PARTIALLY COVERED BRAIDED FUNNEL ASPIRATION CATHETER
The disclosure generally relates to methods and devices for removing a blockage from an anatomical passageway, for example thrombus or clot from a blood vessel. Devices and methods are provided for removing a blockage from an anatomical passageway. For example, a braided funnel is provided that may be placed adjacent a blockage. The braided funnel may be attached to an elongate tube and the blockage may be aspirated through the tube.
Clot removal device and method of using same
A minimally invasive endovascular device for treating a blocked or obstructed biological lumen, such as a blood vessel fully or partially obstructed by deposits of biological matters in or non-biological matters. Certain embodiments of the present invention comprise two capture members that are configured to be placed on either side of the obstruction and enclose around the obstruction for removal. Embodiments of the present invention also provide methods for implementing an endovascular device according to aspects of the present invention.
Shaped removal device
An obstruction removal device is described having a variable external profile shape comprising one or more smaller profile regions and one or more larger profile regions.
Clot retrieval system with inverted sleeve
A clot retrieval system includes a delivery catheter defining a lumen and having proximal and distal ends. An elongate shaft has proximal and distal ends and is configured for receipt within the delivery catheter. An inverted sleeve has a closed end attached to a distal segment of the elongate shaft and an open end. An outer section of the inverted sleeve that includes the open end is folded over onto an inner section of the inverted sleeve that includes the closed end at a rolling fold. An expansion device is supported on the elongate shaft at an axial location proximally spaced from the closed end and aligned with or distally spaced from the open end. The expansion device is configured for radially expanding the open end of the inverted sleeve.
AXIAL LENGTHENING THROMBUS CAPTURE SYSTEM
Systems and methods can remove material of interest, including blood clots, from a body region, including but not limited to the circulatory system for the treatment of pulmonary embolism (PE), deep vein thrombosis (DVT), cerebrovascular embolism, and other vascular occlusions.
Apparatus and methods for treating obstructions within body lumens
Apparatus and methods are provided for delivering fluid into a body lumen during a medical procedure. A distal end of an apparatus may be introduced into a body lumen, and a valve on the distal end may be opened to deliver fluid through a first lumen into the body lumen, e.g., contrast and/or other diagnostic or therapeutic agents. The valve may be closed, and a procedure may be performed within the body lumen, e.g., using a treatment element carried on the distal end. For example, the treatment element may include a balloon that may be inflated when fluid is delivered through the first lumen with the valve closed. Optionally, a prosthesis, energy source, drug platform, and the like may be carried by the balloon for treating the body lumen. In various embodiments, the valve may be located proximal or distal to the treatment element.
Clot retrieval system for removing occlusive clot from a blood vessel
A clot capture catheter comprises an elongate tubular shaft having a proximal end, a distal end and an inflatable expansile member at the distal end. The expansile member is inflatable from a collapsed delivery configuration to an expanded configuration. In the expanded configuration, the expansile member extends to define a funnel shape having an enlarged distal clot entry mouth at the distal-most end of the catheter. In the expanded configuration, the expansile member may extend distally beyond the distalmost tip of the shaft. The expansile member may be integral with the distal tip of the catheter shaft.
Apparatus and method for placement of device along wall of a body lumen
An apparatus (100) includes: a expandable structure (140) formable into three dimensional shapes including a range of diameters (D) and corresponding lengths (L); a movable component (106) moveable between a range of positions (124, 126) effecting the range of diameters; and a mechanical linkage (110) disposed between the movable component and the expandable structure. The expandable structure is configured to fit inside a working channel (204) of an endoscope (202) when the expandable structure is collapsed. The mechanical linkage is configured to move the collapsed expandable structure through the working channel to a selected location (400) past a distal end (404) of the endoscope and to increase and decrease a diameter of the expandable structure in response to changes in the position of the movable component when the expandable structure is at the selected location.
Endovascular balloon catheter
A balloon catheter is disclosed for endovascular procedures. In one embodiment, among others, the balloon catheter includes an elongated catheter body. At a distal end, the catheter body also includes an angled tip and a balloon adjacent to the angled tip. The balloon is inflatable to form an oblong shape.
