Paranasal ostium finder devices and methods

Devices and methods for locating sinus ostia and positioning a guide wire within the sinus ostia. The subject devices comprise a shaft having a distal end, a proximal end, a curved region located between the distal and proximal ends, and an interior channel, an extensible and retractable guide wire movably mounted within the interior channel and a probe tip joined to the guide wire. Certain devices further include expandable portions for engaging and treating body anatomy.

TRAY FOR A SOFT TISSUE CUTTING DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE

A tray for a soft tissue cutting device includes a housing slot for removably housing the soft tissue cutting device prior to use and a priming slot for receiving the soft tissue cutting device during a priming procedure. The priming slot allows connection of the soft tissue cutting device to a priming syringe for priming the soft tissue cutting device. The tray also includes a safety slot for testing whether the soft tissue cutting device is primed for use and a sterile cover connectable to the tray. The sterile cover substantially encloses the tray when it is connected thereto.

Example devices and techniques are described herein for creating a multicuspid, multi-leaf interatrial shunt in the heart of a patient. An example device includes an elongate tool body and an inflatable balloon. The elongate tool body includes at least one lumen and a distal portion. The inflatable balloon is on the distal portion, and is configured to be inflated via the lumen. The inflatable balloon includes a distal outer surface configured for contacting an interatrial septum of a heart of a patient, and an ablation region of the distal outer surface of the inflatable balloon configured for ablating the interatrial septum when the inflatable balloon receives the ablation energy. The ablation region is disposed on the distal outer surface of the inflatable balloon in a manner that the ablation region creates a multicuspid ablation pattern when the inflatable balloon receives the ablation energy.

SOFT TISSUE CUTTING DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS

Device, systems, and method for cutting body tissue may include a handle, a blade, a shaft, and an expander. The handle may include a slider and a lever in communication with the slider. The blade may be coupled with the slider. The shaft may extend distally from the handle and the shaft may define a guideway along which the blade is configured to travel. The expander may be in communication with the lever and extend along the shaft. Actuation of the lever may adjust the expander to an expanded position and unlock the slider to allow actuation of the slider and longitudinal movement of the blade along the guideway.
