SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING MULTIPLE TOUCH INPUTS FOR CONTROLLER INTERACTION IN INDUSTRIAL CONTROL SYSTEMS

Exemplified methods and systems provide a graphical HMI having an interface that mitigate or prevent touch errors and/or inadvertent touches through the use of multiple touch inputs, at a graphical user interface, of a touch-screen input device, to trigger an associated user interface command. In some embodiments, the multiple touch inputs comprise an input at two locations, one in relative association, with a displayed interface command, to trigger the command.

USER-DEFINED STIMULATION PATTERNS FOR JUVENILE PRODUCTS

Systems and methods define a stimulation pattern for a juvenile product utilizing a mobile device that executes a mobile application that is linked to the juvenile product. The method comprises the step of recognizing, by the mobile device when executing the mobile app, the user-defined stimulation pattern for the juvenile product. The stimulation pattern can be a vibration pattern or a motion pattern, and can be detected in a number of different ways by the mobile device. The method further comprises the step of determining control signals for the actuator(s) of the juvenile product based on the user-defined stimulation pattern that is recognized by the mobile device. The method further comprises the step of, in response to receiving a command to execute the user-defined stimulation pattern, controlling the actuator(s) of the juvenile product based on the stored control signals for the user-defined stimulation pattern.

ROBOT INSTRUCTING APPARATUS, TEACHING PENDANT, AND METHOD OF INSTRUCTING A ROBOT
20220176567 · 2022-06-09 · ·

A robot instructing apparatus for a robot having an end effector includes a teaching pendant, and orientation device, and at least one processor. The orientation device is configured to output an orientation of the teaching pendant based on an angular position of the teaching pendant about a vertical axis. The at least one processor is configured to generate movement instructions to move the robot during one or more teaching operations. The at least one processor is configured to generate the movement instructions in a translation teaching mode in which a translational change of the end effector, in response to the movement instructions, corresponds to an input direction input to the teaching pendant by a user relative to the orientation of the teaching pendant.

There is provided a processing apparatus including a holding table having a holding surface for holding thereon a workpiece with a plurality of devices formed in respective areas demarcated on a face side of the workpiece by a plurality of projected dicing lines, a processing unit that processes the workpiece held on the holding table, an image capturing unit that captures an image of the workpiece held on the holding table, a moving unit that moves the holding table relatively to the processing unit and the image capturing unit in horizontal directions along the holding surface, a touch panel that displays thereon the image captured by the image capturing unit, and a control unit. The control unit detects a line in an image positioned within an allowable region based on a contact line traced on the image displayed on the touch panel and registers the detected line.

Converting drawn paths into an embroidery machine file

Embodiments herein describe mapping user drawn lines into an embroidery machine file. For example, a user can use a stylus or her finger to draw an embroidery design on a touch screen of a user device (e.g., a smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc.). An embroidery application executing on the user device can convert the user movements into needle point paths. The application can then convert the needle point paths into the embroidery machine file.

Apparatus and method for controlling injection molding

An apparatus and method for establishing triggers for the opening of one or multiple gates to a mold cavity of an injection molding system, followed by a sequence of predetermined valve pin movements over the course on an injection cycle. In one embodiment, the invention provides a graphical user interface and control system enabling a user to select from and arrange a plurality of virtual icons into a user-defined virtual sequence that define associated triggering events and actuator controlled pin movements over the course of an injection cycle. In various embodiments, the apparatus and method allows the system operator to view a simulated profile of such triggers and movements and to compare the simulated profile to an actual profile to access differences and make adjustments to the triggers and sequencing more quickly and efficiently. This is particularly useful in sequential molding systems where multiple gates need to be programmed and adjusted to compensate for variations from a predetermined sequence.
