MANUALLY ROTATABLE THROMBUS ENGAGEMENT TOOL
A thrombus engagement tool having a flexible shaft, a clot engagement tip, and a handle. The engagement tip may include one or more radially outwardly extending structures such as a helical thread. The helical thread can be advanced through a catheter to engage a clot. The handle may be configured to be rotated by hand. When the handle is rotated, the helical thread of the engagement tip can rotate in the same direction thereby allowing the helical threat to engage the clot. The helical thread can wrap around the flexible shaft at least about one, two, or four or more full revolutions, but in some cases no more than about ten or no more than about six revolutions.
STERILE FIELD CLOT CAPTURE MODULE FOR USE IN THROMBECTOMY SYSTEM
A clot capture module can include a housing, a chamber inside the housing, a window, and a filter. The window permits visual inspection of a clot inside the chamber. The clot can access the chamber via an incoming flow path configured to direct blood from an aspiration catheter to an upstream surface of the filter. An aspiration control valve can block the flow of incoming aspirated blood until actuated to permit inflow of aspirated blood. An outgoing flow path can direct blood from a downstream surface of the filter to a remote vacuum canister.
Obstruction removal system
An obstruction removal device is described, having one or more engaging members which can engage portions of the clot. The one or more engaging members have a collapsed, delivery state, and an expanded, deployed state.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TREATMENT OF ACUTE ISCHEMIC STROKE
A system of devices for treating an artery includes an arterial access sheath adapted to introduce an interventional catheter into an artery and an elongated dilator positionable within the internal lumen of the sheath body. The system also includes a catheter formed of an elongated catheter body sized and shaped to be introduced via a carotid artery access site into a common carotid artery through the internal lumen of the arterial access sheath. The catheter has an overall length and a distal most section length such that the distal most section can be positioned in an intracranial artery and at least a portion of the proximal most section is positioned in the common carotid artery during use.
ROTATABLE CONNECTION BETWEEN AN INTERVENTION MEMBER AND A MANIPULATION MEMBER OF AN ENDOVASCULAR DEVICE
A medical device, configured to perform an endovascular therapy, e.g., thrombectomy, can comprise an elongate manipulation member having a first connection member proximate a distal end of the elongate manipulation member, and an intervention member having a second connection member proximate a proximal end of the intervention member. The second connection member can be connected to the first connection member such that the first connection member can rotate relative to the second connection member.
ACTUATOR DEVICES AND SYSTEMS
Aspects of a device are described. One aspect is a device comprising: a housing having a first portion engageable with a scope, and a second portion engageable with a handle of a retrieval device; a platform that is movable relative to the housing, and engageable with a slider of the retrieval device; and a link assembly that is coupled the housing and the platform, and operable to move the platform and slider relative to the housing and handle. Aspects of related devices and systems also are described.
Obstruction removal system
An obstruction removal device is described, having one or more engaging members which can engage portions of the clot. The one or more engaging members have a collapsed, delivery state, and an expanded, deployed state which in some embodiments can be locked to maintain its fixed configuration.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO RESTORE PERFUSION TO A VESSEL
Methods and systems for using a clot retrieval device for treating a clot in a blood vessel for use in the treatment of ischemic stroke to achieve a clinically effective revascularization or perfusion rate.
System, device and method for treatment of hemorrhoids
A device for treating hemorrhoids includes a housing sized and shaped for insertion to a target site within a rectum. The device also includes an inner member received within the housing such that the member may move longitudinally relative to the housing. In addition, the device includes a ligating mechanism at a distal end of the member which includes grasping arms movable between a receiving configuration in which distal ends of the arms are separated from one another and a grasping configuration in which the distal ends are drawn together to grasp tissue. The mechanism includes a ligating band received around the arms that is movable distally off of the arms to constrict around tissue grasped by the arms.
Catheter system for treating thromboembolic disease
A vacuum aspiration system may be used to treat thromboembolic disease, such as deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism. The system includes a housing, and a fluid flow path extending through the housing. A first catheter is in fluid communication with the flow path, and a connector is configured to place a source of aspiration in communication with the flow path. A clot container is carried by the housing. A hemostasis valve is provided in the housing, and configured to receive a second catheter and direct the second catheter through the first catheter.
