APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR PATIENT-SPECIFIC METHODS AND INSTRUMENTATION
An apparatus, system, and method is disclosed for correcting a condition present in a patient. In some implementations, the apparatus may include a proximal end. In addition, the apparatus may include a distal end. The apparatus may include a body having a superior side, an inferior side, a medial side, a lateral side, a proximal side, and a distal side. Moreover, the apparatus may include a marker configured to identify a location for a reference feature that corresponds to a model reference for a bone of the patient's foot. Also, the apparatus may include a bone engagement surface configured to register to an anatomical structure of the bone, the bone engagement surface defined based on medical imaging taken of the bone.
Bone align and joint preparation device and method
A bone displacement system includes an anchoring portion, a tool engaging portion, a compression distraction mechanism, a lateral body and a distal body. The anchoring portion has an aperture for receiving a wire to connect the anchoring portion to a proximal bone. The anchoring portion is connectable to a downwardly depending member for holding a tissue portion. The tool engaging portion is connected to the anchoring portion and is configured to connect a tool thereto. The compression-distraction mechanism is connected to the anchoring portion. The lateral body is connected to the compression-distraction mechanism and engageable with a lateral bone. The distal body is connected to the compression-distraction mechanism. The distal body has an aperture for receiving a wire to connect the distal body to a distal bone. The compression-distraction mechanism is configured to move the anchoring portion relative to the distal body.
PERCUTANEOUS TARGETING DEVICE
A percutaneous targeting device comprises a body holding an extension. The body has a target guide holding a target pin which may be a K-wire. The extension has two guide sleeves, holding a guide wire. All wires are held in a common plane. The guide wires serve as a guide for cannulated fixation screws. The extension is movable against the body to adjust the angle between the target pin and the guide wires.
TARSAL-METATARSAL JOINT PROCEDURE UTILIZING FULCRUM
A technique for correcting a bone deformity, such as a bunion, may be performed using an instrument. The technique may include preparing an end of a first metatarsal and preparing an end of a medial cuneiform opposing the end of the first metatarsal. The technique may also include moving the first metatarsal relative to the medial cuneiform. The technique can involve inserting the instrument between a first metatarsal and a second metatarsal.
Method for improved spinal correction surgery implementing non-fusion anterior scoliosis correction techniques with vertebrae de-rotation
Spinal correction surgical techniques and methodologies for correction of scoliosis using non fusion anterior scoliosis correction, including soft tissue releases, unique correction techniques such as de-rotation, and unique single and dual anchor screw/cord applications.
Lapidus Screw Guide Assembly and Method of Insertion
A screw guide assembly includes a guide body extending along a central longitudinal axis. The guide body has a proximal end portion having an attachment face extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and a distal end portion having a screw support member extending away from the longitudinal axis. The screw support member is configured to allow for the insertion of a screw at an angle oblique relative to the longitudinal axis. A wire guide is removably inserted into the screw support member. A method of inserting a screw using the assembly is also disclosed.
DEVICES AND TECHNIQUES FOR PERFORMING AN OSTEOTOMY PROCEDURE ON A FIRST METATARSAL TO CORRECT A BONE MISALIGNMENT
Devices and techniques for adjusting an alignment for a first metatarsal may include making a plurality of cuts along the length of the first metatarsal. In different applications of the technique, a plurality of transverse cuts may or may not be made intersecting the longitudinal cuts. In either case, the cuts can separate the first metatarsal into two individual portions and release a removable wedge of bone. The different portions of the metatarsal can be moved relative to each other to adjust an anatomical alignment of one portion relative to another portion, for example in multiple planes. After suitably adjusting the alignment of the different bone portions, the portions can be fixed together.
INTRAMEDULLARY IMPLANT FOR TRANSVERSE OSTEOTOMY
An implant, of intramedullary implant type, suited for securing a first bone fragment to a second bone fragment following transverse osteotomy, includes: a plate having a planar lateral face shaped to be secured to the second bone fragment, a shank shaped to be inserted into a medullary canal of the first bone fragment, and an intermediate portion, connecting the plate to the shank, the implant being characterized in that the shank is a solid of revolution centred on a longitudinal axis, the longitudinal axis being parallel to the lateral face of the plate.
Screw targeting guide system and method
A targeting guide includes a body defining a first guide hole sized and configured to receive a guide sleeve therethrough. The first guide hole extends through the body on a first axis. An alignment arm extends between a first end and a second end. The first end is coupled to the body. A tip extends from the second end of the alignment arm. A free end of the tip is aligned with the first axis of the first guide hole.
MODULAR DIGIT FIXATION DEVICE AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Disclosed herein are various embodiments of a modular digit fixation system that has two or more attachable and adjustable modules. The modules are attachable to separate adjacent digits and each other and have multiplanar adjustability. Two modules are disclosed: an elongate module and a cylindrical module having a body and a slidable clamp. Further, the embodiments also include various related components, devices, methods, and technologies.
