Procedure for repairing foot injury
A drill guide assembly having an elongated body is configured with a first and second arm members extending from the elongated body. The second arm member is configured and adapted to be longitudinally movable along the elongated body towards and away from the first arm member for reducing fractured bones for repair. A guide housing provided on the second arm member is fitted with a removable sleeve. The removable sleeve is provided with a longitudinal bore for guiding a guide wire or a drill bit for drilling into the bones.
Bone nail
A bone nail for stabilizing a fracture. The bone nail having a head portion and a stem portion. The stem portion offset from the longitudinal axis of the head portion. The nail including a continuous passageway extending from a rear edge of the nail to a front edge of the nail. The continuous passageway including a bore extending longitudinally through the head portion and both a groove and a bore in the stem portion.
GUIDE SLEEVE FOR FINE AXIAL ADJUSTABILITY OF A FIXATION MEMBER, AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A guide sleeve for use in anchoring a fixation member to an intramedullary nail and to bone includes a sleeve body that is elongate along a central axis and has an internal surface that defines a bore extending along the central axis to a distal end of the sleeve body. The sleeve body also defines a plurality of guide channels that are each recessed radially outwardly from the internal surface and each include a helical proximal portion and a linear distal portion that extends from the helical proximal portion toward the distal end. The linear distal portion is parallel with the central axis. The guide channels are configured to receive respective complimentary followers of an instrument for driving the fixation member through the bore and subsequently through the intramedullary nail and into the bone.
CORRECTION GUIDE FOR FEMORAL NECK
A device for correcting a placement of a guide wire in a bone includes a body extending from a proximal end to a distal end; a central channel extending through the body from the proximal end to the distal end along a central axis, the central channel sized and shaped to receive a guide wire slidably therein; and a first correction channel extending through the body from the proximal end to the distal end. The first correction channel is sized and shaped to receive a guide wire therein at an angle relative to the central axis of the central axis of the central channel.
Multiple cannula image guided tool for image guided procedures
Apparatus and methods are disclosed for use within an image-guided surgical navigation system for facilitating the combined positioning and orientation of multiple surgical implements. A tool guide having multiple cannulas is tracked by a surgical navigation system in real time. Position data of the tool guide is registered and combined with pre-acquired images by the navigation computer. Concurrent graphical representations of the plurality of cannulas are superimposed over the images and displayed. The display allows the surgeon to place the tool guide into the patient's body and position and orient the plurality of cannulas which are then used to place each of the implements.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE INTRA-OPERATIVE SURGICAL GUIDANCE SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
The inventive subject matter is directed to an artificial intelligence intra-operative surgical guidance system and method of use. The artificial intelligence intra-operative surgical guidance system is made of a computer executing one or more automated artificial intelligence models trained on data layer datasets collections to calculate surgical decision risks, and provide intra-operative surgical guidance; and a display configured to provide visual guidance to a user.
Method and Devices for Intracorporeal Bonding of Implants with Thermal Energy
A system for dynamically controlling a weld profile includes a generator, and end effector, a sensor, and a computer. The generator is configured to supply energy based on the weld profile. The end effector operatively connected to the generator and configured to apply vibratory energy and pressure to an object. The sensor configured to provide an output with respect to the object. The computer configured to monitor the output and change the weld profile of the generator based on the output.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTRAMEDULLARY NAIL IMPLANTATION
Intramedullary nails, aiming guide assemblies, and methods. The aiming guide assembly can include an aiming guide having an elongate proximal handle portion. A generally arcuate distal implant alignment tip connector portion is connected to the proximal handle portion and has a distal implant alignment tip extending along a tip axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of the proximal handle portion. A recon module may be releasably attached to a proximal end of the proximal handle portion. An oblique module may be releasably attached to the distal implant alignment tip portion.
ORTHOPAEDIC TRAUMA DEVICES WITH POROUS REGIONS AND THERAPEUTIC AGENT DELIVERY
A device for treating orthopaedic trauma includes a device body having an exterior surface and a cannulation formed therein that extends from one longitudinal end of the device body to an opposite longitudinal end of the device body and at least one porous ingrowth material region associated with the exterior surface of the device body and fluidly coupled to the cannulation. The at least one porous ingrowth material region is configured to deliver a therapeutic agent from the cannulation to a region outside the device body.
Device and method for fitting an artificial knee joint using universal electronic templates which can be adapted to all artificial joints
This invention is a device and a method for preparing a knee joint for a prosthesis in a patient undergoing TKA surgery for any knee implant (prosthesis). The device and the method are used in a universal and an open platform fashion for any currently available knee implant, all patient specific implants and any knee implants that could be produced in future. The device is a patient specific instrument, which is based on a method comprising of image based (CT, MRI or computed X-ray) 3-D preoperative planning to design the templates (PSI) that are used to perform the knee surgery for any knee implant in a universal and open platform fashion.
