CONTROL SYSTEM OF MACHINE TOOL
A control system of a machine tool includes an analysis device, the analysis device includes acquisition portions which acquire chronological control data when a work is machined and which acquire spatial machined surface measurement data after the machining of the work, a storage portion which stores the control data and the machined surface measurement data, a data-associating processing portion which associates the control data and the machined surface measurement data with each other in two machining directions, a machined surface failure detection portion which detects a failure on the machined surface of the work and a location thereof based on the machined surface measurement data in the two machining directions and an identification portion which identifies a drive axis that causes the failure from the detected failure and the machining direction of the control data corresponding to the detected failure location.
Quality control system and method
A system and method of operating an assembly line for performing an assembly operation on an article. The method includes the steps of detecting an absence or presence of an abnormality in the article and classifying the abnormality as one of a plurality of types including a first type of abnormality and a second type of abnormality. Additionally, the method includes the step of determining that the article is eligible for the assembly operation if at least the abnormality is detected as present and the abnormality is the first type of abnormality. Moreover, the method includes the step of determining that the article is eligible for the assembly operation if at least the abnormality is detected as present, the abnormality is the second type of abnormality, and an override command is received. Furthermore, the method includes the step of providing an electronic output if the article is eligibility for assembly.
Locating a workpiece using a measurement of a workpiece feature
A method of determining a pose of a workpiece includes receiving known positions of a plurality of reference features of a workpiece in a first pose in a first coordinate space, determining from the known positions an estimate of the first pose of the workpiece in a second coordinate space in which any pose of the workpiece is defined by six distinct components, and at least one of the six components are known. The method includes receiving a position of a second feature of the workpiece in the second coordinate space when the workpiece is disposed in a distinct, second pose in which the at least one known components remain constant between the first and second pose. The method includes determining the second pose of the workpiece from the first pose estimate and the position of the second feature of the workpiece in the second pose.
NUMERICAL CONTROL DEVICE AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
This numerical control device is provided with: a first acquisition unit that acquires start position information indicating the start position at which a contact body starts to measure an object to be measured in manual measurement; a second acquisition unit that acquires contact position information indicating the contact position at which the contact body and the object to be measured come into contact with each other; a determination unit that determines the direction in which the contact body approaches the object to be measured on the basis of the start position information acquired by the first acquisition unit and the contact position information acquired by the second acquisition unit; and a calculation unit that corrects the contact position information on the basis of the direction determined by the determination unit and thereby calculates the measurement position.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING A POSITION OF A POINT ON A SURFACE
A machining system includes a machine tool having a sensor, a cutting tool having a tool body arranged at the machine tool, and a control system arranged for controlling and monitoring the position of the tool body. A method for determining a position of a point on a machined surface of a workpiece includes machining the workpiece using the cutting tool and measuring the workpiece using a measurement tool including the tool body and a first tip. Measuring the workpiece includes moving the measurement tool towards the workpiece while measuring a parameter using the sensor, and determining, based on a position of the tool body monitored by the control system and on values of the parameter as measured by the sensor, a first position of the first tip when the tip touches the point on the machined surface, thereby indicating the position of the point on the machined surface.
