Device and method for treating osteonecrosis
The present invention includes a method and devices for treating osteonecrosis in, e.g., children, adolescents, and adults comprising: identifying a subject in need of treatment for osteonecrosis; drilling two or more holes into a bone in need of treatment for osteonecrosis; inserting two or more needles or cannulas into the holes in the bone; washing an interior of the bone with a washing fluid introduced through one or more of the needles or cannulas inserted into the bone; and after washing the interior of the bone introducing one or more bone growth promoting materials or cells into the bone.
Attachment for a powered surgical tool
A front end attachment for a powered surgical tool. The front end attachment includes a nose. The nose defines a bore for receiving a shaft of a cutting accessory that is connectable to a motor of the powered surgical tool. The nose also defines a groove separate from the bore. The groove is formed in an outer surface of the nose and extends longitudinally along the nose. An irrigation fitting includes a tube that is seated in the groove of the nose. The irrigation fitting is adapted to receive an irrigating fluid. A heat shrink tubing is disposed over the outer surface of the nose to extend over and enclose the groove. The heat shrink tubing secures the irrigation fitting to the nose.
Powered instrument
Disclosed is a system to power a tool. The tool may be powered in a selected manner that may have irrigation and/or coolant provided therewith. The irrigation and cooling fluid may be provided at substantially at a working end and/or distal end of the instrument assembly.

Integrated Suction and Cooling of Angled Burr
Disclosed herein is a surgical device. The surgical device includes a cutting burr, a flexible/deflectable shaft, an elongated fluted shaft, a sheath, and an outer tube. The cutting burr has a fluted extension. The flexible/deflectable shaft has a distal end and a proximal end, the distal end is configured to be connectable to the fluted extension of the cutting burr. The elongated fluted shaft is configured to be connectable to the proximal end of the flexible shaft. The sheath is configured to receive all or portion of the flexible shaft and the elongated fluted shaft. The outer tube is configured to receive the sheath such that there is enough space for fluid irrigation between the outer tube and the sheath.
TOOL BIT FOR ULTRASONIC OSTEOTOME AND ULTRASONIC OSTEOTOME HAVING THE SAME
A tool bit for an ultrasonic osteotome includes a bit body, an arbor fixed to the bit body, and a flat end portion fixed to the arbor. A toothed edge extends linearly along a length direction of an end portion of the tool bit, and recesses are distributed evenly on the toothed edge to form teeth spaced apart from each other. The toothed edge extends linearly along a length direction, and the cutting edges of teeth are distributed linearly, e.g., instead of having a sharp structure, thus will not scrape and hurt other tissues during cutting. Since the thickness of the cutting edge is the same as that of the back edge, when cutting bone tissues, the incision is wide, thus the end portion is not easy to be clamped by bone tissue, which effectively prevents the end portion from breaking and reduces occurrence chances of surgery accidents.
Medical drill bit
A medical drill bit comprises an accommodating slot disposed concavely on a main body of the medical drill bit, a separate board disposed in the accommodating slot to separate the accommodating slot into a first slot and a second slot, and a lid engaging with the separate board and covering the accommodating slot. The lid and the separate board do not rotate with the main body when the main body in rotation. The accommodating uses to fill with cooling liquid which able to be pumped out from the accommodating slot, and fresh cooling liquid is able to inject into the accommodating slot for cooling the drill bit in rotation.
Surgical instrument system and irrigation sleeve
A surgical instrument system including an endoscope having an elongated housing extending between a proximal instrument end and a distal instrument end. The surgical instrument system may further include an irrigation sleeve having a sleeve body extending between a proximal sleeve end and a distal sleeve end. The irrigation sleeve may further have a first lumen and a second lumen spaced out of fluid communication with the first lumen, the first lumen formed in the sleeve body for receiving at least a portion of the elongated housing of the endoscope with the distal instrument end arranged adjacent to the distal sleeve end. The second lumen may be formed in the sleeve body and extend between a lumen inlet adapted for fluid communication with an irrigation source and a lumen outlet arranged to direct irrigation fluid toward the distal instrument end.
Attachment For A Powered Surgical Tool
A powered surgical tool system. The system includes a handpiece having a motor and a front end attachment removably coupled to the handpiece. The attachment has a nose defining a bore for receiving a shaft of a cutting accessory connectable to a motor of the powered surgical tool for rotation. The nose also defines an enclosed channel separate from the bore. The channel extends longitudinally and helically along the nose such that the enclosed channel curves around the nose to curve around the bore. The channel has a variable pitch as the enclosed channel extends longitudinally. An irrigation fitting is in fluid communication with the enclosed channel in the nose and is adapted to receive an irrigating fluid and flow the fluid through the enclosed channel.
Powered Instrument
