The disclosure relates to a tool part for a cutting tool having an identification marker arranged at the tool part, wherein the identification marker is a unique machine readable code associated with individual dimension information data. The individual dimension information data includes at least one individually measured dimension of the tool part as measured when manufacturing the tool part that will change while wearing the tool part. The disclosure further relates to a system, a method and computer program product for utilizing an identification marker on a tool part for a cutting tool, for determining a tool wear of the tool part.

A vision system may include a first camera and a second camera mounted for stereoscopic monitoring of a work environment, a support platform for support of a workpiece in the work environment, a first reference plate operably coupled to the support platform to provide a first frame of reference for three dimensional location of objects in the work environment, a power tool operable in the work environment under control of a tool controller, and a motion monitor operably coupled to the first and second cameras to determine location of the tool in the work environment based on a comparison of a reference point on the tool to a position of reference points on the reference plate. A perspective view of the support platform by the first and second cameras may be changeable, and the system may further include a second reference plate to define a second frame of reference for three dimensional location of objects responsive to the perspective view of the support platform being changed.

The rotary tool is configured to be capable of adjustment of the mass balance based on the result of the determination made by the balance determining device and capable also of adjustment of the runout amount based on the result of the determination made by the runout determining device.

The display unit is configured to display the digital image. The data processing unit is configured to determine the data associated with the process valve shut-off body. The data includes the digital image. The communication interface, in particular a mobile radio interface, is configured to send the data associated with the process valve shut-off body.
Method and apparatus for vision-based tool localization
A method for vision-based tool localization (VTL) in a robotic assembly system including one or more calibrated cameras, the method comprising capturing a plurality of images of the tool contact area from a plurality of different vantage points, determining an estimated position of the tool contact area based on an image, and refining the estimated position based on another image from another vantage point. The method further comprises providing the refined position to the robotic assembly system to enable accurate control of the tool by the robotic assembly system.
