The present disclosure provides methods for forming or enlarging holes in objects. Objects may include bone tissue and methods for fixing matched medical plates to bodies. The movable trocar with toroidal interface is adjustable relative to the surface. The present disclosure also provides for products produced by the methods of the present disclosure and for apparatuses used to perform the methods of the present disclosure.

Patient-specific bridging plates

Disclosed herein are a bone plating system and a method for utilizing the same. The bone plating system may include first and second bone plates in contact with respective first and second bones, a cross-connector, a cutting guide and a targeter device. The cross-connector may have a first end and an opposite second extending along a longitudinal axis from the first bone plate to the second bone plate. The cutting guide may have an elongate body placed on one of the first or second bones. The targeter device may have a drill guide to align the cross-connector with the first and second bone plates. A method for fixing the bone plating system to the first and second bone may include using the targeter device.

BEAD HEAD FOR LOCKING BONE SCREWS
20220346847 · 2022-11-03 · ·

The present application relates to a spherical bead (30) to be interposed between a locking bone screw head (2) and a receiving hole (34) in a bone plate (10) and to an implant construct comprising such a bead.

JOINT SPACER SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A method of preparing a tarsometatarsal joint can include imaging a tarsometatarsal joint of a patient between a metatarsal and a cuneiform to determine a size and/or angle of a wedge-shaped bone portion to be cut at the tarsometatarsal joint. The method can include obtaining a bone preparation guide that includes a first guide surface positionable over the metatarsal and a second guide surface positionable over the cuneiform, where an angle of the first guide surface relative to the second guide surface is selected corresponding to the size and/or angle of the wedge-shaped bone portion to be cut as determined via imaging of the tarsometatarsal joint. The method can include positioning the guide surfaces over the metatarsal and cuneiform and guiding a tissue removing instrument with the guide surfaces to cut an end of the metatarsal and to cut an end of the cuneiform.

Technique For Providing User Guidance In Surgical Navigation

A technique of providing user guidance for surgical navigation is provided. A method implementation of the technique includes obtaining a predetermined spatial relationship between an optical tracking pattern and a through-hole extending through an implant, obtaining image data of the optical tracking pattern acquired by an imaging unit attached to a surgical instrument, obtaining a spatial relationship between the surgical instrument and the imaging unit at a point in time when the image data have been acquired, determining a spatial relationship between the surgical instrument and the through-hole, obtaining a plurality of predefined spatial relationships between the surgical instrument and the through-hole, and triggering simultaneous display of an indication of the plurality of predefined spatial relationships and an indication of the spatial relationship between the surgical instrument and the through-hole.

ACROMION FRACTURE REPAIR SYSTEM

A kit including (1) a plate configured to be secured to a scapular spine with a first end of the plate near a trigonum and a second end of the plate near an acromion; (2) a first hook including a mount, a first hook portion extending from the mount in a first direction, a spacer extending from the first hook portion in a transverse direction, and a second hook portion extending from an opposite end of the spacer in the first direction, the first hook adapted to extend around a lateral end of the acromion when fixed to the second end of the plate; and (3) a second hook including a mount, a curved portion curving away from the mount, and a hook portion at an opposite end of the curved portion, the second hook adapted to extend around the trigonum when fixed to the first end of the plate.

Bone stabilization systems

Bone plates for engaging bone members are described herein. The bone plates can receive one or more screws to secure the bone plates to an underlying bone member. The one or more screws can be inserted into bone plate holes that can be considered locking or non-locking. The bone plates described herein can have particular combinations of locking and/or non-locking holes. The bone plates can include features that accommodate the underlying anatomy of different types of bone, such as the condylar region of a femur.

DRILL GUIDE FOR ORTHOPEDIC DEVICE
20230088523 · 2023-03-23 ·

A bone plate system for use with fasteners for fixation of a fractured bone, including a bone plate having an elongate shaft for placement against the bone. The bone plate further has at least one threaded hole for receiving at least one fastener, with each hole having a central axis. The plate further has a bone contacting first surface, an opposite second surface, a thickness extending in a dimension between said first and second surfaces; and at least one tubular drill guide cap. The drill guide cap is engageable with a first hole of at least one threaded hole, the cap having a threaded exterior, an internal bore, a proximal end, and a distal end.

ORTHOPEDIC SURGICAL GUIDE

A surgical device includes an body extending from a proximal end to a distal end. The distal end of the body defines a notch sized and configured to receive a reamer. A coupling assembly is supported by the body and includes a reamer guide body disposed at the distal end of the body. The reamer guide body configured to move between a first position and a second position in which the reaming guide body extends at least partially across the notch. A locking assembly is supported by the body and is configured to releasably engage the coupling assembly to maintain the reamer guide body in the second position.
