A custom-fit sock is described. The sock includes a tubular body formed from a number of courses and wales. The tubular body includes a foot portion and a leg portion merging substantially at the ankle of a wearer. The foot portion defines a foot bottom portion and an upper instep portion and further includes a heel portion positioned adjacent the foot bottom portion at a first end of the foot portion and a toe portion positioned adjacent the foot bottom portion at a second end of the foot portion. A first course includes a first number of stitches formed using a first number of selected needles of the circular knitting machine. The first number of selected needles is less than a total number of needles of the circular knitting machine.

KNITTED FOOT GARMENT AND METHOD FOR TREATING A KNITTED FOOT GARMENT

A method for treating a knitted foot garment that provides added cushion to the knitted material of the sock includes the steps of heating a liquid polymer mixture, forcing gas into the mixture, agitating the mixture to create a bubble infused mixture, injecting the bubble infused mixture into a polymer template, attaching the polymer template to the outer sole of a knitted foot garment, and cooling the gas infused polymer mixture. A knitted foot garment includes upper, heel, toe, and sole knitted fabric portions integrally woven together to define a chamber. A plurality of encapsulated polymer pads are attached to and protrude from an outer surface of either the heel, toe or sole portions. The polymer pads contain gas bubbles to provide increased cushioning to the sole of the foot garment.

APPAREL WITH GRIP ELEMENTS

A garment that includes one or more grip elements is disclosed. The grip elements, as disposed on a garment, may enable enhanced frictional forces between the garment and an object, such as exercise equipment, with which the garment may make contact. The grip elements may be composite structures disposed on one or more surfaces of the garment and may include an elastomeric and/or rubbery material with grit materials, such as sand, alumina, silicon carbide, or the like, embedded therein. The grit material may be at least partially exposed at the surface of the grip elements and may enhance gripping forces when the grip elements are wet, such as with sweat, compared to grip elements formed by only elastomeric materials. Grip elements may be formed on various portions of a garment separately and then those portions may be attached to each other to form the garment with grip elements.

SEAMLESS BRA

A garment, e.g. a bra, for sport related activities made of a single layer knitted seamless fabric. The garment is a circular knitted tube, with defined front and back sides. The garment has molded cup portions formed in the garment front to fit over a wearer's breast. The cup portions formed by molding application that shapes the cup portion to accommodate a wearers' breast. Reinforcing tapes bond to the inner surface of the garment front to support the breast at one or more portions. The reinforcing tapes bonded to one or more of an upper part of the cup portion, above the cup portion, below the cup portion, lateral to the cup portion or any combination thereof. The reinforcing tapes have lower elasticity than fabric they are bonded to. The reinforcing tapes are typically bonded by an adhesive to the fabric, i.e. the reinforcing tapes being single-sided adhesive films.

NON-CHEMICAL, MOSQUITO BITE-RESISTANT GARMENTS

An insect-proof, form-fitting undergarment is provided having top and bottom parts formed of selected breathable materials and having omnidirectional stretch properties, and which top and bottom parts may be securely joined at the waist to prevent insect entry. A superfine knitted fabric is utilized to prevent insect bites.

Garment with elastic inserts produced using circular machines
10954614 · 2021-03-23 · ·

The present invention relates to a garment with elastic inserts produced on circular machines of the type comprising elasticised sectors (3) and elasticised zones obtained by working in a further elastomeric yarnin addition to the ground yarn and the reinforcing yarn normally usedand actually knitting the yarns so as to create machined portions, both horizontally and obliquely, which result in well-defined and demarcated zones which provide greater compression than the knitted stitches on the same row, thereby providingwithin the elasticised sectors (3)a greater compression value than outside the sector on the same row of knitted stitches. The elasticised sectors (3) are designed portions which create ornamental figures or banding with specific compression which can provide support, contribute to the stimulation of blood circulation, reduce fatigue, and render movement safer and more supported, when properly positioned and sized.

Upper-torso garment with tubular-jacquard knit structure

An upper-torso garment includes a tubular-jacquard knit structure in a chest-covering portion. The tubular-jacquard knit structure is divided into a plurality of zones across the chest-covering portion, and the zones may include different versions of the tubular-jacquard knit structure.

COMPOSITE YARNS

Composite yarns including a cellulose-based filament are disclosed. The cellulose-based filament may be wrapped around a staple fiber core of the yarn or may be included in a core of the yarn and at least partially surrounded by a staple fiber sheath. Such composite yarns can combine the strength of the regenerated cellulose filament with the feel and other properties of the organic fiber. Textiles formed from the composite yarns and articles including the textiles are also disclosed.

EASY DON AND DOFF SOCK

Aspects herein are directed to a sock having an integrally knit tab positioned between a collar of the sock and a heel of the sock, where the collar defines an opening for a wearer's foot. The base of the tab is integrally knit with a reciprocally knit section to reinforce the structural integrity of the tab, which may be used to assist the wearer in donning and/or doffing the sock by acting as the primary structure by which the wearer pulls the sock around the wearer's foot when donning the sock.

HEMMING-STITCH-FREE WARP-KNITTED ELASTIC FABRIC AND METHOD FOR KNITTING THEREOF

The present invention discloses a hemming-stitch-free warp-knitted elastic fabric and a method for knitting thereof. The method includes: making a non-elastic yarn pass across a guide needle of the first guide bar and form the surface of the fabric by knitting via two needles or three needles in a 11 or 21 warp plain stitch loop mode, and making an elastic yarn pass across a guide needle of the second guide bar and form the inside of the fabric by knitting with the aforementioned non-elastic yarn in the same direction via three needles in a open double warp plain stitch loop mode, and two loops are continuously formed on each course of the open double warp plain stitch loop. The hemming-stitch-free warp-knitted fabric produced according to the present invention has good snagging grade, moderate horizontal straight tensile force and good resilience.
