PERCUTANEOUS THROMBUS EXTRACTION DEVICE AND METHOD
20230181201 · 2023-06-15 ·

A percutaneous thrombus extraction device for removing a thrombus from within a blood vessel includes a flexible outer sheath defining a first passage between a proximal end and a distal end. An inner sheath is movably positionable within the first passage. The inner sheath defines a second passage between a proximal end and a distal end. The inner sheath is moveable in a radial direction between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration along a length of the inner sheath defined between the proximal end and the distal end. A catheter is movably positionable within the second passage, and has an expandable body at a distal end portion of the catheter. The expandable body is movable between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration.

A system of devices for treating an artery includes an arterial access sheath adapted to introduce an interventional catheter into an artery and an elongated dilator positionable within the internal lumen of the sheath body. The system also includes a catheter formed of an elongated catheter body sized and shaped to be introduced via a carotid artery access site into a common carotid artery through the internal lumen of the arterial access sheath. The catheter has an overall length and a distal most section length such that the distal most section can be positioned in an intracranial artery and at least a portion of the proximal most section is positioned in the common carotid artery during use.

INTRAVASCULAR GUIDEWIRE FILTER SYSTEM FOR PULMONARY EMBOLISM PROTECTION AND EMBOLISM REMOVAL OR MACERATION

An intravascular emboli capture and retrieval system for intravascular embolism protection and embolism removal or maceration. Guidewire mounted proximally and distally located multiple opening filters are deployed within the vasculature and used to part, divide and macerate embolic debris and to capture such embolic debris within the confines thereof. A deployable flexible preformed memory shaped capture sleeve is alternatively used to collapse one or more filters and embolic debris therein for subsequent proximal withdrawal from the vasculature.

Balloon encapsulation and isovolumetric suction thrombectomy catheter and methods thereof

The disclosure provides for an adjustable catheter system with isovolumetric suction and restoration of fluid for the removal of a thrombus and a method of use thereof. The catheter system includes an inner catheter and an outer sheath surrounding at least a portion of the inner catheter. The inner catheter may include at least three lumina extending from the proximal end to the distal end of the inner catheter, at least one infusion fenestration along the infusion segment, and a distal encapsulation balloon at the distal end. The outer sheath may include at least three lumina extending from the proximal end to the distal end of the outer sheath and a proximal encapsulation balloon at the distal end. The catheter system may further include an agitator for mechanical morcellation of the thrombus.

Intracorporeal expandable shock wave reflector

An intracorporeal pressure shock wave includes an expandable pressure shock wave reflector at the distal end of an intracorporeal catheter to direct shock waves from a shock wave generator within a human or animal blood vessel or body lumen.

Esophageal Probes and Methods

Methods for collapsing a tubular organ, such as the esophagus, involve inserting a device into the tubular organ, at least partially sealing off a section of the tubular organ, and drawing in the wall of the tubular organ by application of suction. The devices may be used to move the wall of the tubular organ away from an area undergoing treatment or therapy, such as to minimize damage to the tubular organ by application of radiofrequency energy or to limit temperature increase of the tubular organ.

METHODS AND MEDICAL ELONGATE BODIES

A method and a medical elongate body are configured to prevent stagnation or turbulence of blood flow in a recess of a rugged pattern formed in a blood vessel due to bulging of a blood vessel wall at a lesion part of the blood vessel. The method involves partitioning an inside of the blood vessel into upstream and downstream sides of the recess, and introducing gel into the recess to at least partially fill the recess. A blood vessel lumen forming method and medical elongate body to form such a lumen are other aspects of the disclosure and involve introducing gel into the recess to at least partially fill the recess with the gel, and drilling the gel to remove at least some of the gel to form a passage and secure blood flow in the blood vessel.

Steerable lesion excluding heart implants for congestive heart failure

Devices, systems, and methods for treating a heart of a patient may make use of one or more implant structures which limit a size of a chamber of the heart, such as by deploying a tensile member to bring a wall of the heart toward (optionally into contact with) a septum of the heart.

Catheter and a retrieval system using the catheter

A catheter for removable insertion into a body vasculature has at least one inflatable member. The catheter has at least in part an expandable body that forms an internal axially extending lumen in at least the expanded state of the body. The inflatable member is adjacent a distal axial end of the body and is configured to at least partially obstruct the lumen.
