member. The device also includes a clip applicator. The clip applicator includes a body slidably received in the slot and jaws at a distal end of the body configured to hold a ligation clip. The clip applicator further includes a plunger slidably coupled to the body configured to actuate the jaws. When the clip applicator is inserted into the slot and the plunger is moved relative to the body, the jaws close and deform the ligation clip from an open position into a closed position around tissue received in the slot.
Endoscopic surgical clip applier
An endoscopic surgical clip applier includes an endoscopic assembly and a handle assembly. The handle assembly includes a housing, a trigger, a drive bar, and a ratchet assembly. The ratchet assembly includes a first rack, a second rack, a pawl housing engageable with the first rack, and a second pawl engageable with the second rack. In a first position, the pawl housing is in registration with the first rack to prohibit reversal of a direction of movement of the trigger until the pawl housing is disposed beyond a proximal end or a distal end of the first rack. In a second position, the pawl housing is out of registration with the first rack to permit reversal of the movement of the trigger after the second pawl is disposed distally beyond a distal end of the second rack or proximally beyond a proximal end of the second rack.
Systems and methods for closing portions of body tissue
A system for closing a blood vessel includes a housing having a proximal end and a distal end and configured to be held in the hand of a user, an elongate body extending from the distal end of the housing, a distal housing having a proximal end coupled to a distal end of the elongate body and having a cavity including an opening on a side of the distal housing, a lumen passing through the elongate body and terminating at the cavity of the distal housing and configured to couple to a vacuum source, a sensor carried by the distal housing adjacent the cavity and configured for identifying a blood vessel, wherein the lumen is configured to maintain a vacuum within the cavity when a probe having a vessel closure module is inserted within the lumen and the vessel closure module is within the cavity.
DEVICE FOR SECURING HEART VALVE LEAFLETS
A heart valve prosthesis is provided that includes a first member and a second member. The first member comprises a first central portion to be disposed adjacent to a line of coaptation on a first side of two adjacent heart leaflets and peripheral portions to be placed into direct contact with the two adjacent heart leaflets. The second member is separate from or can be separable from the first member, for example during delivery. The second member has a central portion and peripheral portions configured to be placed into direct contact with a second side of the two adjacent heart leaflets.
Clamping instrument and clamping assembly
The invention provides a clamping instrument and a clamping assembly, which mainly comprises a positioning base, a moving base, at least two clamping arms connected with the moving base, at least two linkage arms respectively connected with each of the clamping arms and the positioning base, and an actuating rod respectively penetrating through the positioning base and the moving base, wherein the positioning base is rotated circumferentially and fixed axially relative to the actuating rod, and the moving base is rotated circumferentially and moves axially relative to the actuating rod; when the movable rod is rotated circumferentially, a distance between the moving base and the positioning base can be changed, and then each of the clamping arms is linked to be rotated around the moving base to be in an unfolded position or a clamped position so as to clamp a preset site of a human tissue. Thus, the rotating amplitude of the clamping arms can be finely adjusted to provide a clamping force with high precision in the present invention.
ARTICULATED ENDOSCOPIC INSTRUMENT
An endoscopic instrument containing a retractable tool at its end that is articulated by engaging an actuator that moves pull wires to angularly move the tip of the instrument along a plane for conducting a procedure at a target site. The tool of instrument is linearly move from an extension position to a retracted position by another actuator. The instrument provide rotational control of the tool and instrument tip portion with a rotational actuator for rotating housings that carry both pull wires and a conducting wire connected to the tool.
