The cutting block comprises a bone attachment face, and a front face opposing the bone attachment face. The cutting block further comprises at least a first group of bone pin holes, each hole being configured for removable receipt of a bone pin. The first group of pin holes includes at least two bone pin holes that extend between the bone attachment face and the front face. The at least two bone pin holes extend parallel to each other in an anterior-posterior direction. The at least two bone pin holes are offset from each other in at least one of a superior-inferior direction or a medial-lateral direction. The at least two bone pin holes are interconnected.

A surgical tool and related methods are provided for removal of a bone sliver from a resected joint. The tool can include a housing including an upper end, a lower end, and a channel extending from the upper end to the lower end. A paddle member extends from the lower end of the housing. The paddle member includes a paddle shaft and a paddle head. The surgical tool further includes an insertion member that has a handle end, an extension that extends from the handle end, and a cutting tip. The extension is translatable within the channel such that the handle end and the cutting tip can move relative to the housing between a retracted position and an advanced position.

Joint osteotomy system and method

A resection guide includes a first body portion and a second body portion. The first body portion has a first bone engagement structure and defines a first plurality of holes. The second body portion has a second bone engagement structure and defines a second plurality of holes. The first body portion and the second body portion are operable to separate a first anatomical structure of a patient and a second anatomical structure of the patient. A cutting guide defines at least one guide aperture that is operable for guiding a cutting tool for use in resecting a portion of the second anatomical structure of the patient. The cutting guide is positionable relative to the first body portion.

ORTHOPEDIC SURGICAL SYSTEM INCLUDING SURGICAL ACCESS SYSTEMS, DISTRACTION SYSTEMS, AND METHODS OF USING SAME

A surgical access system includes a connector including an arm having first and second end portions, a coupling element having a body portion defining a cavity therein, and a gear assembly. The gear assembly includes a first gear disposed within the cavity of the coupling element and a second gear non-rotatably disposed at the first end portion of the arm. The first and second gears are meshingly engaged with each other such that rotation of the first gear results in rotation of the second gear which, in turn, causes the arm to pivot with respect to the coupling element.

Osteotomy guide plate and preparation method thereof

The invention discloses an osteotomy guide plate and a preparation method thereof. The osteotomy guide plate comprises a substrate, an osteotomy guide standardized part, a guide plate retention hole, a nail hole and a drainage channel; wherein the guide plate retention hole is distributed on the surface of the substrate; the outer end side of the nail hole is integrally formed with a standardized sleeve, and a detachably connected protective inner sleeve standardized part is provided within the standardized sleeve. The preparation method comprises parameter design and model printing, wherein an innovative nail hole positioning method is used in the parameter design. The invention is suitable for the osteotomy operation of different parts, with the advantages of convenient production, high precision and long service life; the preparation method improves the accuracy of opening a hole on the osteotomy guide plate.

Osteotomy device and operation method therefor

Disclosed is an osteotomy device, comprising an osteotomy plate (10), a fixing plate (20) and an adjusting structure (30), wherein the osteotomy plate (10) is mounted on a femur (B) via the fixing plate (20), two ends of the adjusting structure (30) are respectively connected to the fixing plate (20) and the osteotomy plate (10), and the osteotomy plate (10) slides left and right relative to the fixing plate (20) via the adjusting structure (30); and the osteotomy plate (10) has a femoral osteotomy groove (11) for performing an osteotomy from four sides and a femoral trochlear osteotomy groove (12) for performing femoral trochlear osteotomy.

Bone positioning and cutting system and method

A method of performing bunion surgery may involve attaching a bone positioning device to a first metatarsal and to a first cuneiform across a joint separating the first metatarsal from the first cuneiform. Attaching the bone positioning device can include inserting a first fixation pin into one of the first metatarsal or the first cuneiform and inserting a second fixation pin into an other of the first metatarsal or the first cuneiform. The method can involve using the bone positioning device to adjust an alignment of the first metatarsal relative to the first cuneiform; and, after adjusting the alignment of the first metatarsal relative to the first cuneiform using the bone positioning device, fixing a position of the first metatarsal relative to the first cuneiform with a bone connector.

Apparatus for osteotomy and graft preparation

Surgical tools that increase surgical accuracy for orthopedic procedures involving long bone osteotomy with or without supplementation with allograft or autograft. Two clamps on the operative side are rigidly interconnected to one another with an adjustable rod that is locked into place, preserving length and rotation of the bone. A graft preparation device is used on the operative table. It enables alignment of the graft to preserve the desired mechanical and anatomic axes and to provide rigid fixation of the graft for cutting. Adjustable jigs ensure exact cuts.

Patient-specific femoral version guide

An orthopedic device includes a monolithic patient-specific guide. The patient-specific guide includes a three-dimensional contact surface preoperatively configured from medical scans of a specific patient as a negative surface of a medial portion of a proximal femoral bone of the patient according to a preoperative surgical plan for the patient. The guide also includes a proximal planar surface configured for guiding a resection of a femoral neck of the patient, and a scale formed on the planar surface. The scale is configured for indicating a preoperatively planned femoral version of a femoral stem implant and deviations therefrom.
