Brassiere

Provided is a brassiere allowing for selecting a plurality of types of pads. A brassiere (1) includes a first pocket (70) that holds a pad (90 to 95) inside a cup portion (2), and further includes a second pocket (80) inside the cup portion (2). The first pocket (70) includes a first pocket opening (72) through which the pad (90 to 95) is taken in and out, and a first opening portion (73) communicating with the first pocket opening (72). The first pocket opening (72) is covered with the second pocket (80). The second pocket (80) includes a second pocket opening (82) through which the pad (90 to 95) is taken in and out, and a second opening portion (83) communicating with the first pocket opening (72).

Movement-reactive athletic apparel and methods of making the same

Articles of athletic garments, particularly sports bra and methods of treating the athletic garments with a shear thickening fluid (STF) are disclosed. The athletic garment comprises a STF treated fabric. The STF treated fabric in contact with the wearer's body part restricts movement of the body part when the shear stress exceeds the shear stress threshold value and stretches and conforms to the wearer's body part when the shear stress is less than the shear stress threshold value. The STF treatment method may include immersing the untreated fabric in a diluted STF bath, metering an amount of the fluid on the fabric, and removing the diluent from the treated fabric.

FUNCTIONAL BRASSIERE

While the described functional brassiere can include any suitable component, in some cases, it includes a first breast cup that has a medial portion and a lateral portion, with the medial portion being configured to be disposed near a midline of a user's chest. The brassiere further includes a first breast cup connector that is made from an elastomeric material and that extends along the lateral portion of the first breast cup. The brassiere further includes a first shoulder strap that is coupled to the first breast cup connector. In some cases, a first end of the first shoulder strap is coupled to the first breast cup connector, the first shoulder strap includes an elongated portion that is configured to extend around a torso of the user, and a second end of the first shoulder strap couples to the medial portion of the first breast cup. Bra assembly

Bras and methods of forming bras suitable for nursing activities and closure assemblies that are convenient to manipulate. The bra assembly includes a pair of breast cups that are secured to a torso band. A first closure assembly is disposed between each breast cup and the torso band and extends in a lateral direction generally below a respective breast. A second closure assembly includes first and second portions that are each secured to a respective breast cup. The first and second portions of the second closure removably cooperate with one another such that each breast can be selectively exposed by lateral outward translation of the respective breast cup. Another aspect of the invention includes a closure assembly that reduces the number of clasp associations that must be manipulated to effectuate the opening/closing of the bra assembly.

Disclosed is a convertible brassiere system with interchangeable components comprising: a right bra cup, wherein the right bra cup comprises a plurality of right cup attachment points; a left bra cup, wherein the left bra cup comprises a plurality of left cup attachment points; a first strap; a left-right bra cup attachment means for attaching the right bra cup to the left bra cup; at least one first strap-right bra cup attachment means for attaching the first strap to the right bra cup; and, at least one first strap-left bra cup attachment means for attaching the first strap to the left bra cup. The system may further comprise: a second strap; at least one second strap-right bra cup attachment means for attaching the second strap to the right bra cup; and, at least one second strap-left bra cup attachment means for attaching the second strap to the left bra cup.

MOVEMENT-REACTIVE ATHLETIC APPAREL AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME

Articles of athletic garments, particularly sports bra and methods of treating the athletic garments with a shear thickening fluid (STF) are disclosed. In some cases, the supporting device includes a first breast cup, a first shoulder strap, and a first breast cup connector that includes a first material that extends along a lateral portion of the first breast cup, wherein the first breast cup connector connects, and is at least partially disposed between, part of the first breast cup and a portion of the first shoulder strap. In some cases, the supporting device further includes a first cross strap that is configured to extend around a first portion of a user's torso, the first cross strap being configured to attach to a first portion of the first breast cup and to at least one of the first breast cup connector and the first shoulder loop. A halter bra/camisole top support garment, comprising a lower skirt section, a sleeveless halter-top section attached to the lower skirt section, and a pair of behind-the-neck straps extending from the halter-top section, the straps being joined in a bow for positioning behind a wearer's neck. The camisole-style support garment gives ample support to the lower portion of the breast for enough support without cutting off circulation, no under wire, and with no strain on the shoulders or the breasts in any way.

A functional garment that includes a first single breast supporting device is set forth herein. In some cases, the supporting device includes a first breast cup, a first shoulder loop, and a first breast cup connector that includes a first piece of material extending along a lateral portion of the first breast cup, with the first breast cup connector connecting, and being at least partially disposed between, the first breast cup and the first shoulder loop. In some cases, the supporting device further includes a first cross strap that is configured to extend around a first portion of a user's torso, the first cross strap being configured to attach to a first portion of the first breast cup and to at least one of the first breast cup connector and the first shoulder loop.
