A lower torso garment, such as a brief, includes a body having a pair of leg openings, a crotch portion between the leg openings, and a waist opening, and a waist band connected to the body and positioned at the waist opening. The waist band includes a folded fabric portion forming an inner layer and an outer layer surrounding an elastomeric band. The elastomeric band includes a thermoplastic elastomer film including a styrenic block copolymer, and is positioned between the inner and outer layers.

An upper-torso garment includes a chest-covering portion having a knit textile region, which includes a plurality of courses fully spanning a dome-shaped portion. In addition, the knit textile region includes a plurality of partial-length courses partially spanning the dome-shaped portion.

A fabric of a cup body of a brassiere includes an inner textile layer, an outer textile layer and a middle textile layer. A first weaving region and a second weaving region of the outer textile layer respectively include a plurality of composite yarns. Each of the composite yarns includes a first yarn and a second yarn. A melting point of the first yarn is lower than a melting point of the second yarn, and an offset rate of the second yarn relative to the first yarn is from 5% to 300%. A content of the composite yarns in the first weaving region is greater than that in the second weaving region. A content of the composite yarns in a third weaving region of the outer textile layer is less than that in the second weaving region. The first weaving region is at a lifting area of the cup body.

Aspects herein are directed to a support garment that includes a number of features configured to provide a high level of support to a wearer's breasts while being comfortable to wear. The support garment includes a Y-shaped layer affixed to an inner surface of a front portion of the support garment that helps to limit upward movement of a wearer's breasts. The support garment also includes foam pads having a uniform thickness and a plurality of apertures located at side portions of the support garment and configured to limit lateral movement of the wearer's breasts. The support garment also includes an underband that is zoned to be breathable and permeable at a front center of the underband while still providing support to an under portion of the wearer's breasts.

A nursing and pumping garment includes a unitary exterior layer and a pumping layer seamlessly connected to the unitary exterior layer. The unitary exterior layer includes first and second breast covers, a central portion, and gathers between both the first breast cover and the central portion and the second breast cover and the central portion. The garment may be in one of: (1) a first state in which the unitary exterior layer is completely covering a central pumping edge and the garment is neither in a pumping or a breast feeding position; (2) a second state in which at least one aperture is formed to facilitate breast pumping; and (3) a third state in which the unitary exterior and pumping layers are both disconnected from a first bra strap or a second bra strap to facilitate breast feeding.

Aspects of a flat-knit support garment for an upper torso are provided. The flat-knit support garment may include a bra structure having a flat-knit bra material that includes a cup zone, a body zone, a wing zone, a strap zone, and a chestband zone. In some instances, a perimeter of the flat-knit bra comprising a neck opening and armhole openings includes a finished edge treatment corresponding to a high stretch modulus, covered yarn. Such finished edges are generated in seamless construction with the unitary, flat-knit structure of the flat-knit support garment for an upper torso. The flat-knit characteristics of the support garment for an upper torso may correspond to one or more of a flat-knit stitch sequence, a yarn type, and/or a finishing treatment.

An upper-torso garment includes a chest-covering portion having a knit textile region, which includes a plurality of courses fully spanning a dome-shaped portion. In addition, the knit textile region includes a plurality of partial-length courses partially spanning the dome-shaped portion.

A nursing garment that includes a back portion comprising a back layer; and a front portion coupled to the back portion. The front portion includes an external layer; a first middle layer that includes a leak-resistant fabric having at least one edge that is cut on the bias; a second middle layer that includes an absorbent material; and an innermost layer configured to be in contact with a nipple of a user, wherein the innermost layer includes a fabric configured to wick moisture away from the nipple of the user. The external layer, the first middle layer, the second middle layer and the innermost layer are coupled together such that the first middle layer extends between the external layer and the second middle layer, and the second middle layer extends between the first middle layer and the innermost layer.

The present invention teaches a multi-layered nursing garment. The multi-layered nursing garment includes breasts support having a pair of breast cups, shoulder straps and a chest band. Each breast cup is comprised of two or more layers. Further a clasp for attaching an outer removable layer with a shoulder strap and a clip is configured for attaching another, inner layer. The invention provides a number of combinations of clips, clasps, and layers but which a breastfeeding woman can selectively open the nursing garment to accomplish breastfeeding and/or milk pumping from either breast, and has the capacity to engage in said events simultaneously.

A supportive bra comprises two cups, each adapted to shape, lift, and support a breast, and a chest strap coupled to the two cup. Each cup has a plurality of darts sewn therein.
