A system of devices for treating an artery includes an arterial access sheath adapted to introduce an interventional catheter into an artery and an elongated dilator positionable within the internal lumen of the sheath body. The system also includes a catheter formed of an elongated catheter body sized and shaped to be introduced via a carotid artery access site into a common carotid artery through the internal lumen of the arterial access sheath. The catheter has an overall length and a distal most section length such that the distal most section can be positioned in an intracranial artery and at least a portion of the proximal most section is positioned in the common carotid artery during use.

IMPLANTATION CATHETER AND IMPLANTATION CATHETER ARRANGEMENT FOR HANDLING AN IMPLANT

An implantation catheter for implanting an implant into a human or animal body, comprises a first catheter shaft and a holding element being arranged at a distal end of the first catheter shaft, the holding element being configured for holding and releasing the implant. The holding element comprises a shape memory element.

Systems and methods can remove material of interest, including blood clots, from a body region, including but not limited to the circulatory system for the treatment of pulmonary embolism (PE), deep vein thrombosis (DVT), cerebrovascular embolism, and other vascular occlusions.

Device for retrieving a body from a tubular structure

Some embodiments relate to a device for retrieving a body from within a tubular structure, the device having a proximal end and a distal end and comprising: a device body at the proximal end; a conduit extending away from the device body to the distal end and sized to be receivable in the tubular structure; at least one actuator operably associated with the device body; a first strand extending at least in part through the conduit; a second strand extending at least in part through the conduit; wherein the first and second strands are affixed at the distal end of the device, and wherein the second strand is wound around the first strand along at least a distal length of the first strand; wherein the at least one actuator is operable to cause the second strand to adopt an expanded state in which the second strand defines a trawl volume to catch the body for retrieval of the body from the tubular structure.

A system for accessing a central pulmonary artery includes an elongate, flexible tubular catheter, having a proximal end, a distal end and a catheter hub on the proximal end. An elongate, flexible rail has a proximal end, a distal end and a rail hub on the proximal end. The rail has a distal advance segment which extends at least about 10 cm beyond the distal end of the catheter when the catheter hub is adjacent the rail hub.

Anti-retropulsion systems and methods

An anti-retropulsion device comprising: an expandable segment; a distal collar positioned distally of the expandable segment; and a proximal collar positioned proximally of the expandable segment; wherein the expandable segment has a corresponding plurality of expandable members, and wherein each of the expandable members is configured to expand or contract radially and circumferentially in correspondence with a change in spacing between the distal collar and the proximal collar.

Clot engagement and removal system

A device including a clot engaging device having a collapsed delivery configuration and an expanded deployment configuration. The device can include a plurality of struts defining a plurality of cells; a seam extending along at least a portion of a length of a distal end of the clot engaging device, wherein the seam comprises a pattern configured for gripping a clot and extends between cells of the plurality of cells; and a distal scaffolding region being distally tapered, wherein the distal scaffolding region comprises cells smaller than cells of a remainder of the clot engaging device.

Retrieval device and related methods of use

A medical device and a method for manipulating a tissue. The medical device includes two or more bars, a snare loop and a constricting element. Each bar includes a proximal end, and one or more distal ends, such that the bars are in close proximity at the proximal end. The snare loop maybe coupled to the distal ends of the bars. The constricting element maybe movably coupled to the bars, such that the constricting element expands the snare loop when positioned at the proximal end of the plurality of bars while the constricting element collapses the snare loop when positioned at the distal end of the plurality of bars, thus, keeping the distal end of the snare loop stationary with respect to the tissue.

Endoscopic Stone-Extraction Device

An endoscopic stone-extraction device is provided comprising a support filament comprising an end portion, a sheath comprising a lumen, wherein the support filament is disposed in the lumen such that the sheath is slideable with respect to the support filament, and a handle comprising an actuator. Movement of the actuator in a first direction retracts the sheath and causes a shape to expand outside the lumen. Movement of the actuator in a second direction advances the sheath and causes the shape to at least partially collapse inside the lumen. Other embodiments are provided, and any of these embodiments can be used alone or in combination.
