RADIAL COMPRESSION BAND
A radial compression band employs a substantially rigid U-like cuff that fits over a patient's arm and then snaps onto a tightening band. A movable bubble member is positioned for movement along the band separate from the attachment to the patient and is inflatable to provide pressure to an incision or the like to accomplish hemostasis.
Venipuncture
A venipuncture device may be used for assisting a healthcare provider identify and locate a blood vessel in a patient. According to embodiments, heat is applied to a selected venipuncture site on the patent's limb. A pressure cuff constricts the limb proximal to the venipuncture site, thereby partially occluding blood flow through the blood vessel and engorging the blood vessel and making it more visible to the healthcare provider. The healthcare provider may then carry out various operations on the patient, including but not limited to drawing blood and insertion of an intravenous line.

SWALLOW EXERCISER
A method and system for antenna alignment is provided at a receiving antenna. Geolocation information of the receiving antenna is entered. An auto-programming sequence is initiated to tune to channels received from a transmitting antenna. A plurality of transmitted signals is received from the transmitting antenna. Each of the plurality of transmitted signals is transmitted on a respective channel and includes geolocation information of the transmitting antenna, conditional access data, and a payload. A signal processor of the receiving antenna calculates a signal path between the receiving antenna and the transmitting antenna for receiving each of the plurality of transmitted signals based on the geolocation information of the receiving antenna and the geolocation information of the transmitting antenna. A storage device of the receiving antenna records, as part of a selection list, a channel number and the calculated signal path to the transmitting antenna for each of the plurality of transmitted signals. One of said plurality of transmitted signals is selected. The receiving antenna is aligned, using a pan/tilt system, to tune the selected one of the plurality of transmitted signals according to the calculated signal path.
Transparent Tourniquet and Bandage Material System Utilizing Absorbing Components and Treatment Gas
The present invention provides a method and device for visualizing and treating an injury, wound or skin using a visual tourniquet and skin patch system made of transparent materials. The inventive bandage system is capable of applying pressure while absorbing bodily fluids away from the wound or skin and providing support for the application of one or more medicaments or a combination of treatment gas and/or medicine. The inventive bandage system enables the practitioner to visually inspect and measure the size of the wound over time without removing or touching the bandage or tourniquet thereby reducing pain and contamination of the wound bed. One embodiment of the inventive bandage system continuously controls the wound bed temperature thereby reducing pain and inhibiting bacterial growth. Other embodiments of the inventive bandage system are used as a visual tourniquet to apply a combination of pressures to a wound or skin.

Adjustable vascular ring, means for treating SFS syndrome and implantable kit comprising such a ring, mould and method for obtaining such a ring
The invention relates to a perivascular ring having an inner diameter adjustable by inflation/deflation and adapted to be implanted and closed about a vessel for controlling the inner diameter of said vessel and thus the flow and/or pressure of a fluid flowing in said vessel. The ring of the invention is capable of regulating blood flow to the liver, in particular after an hepatectomy or hepatic transplant, and to substantially improve the survival chances of the patient. The ring according the invention has an adjustable inner diameter (O.sub.i) for implantation and locking about a vessel.
