Articulating microsurgical instrument
An apparatus and method for an articulating microsurgical instrument is disclosed herein. The articulating microsurgical instrument may be configured to be operable with a Doppler probe, bone grasper, soft tissue grasper/dissector, scissors, flexible forceps, or a suction/irrigation line configured to provide tools within a surgical location that can be adjusted to a desired angle of operation. A tip assembly may comprise an articulating portion at a distal tip and the articulating portion may be configured to deflect upon actuation of an articulation control. The articulation control may be a trigger assembly or a roller wheel. A bayonet-style handle may include a set of posts configured to interact with the one or more control wires during actuation of the articulation control. One or more control wires may be housed in a lumen and actuated using a articulation control of a handle assembly.
ENDOSCOPIC CUTTING FORCEPS WITH JAW CLAMP LEVER LATCHING MECHANISM
A lever latching system comprising: a housing; a lever having a latch pin fixedly mounted to the lever, the lever being movably mounted to the housing so that the latch pin moves in an arc; and a latch plate movably mounted to the housing for linear movement with respect to the housing, the latch plate comprising a labyrinth for receiving the latch pin.
LOCKING APPARATUS
Provided is a locking apparatus, and more particularly, to a locking apparatus with improved locking performance as a locking unit is stuck between different members capable of moving relative to each other and in which locking is released as an unlocking unit pushes the locking unit.
SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS HAVING A ROTATABLE BLADE MEMBER FOR TREATING TISSUE
A surgical instrument for treating tissue includes an articulating elongated shaft (14), a drive shaft (28) extending through the elongated shaft and configured to rotate about a longitudinal axis defined by the drive shaft, and an end effector assembly (100) coupled to a distal end portion of the elongated shaft. The end effector assembly includes a jaw member (110) and a blade member (112) configured to rotate in response to a rotation of the drive shaft to treat tissue disposed between the jaw member and the blade member.
STAPLER APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR USE
Apparatus and methods are provided for performing a medical procedure using a stapler apparatus including a reusable handle portion including a shaft include proximal and distal ends, a disposable end effector attached to the distal end of the shaft of the reusable handle carrying one or more staples. For example, the end effector may include first and second jaws movable relative to one another between open and closed positions, the first jaw carrying a cartridge which includes the one or more staples. A Doppler sensor, cutting element, thermal element, and/or grasper may be provided on the end effector. The end effector is introduced into a patient's body, tissue is positioned/locked between the jaws, and a plurality of staples are deployed into the tissue. The Doppler sensor is used to confirm that blood flow has discontinued in the stapled tissue, and the cutting element is actuated to sever the stapled tissue.
TREATMENT INSTRUMENT
Treatment instrument includes a housing having a fixed handle to be grasped by a user, an end effector for grasping biological tissue by opening and closing, a movable handle which is rotatable with respect to the housing and moves in a direction toward or away from the fixed handle by rotating with respect to the housing, an opening and closing mechanism for opening and closing the end effector according to the rotation of the movable handle, a first fulcrum serving as a first rotation shaft for rotating the movable handle, a first slot through which the first fulcrum is inserted, a second fulcrum provided at a position different from the first fulcrum and serving as a second rotation shaft for rotating the movable handle, and a second slot through which the second fulcrum is inserted.
Endoscope adaptor, surgical system including the same, and method of attaching endoscope to robot arm through the same
An endoscope adaptor to be connected to a robot arm of a robotic surgical system through a drape adaptor according to an embodiment may include a base section, a holding section, a driven member, and a transmission mechanism. The base is to be detachably connected to the drape adaptor. The driven member is rotatably provided on the base section and configured to be rotated by a rotation drive section of the robot arm through the drape adaptor. The holding section holds an endoscope rotatably about a rotation axis, the endoscope including an insertion section including an image capturing section provided at a distal end of the insertion section and a body section connected to the insertion section, wherein the rotation axis extends in a direction in which the insertion section extends. The transmission mechanism is configured to transmit rotation of the driven member to the holding section holding the endoscope.
Endoscopic surgical clip applier
An endoscopic surgical clip applier includes an endoscopic assembly and a handle assembly. The handle assembly includes a housing, a trigger, a drive bar, and a ratchet assembly. The ratchet assembly includes a first rack, a second rack, a pawl housing engageable with the first rack, and a second pawl engageable with the second rack. In a first position, the pawl housing is in registration with the first rack to prohibit reversal of a direction of movement of the trigger until the pawl housing is disposed beyond a proximal end or a distal end of the first rack. In a second position, the pawl housing is out of registration with the first rack to permit reversal of the movement of the trigger after the second pawl is disposed distally beyond a distal end of the second rack or proximally beyond a proximal end of the second rack.
Cervical tenaculum device
A surgical device comprising a shaft comprised of a first end and a second end; a clamp configured to be locked or unlocked attached to the first end of the shaft; an actuator shaft that is removably coupled to the shaft and configured to open and close the clamp; and optionally an anchor.
ARTICULATED ENDOSCOPIC INSTRUMENT
An endoscopic instrument containing a retractable tool at its end that is articulated by engaging an actuator that moves pull wires to angularly move the tip of the instrument along a plane for conducting a procedure at a target site. The tool of instrument is linearly move from an extension position to a retracted position by another actuator. The instrument provide rotational control of the tool and instrument tip portion with a rotational actuator for rotating housings that carry both pull wires and a conducting wire connected to the tool.
