The flow rate control device of the present disclosure includes: a flow rate meter that measures a flow rate of a fluid flowing through a flow path; a flow rate regulating valve that regulates the flow rate of the fluid flowing through the flow path; and a control part that controls an opening degree of the flow rate regulating valve based on a measurement result of the flow rate meter, includes: a closing function that controls the opening degree of the flow rate regulating valve with an instantaneous flow rate value and closes with a set accumulated flow rate value; and an accumulated value prediction function that monitors the current opening degree of the flow rate regulating valve and the instantaneous flow rate value all the time, and starts a closing operation of the flow rate regulating valve at a time point when the accumulated flow rate value reaches an early closing flow rate value.
Electronic aerosol provision system with motion sensing
An aerosol delivery device including: control circuitry for controlling an operating mode of the device; a motion sensor arranged to detect motion of the device and to output corresponding motion detection signals to the control circuitry; and an airflow sensor arranged to detect a flow of air in the device and to output corresponding airflow detection signals to the control circuitry; wherein the control circuitry is configured to determine from the motion detection signals when there is a tapping event corresponding to the device being tapped by a user and to determine from the airflow detection signals when there is an airflow event, and wherein the control circuitry is configured to control the device to switch from a first operating mode to a second operating mode in response to the detection of a predefined sequence of events comprising at least one tapping event and at least one airflow event.
ACTIVE SHEET-EDGE AIRFLOW CONTROL FOR VACUUM CONVEYORS
A method of controlling airflow along sheet edges on a vacuum transport assembly including a platen including one or more holes arranged in rows in a cross process direction, and a belt displaceable with respect to the platen in a process direction, the method including enabling airflow through the one or more holes, receiving information related to one or more sheets of a print job, based on the information, disabling airflow through the one or more holes at an inboard edge of the one or more sheets, based on the information, disabling airflow through the one or more holes at a lead edge of the one or more sheets, and based on the information, disabling airflow through the one or more holes at a trail edge of the one or more sheets.
Bed microclimate control based on sampling
A bed system includes microclimate control capabilities for providing quality sleep experience. The bed system can include a microclimate control subsystem configured to supply conditioned air (e.g., heated or cooled air) to a mattress, or draw ambient air from the mattress, to achieve a desired temperature at the top of the mattress. Utilizing supply of conditioned air to provide air at desired temperature to the mattress system, or utilizing air suction to drain heat away from the mattress system, can provide precise microclimate control at the mattress, thereby permitting conformable sleep.
Method and system for diagnosing an engine coolant pump
Methods and systems to diagnose operation of an engine coolant pump are presented. In one example, the engine coolant pump is operated while an engine is stopped so that operation of the coolant pump may not effect engine operation. The engine coolant pump may be operated at different speeds to assess engine coolant pump operation.
Systems and Methods for Providing Network Connectivity and Remote Monitoring, Optimization, and Control of Pool/Spa Equipment
Systems and methods for providing network connectivity and remote monitoring, optimization, and control of pool/spa equipment are provided. “Internet-of-Things” (IoT) functionality is provided for pool and spa equipment in a flexible and cost-effective manner. Network connectivity and remote monitoring/control of pool and spa equipment is provided by various components such as a network communication and local control subsystem installed in pool/spa equipment, and other components. Also disclosed are various control processes (“pool logic”) which can be embodied as software code installed in any of the various embodiments of the present disclosure.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AN AUTOMATED ADJUSTMENT OF BRIX IN A LIQUID
The present disclosure relates to a system and to a method for calibrating Brix in a liquid, sap, syrup or taffy. The system comprises: a tank for receiving a volume of the liquid; a temperature reading apparatus for measuring a temperature of the liquid; a weighing apparatus for measuring a weight of the volume of liquid received in the tank; a volume measurement system for measuring the volume of the liquid received in the tank; an evaporator comprising a plurality of water injectors for spraying water, and a computer operatively connected to the apparatuses and using the data received from the same to calibrate the Brix in the liquid. The method comprises providing the Brix calibrating system; measuring the Brix, temperature, weight, volume, and determining the Brix measurement based on the data received and using the computer to adjust the Brix by actioning the evaporator or the water injectors.
BUILDING EQUIPMENT CONTROL SYSTEM WITH DYNAMIC FLOW BOUNDS
Systems and methods for dynamically updating flow bounds for one or more pumps are provided. An exemplary system includes one or more pumps, one or more processors, and one or more computer-readable media storing program instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations. The operations include updating bounds on flow provided by the one or more pumps based on one or more values of pump head, determining control decisions for the one or more pumps based on the bounds, and controlling the one or more pumps in accordance with the control decisions.
Control loop performance advisory tool
A method and system for compensating for stiction of a control valve in a pneumatically controlled valve system. A digital twin model of the pneumatically controlled valve system is generated. A current segment of data signals is received from a process measurement device connected to the pneumatically controlled valve system. Operation of the pneumatically controlled valve system is monitored by comparing the current segment to the digital twin model. Stiction is detected when the digital twin model directly detects stiction or when the nonlinearity and Gaussian index are above a certain threshold. A severity of the stiction is determined. Instructions for a stiction control device are used to generate control signals to be applied to the actuator to compensate for the severity of the stiction. Further, the digital twin model is displayed with a representation of the severity of the stiction.
