SURGICAL DEVICES FOR SOFT TISSUE AUGMENTATION
20240366259 · 2024-11-07 ·

The disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for making attachments to soft tissue. The soft tissue attachment system uses tools that have elongated shafts useful in arthroscopic or keyhole surgeries. In the soft tissue system, a tool is taken to the site once and used to both make the hole into the tissue and simultaneously carry the anchor into the hole that is being made.

Skin Tag Removal Assembly

A skin tag removal assembly for non surgical remove of skin tags includes a pair of straws. A string is extended through each of the straws. The string is tied into a loop and the loop is selectively positioned around a skin tag. The loop is selectively tightened to restrict blood circulation to the skin tag. Thus, the skin tag is non-surgically removed.

An implant for creating incisions in the tissues surrounding the bladder neck and the urethra of a patient, for relaxing the opening of the bladder, the implant includes a central connector and at least one wire, the wires extend radially outwardly from the center of the central connector, the wires apply continuous pressure on the surrounding tissues, the wires are foldable within an implant sheath for enabling delivery and extraction thereof, the implant is implanted within a restricted location of the urethra for a period of time for creating incisions at the locations where the wires apply pressure on the surrounding tissues.

Method for shearing tissue

A method is described for shearing a tissue wall between a first cavity and an adjacent second cavity in a human or animal body. The tissue wall has a periphery forming an edge of an opening between the first cavity and the second cavity. A first member is placed into the first cavity, such that the first member is adjacent the wall. A second member is placed in the second cavity, proximate the first member. The first and second members have materials which magnetically attract one another. The first member and the second member are placed such that there is magnetic attraction between the first member and the second member through the wall and thereby compress an overlapping portion of the wall to create pressure necrosis. The first member and the second member are connected by a thread, wherein the thread extends over the edge of the opening.

DOTTERING TOOLS FOR IMPLANTING MEDICAL DEVICES

Insertion tools for medical applications. An illustrative example is an insertion tool for implanting a lead such as a subcutaneous defibrillation lead, which includes a handle at a proximal end, a catheter, and a distal end. A plurality of stylets having dottering tips are provided in the insertion tool. Reciprocating action of the dottering tips and/or stylets is imparted to dissect through subcutaneous tissue and create a tunnel for implantation of the lead.

SURGICAL INSTRUMENT FOR MAKING INCISIONS

To provide a surgical instrument for performing incision that enables surgery to be performed safely and easily, with minimal invasiveness and a reduced risk of damaging a tissue, such as a tendon, nerve, or blood vessel.

The surgical instrument for performing incision includes incision reception means that receives an incision portion of a tendon sheath and an aponeurotic membrane, guide fixture means that fixes the incision reception means outside a body, and incision means that performs incision under guidance of the guide fixture means, the instrument being configured to incise a tendon sheath and an aponeurotic membrane by pressing and moving the incision means against the incision reception means. This surgical instrument for performing incision enables a tendon sheath and an aponeurotic membrane to be incised safely without significantly incising the skin or subcutaneous tissue, and makes it possible to conduct surgery percutaneously at an extremely low level of invasion.

A method for expanding a constricted location of a urethra of a subject, the method including inserting a urethral implant, and an implant sheath that covers the urethral implant, through the urethra for implanting the urethral implant in the constricted location, the urethral implant being in a compressed configuration within the implant sheath, releasing the urethral implant from the implant sheath until the urethral implant exits from the implant sheath, thereby expanding the urethral implant from the compressed configuration to an expanded configuration, applying, by the urethral implant, continuous pressure on tissues of the urethra at the constricted location, and retracting the implant sheath from the urethra.

An implant for the prostatic urethra of a subject, the implant including a first frame being closed-shaped, the first frame includes two longitudinal sections; a second frame being closed-shaped, the second frame includes two longitudinal sections, wherein a mid-portion of one of the longitudinal sections of the first frame is connected in at least one of: directly and indirectly, to a mid-portion of one of the longitudinal sections of the second frame; and a third frame being distinct from the first frame and the second frame, the third frame includes a first arm section joined to the first frame, and a second arm section joined to the second frame, the first arm section and the second arm section extend such to be joined together in an apex portion.

Temporary vascular scaffold and scoring device

Devices and methods for treating a target site in a body lumen are provided. A medical device includes a stent-like structure including a plurality of scoring and non-scoring filaments interwoven with one another. Generally, the stent-like structure will have more non-scoring filaments than scoring filaments to provide greater structural support and to focus the scoring forces on only a few select areas. The stent-like structure is expanded within the target site to score the target site and to provide temporary structural support while the target site is infused with a therapeutic agent. Such therapeutic agent infusion occurs with the use of a drug eluting or drug coated balloon disposed within the stent-like structure or by occluding the target site and introducing a drug into the occluded target site to sit for a period of time.
