Multifunctional pill box carrying pouch
A multifunctional pill box carrying pouch is revealed. The pill box carrying pouch includes at least one pill box, at least one pouch, and at least two long ties. The pill box is a rigid rectangular box while the two long ties form a single longer tie. The respective long ties are detachably connected to the pouch by the two second connecting members. The pill box carrying pouch has a limb-carrying mode and a waist-carrying mode. Users can select the limb-carrying mode of the pill box carrying pouch when user's limb is injured and a support for the limb is required. By the two long ties arranged adjacent to each other and tightened around an arm or a leg of the human body, the pill box carrying pouch is closely attached to the wound on the limb for supporting wounded area or for hemostasis.
Radial Artery Sheath Assembly
A radial artery sheath assembly includes a cuff that is wearable around a patient's wrist and a receiver is integrated into the cuff. The cuff is inflatable to compress an incision in the patient's wrist to achieve homeostasis for stopping bleeding. A ring is removably attachable to the cuff and a radial sheath is extendable through the ring to retain the radial sheath in the incision in the user's wrist when the ring is attached to the cuff. The ring is inflatable for compressing the radial sheath in the ring to inhibit the radial sheath from being removed from the incision. A lock is coupled to the ring and the lock releasably engages the receiver in the cuff for attaching the ring to the cuff.
Non-pneumatic surgical tourniquet
A non-pneumatic tourniquet including a tourniquet ring configured to resiliently constrict around a body part of a subject. The tourniquet ring defines a plurality of openings. A handle moves the tourniquet ring onto the body part and includes a first strap having a first end secured to the tourniquet ring at one of the openings and a second end secured to the tourniquet ring at one of the openings. A second strap has a first end secured to the tourniquet ring at one of the openings and a second end secured to the tourniquet ring at one of the openings.
Mechanical tourniquet apparatus and method of use
A pre-fabricated tourniquet that is easy to apply, that ensures consistent and even circumferential pressure, that is lightweight, that provides standard life saving operation, and that can be utilized in any setting or situation, and related methods are provided. Mechanically constricting tourniquet apparatus and related methods are provided that are comprised of a tourniquet body, a carriage, a torsion bar, a receiver, and a slider. The tourniquet is long enough to encircle a human limb, for example, an arm or leg. The tourniquet apparatus includes several features for preventing or otherwise limiting harm to users and/or damage to the tourniquet apparatus itself.
TOURNIQUET AND CONNECTION ASSEMBLY THEREFOR
The present invention relates generally to first aid articles and more specifically tourniquets suitable for one handed application. One embodiment of the invention is directed to a tourniquet having a base defining first and second ends. A constricting band is attached to and extends from the first end of the base. A handle is engaged with the constricting band. The constricting band is threaded through a buckle assembly including a hexagonal frame member. A hook member includes an eyelet and a cuff which is releasably engaged to a first side of the hexagonal frame member. A loop is fixedly attached to said base which attaches the eyelet of said hook member to the base.
COMPRESSION AID
The present invention relates to a compression aid for compressing a puncture site of a patient, wherein the compression aid comprises a peripheral band whose circumference can be adjusted, with a constant force spring being arranged in the peripheral band.
Systems and methods for selectively occluding the superior vena cava for treating heart conditions
Systems and methods and devices are provided for treating conditions such as heart failure and/or pulmonary hypertension by at least partially occluding flow through the superior vena cava for an interval spanning multiple cardiac cycles. A catheter with an occlusion device is provided along with a controller that actuates a drive mechanism to provide at least partial occlusion of the patient's superior vena cava, which reduces cardiac filling pressures, and induces a favorable shift in the patient's Frank-Starling curve towards healthy heart functionality and improved cardiac performance. The occlusion device may include a lumen obstructed by a relief valve that may permit fluid flow through the occlusion device to release an excessive build-up of pressure.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TOURNIQUET OPERATION AND CONTROL
Systems and methods for tourniquet monitoring and control is provided. A system includes at least one sensor, a housing, a processor, and a user communication module. The at least one sensor is configured to monitor at least one of deployment or operation of the tourniquet. The housing is configured to removably engage the tourniquet to position the at least one sensor to monitor the at least one of deployment or operation of the tourniquet. The processor is configured to receive feedback from the at least one sensor, compare the feedback to at least one of deployment or operation parameters for the tourniquet, and generate a user report. The user communication module is configured to communicate the user report.
NON-PNEUMATIC DIGITAL TOURNIQUET
A non-pneumatic tourniquet includes a tourniquet body including a strip of resiliently elastic material. The tourniquet body includes a tourniquet section and a pair of handle sections on opposite ends of the tourniquet section. The tourniquet section defines at least two holes sized and shaped to receive a body part of a subject. The tourniquet section is configured to restrict blood flow to the body part when the body part is received in one of the holes in the tourniquet section.
Self-releasing tourniquet
A self-releasing tourniquet apparatus comprises an elongate strap and a housing. The strap has a first end and a second end and a plurality of holes arranged at substantially regular intervals along its length. The first end of the strap is connectable to the housing. The housing includes a projecting element sized to be received in one of the plurality of holes on the strap. The housing includes means for moving the projecting element from a first position to a second position after a predetermined period of time, and also includes timer means for measuring the predetermined period of time. In use, the strap is tensioned around a patient's limb when the projecting element is in the first position, and tension is released when the projecting element is in the second position.
