Support Garment for a Wearable Medical Device

A support garment for supporting a patient wearable defibrillator is made from a fabric having an outside surface and an inside surface and is configured to be worn about a chest of a patient. The support garment includes a back portion and a front portion connected to the back portion. The back portion and the front portion are configured to support a plurality of sensing electrodes and at least one therapeutic defibrillator electrode on the inside surface thereof. The front portion of the support garment further includes at least one bra portion. The at least one bra portion is configured to support front upper torsal female anatomy.

FUNCTIONAL BRASSIERE

A functional garment that includes a first single breast supporting device is set forth herein. In some cases, the supporting device includes a first breast cup, a first shoulder strap, and a first breast cup connector that includes a first material that extends along a lateral portion of the first breast cup, wherein the first breast cup connector connects, and is at least partially disposed between, part of the first breast cup and a portion of the first shoulder strap. In some cases, the supporting device further includes a first cross strap that is configured to extend around a first portion of a user's torso, the first cross strap being configured to attach to a first portion of the first breast cup and to at least one of the first breast cup connector and the first shoulder loop. Embodiments of the disclosed technology relate to wire-free push-up brassieres having the versatility to provide enhanced lift, support, and comfort across a range of breast sizes. A wire-free push-up brassiere disclosed herein includes a hinge that extends along a bottom edge of the padded portions of cups of the brassiere. The hinge may be a stabilizing channel formed between the bottom edge of the padded cup portions and a top edge of the cradle. The hinge may be formed of a stabilizing material that provides the hinge with both rigidity and flexibility. In particular, the stabilizing material may impart a rigidity to the hinge that reinforces the breast support provided by the cups, thereby enhancing the push-up characteristics of the brassiere. At the same time, the stabilizing material may have enough flexibility to allow the hinge to accommodate a range of breast sizes.

In one embodiment, a garment having a cup portion with two cups, a body portion integrated with the cup portion, and a band are disposed on the garment such that is extends beneath the cup portions. The band is either on the body portion or adjacent the body portion. The garment also has support structures with a configuration, each following proximately a contour of the lower part of its respective cup, wherein a portion of the support structure is formed on and fixed to the band and a portion of the support structure extends on the body of the garment and is attached thereto. As such the support structure configuration is approximately arcuate. The garment also has additional control regions. The control is provided by fabric or materials that have less stretch than the body fabric from which the body of the garment is made.

The rigid arcuate element may be disposed under the cup so as to be adjustable relative to the cup, wherein the lateral end of the rigid arcuate element is adjustable so as to alter the tension applied to the body by the central end.

The non-conductive support wire is capable of shielding the body of the wearer from potentially harmful electromagnetic fields. A method of manufacturing a support garment is also described, which includes adding the non-conductive support wire to the support garment.

An adjustable support brassiere comprises traditional bra elementsa bra band with closure; breast cups; and respective shoulder straps. Adjustability may comprise inner support cups having opposite ends being selectively attached on each breast cup, and a respective support strap being secured to each inner support cup, with a distal end of the support strap secured to an adjustment clip, which may releasably secure a portion of the shoulder strap. Adjustably securing different portions of the shoulder strap causes lifting and reconfiguring of the inner support cup to produce a desired amount of substantially vertical lifting to the woman's breast(s) in one embodiment, which is generally healthier for breast tissue than the typical inward displacement. Adjustments may be made by a woman throughout the day to alter her appearance as desired. Alternative embodiments permit lifting as well as inward/outward displacement, and may therefore serve as a minimizer.
