Graft preparation and delivery instruments and method

Embodiments of the invention include instruments (100, 200, 400, 1100, 1400, 2100, 2400, 3400) and methods useful in delivering graft material (1) to a surgical site. Some embodiments may particularly be directed to forming a graft (1) and accurately and effectively handling and delivering the graft (1) to a surgical site arthroscopically. Graft material (1) may include blood components such as clotted fibrin derived from a patient's or a donor's blood.

Full core biopsy device

A full core biopsy device includes a needle assembly having stylet, spoon, and at least one coring cannula. A window is located in at least one of the spoon and coring cannula. A excising finger is configured to prolapse through the window into a lumen of the inner spoon or cannula to sever a tissue sample upon translation or axial advancement of the excising finger.

TISSUE-REMOVING CATHETER WITH GUIDEWIRE ISOLATION LINER

The present disclosure provides a tissue-removing catheter that includes an elongate body, a tissue-removing element, and an inner liner. The elongate body has proximal and distal end portions spaced apart from one another along an axis and is sized and shaped to be received in a body lumen. The tissue-removing element rotates by the elongate body to remove tissue. The inner liner is received within the elongate body, defines a guidewire lumen, and isolates an interior of the guidewire lumen from the elongate body and tissue-removing element, preventing torsional force from transferring from the elongate body and tissue-removing element to the interior of the guidewire lumen. The inner liner includes a distal end margin that may have a construction different from a construction of a second portion of the inner liner proximal of the distal end margin. The distal end margin may be more flexible than the second portion.

Methods and devices for preparing and implanting tissue scaffolds

Methods and devices are provided for preparing and implanting tissue scaffolds. Various embodiments of scribing tools are provided that are configured to mark one or more predetermined shapes around a defect site in tissue. The shape or shapes marked in tissue can be used to cut a tissue scaffold having a shape that matches the shape or shapes marked in tissue. In one embodiment, the scribing tool used to mark a shape in tissue can also be used to cut the tissue scaffold.

Apparatus and methods to create and maintain an intra-atrial pressure relief opening

The present disclosure relates to a method and a device for treating heart failure by normalizing elevated blood pressure in the left and right atria of a heart of a mammal. The present disclosure includes methods for creating and maintaining an opening in the atrial septum. Tools for making an opening and enlarging the opening are also disclosed. Use of the techniques and tools described herein prolongs the patency of an intra-atrial pressure relief opening.

A steerable transseptal punch system and method of using the steerable transseptal punch system to access the left atrium.

Methods And Apparatus For Heart Valve Leaflet Modification

Systems, devices and methods for percutaneously modifying leaflets within the heart, thereby facilitating further repair or replacement. In some embodiments, the leaflets are cut. In other embodiments, the leaflets are removed either in part or in whole. The modifications to the leaflets may be made in conjunction with a prosthetic valve or independently.

PUNCH BIOPSY APPARATUS AND ASSOCIATED METHOD(S)

A punch biopsy apparatus to quickly and simply excise a sample of a chosen size and depth while preserving specimen morphology along with an independently operated mechanism to close the excision site. This design includes a body with a cylindrical needle to create a circular incision around the tissue, an independently rotated blade located within the cylindrical needle for excision at the base of the tissue, a plunger to allow release of the specimen, and a compartment for expulsion of skin glue, or another substance, configured to succinctly close the incision site to close the wound. This configuration allows punch biopsies to be performed efficiently with reduced technical skill, number of surgical instruments, and time required for the procedure.

Steerable endoluminal punch

A steerable transseptal punch system and method of using the steerable transseptal punch system to access the left atrium.

A platform device for material excision or removal from vascular structures for either handheld or stereotactic table use may comprise a work element or elements configured to selectively open and close at least one articulable beak or scoopula configured to penetrate and remove intra-vascular materials or obstructions, or follow a central lumen of another device or over a wire in a longitudinal direction. Flush and vacuum tissue transport mechanisms may be incorporated. A single tube or an inner sheath and an outer sheath which may be co-axially disposed relative to a work element may be configured to actuate a beak or beaks or scoopulas and provisions for simultaneous beak or scoopula closing under rotation may be incorporated.
