Induction coil assembly for uterine ablation and method
A vapor delivery device includes an induction coil system. The induction coil system can include a coiled fluid tube, a coiled wire, a capsule between the coiled fluid tube and the wire, and a cooling fluid supply configured to force a cooling fluid through the capsule across the coiled wire. The induction coil system can include a closed loop ferrite core, a wire coiled around a first portion of the ferrite core, and a fluid tube coiled around a second portion of the ferrite core. A wire coil can be contained in a cartridge system removably coupleable to a disposable vapor delivery device. The system can include a fluid flow controller and induction power regulation to maintain a specific operating pressure range for vapor within a uterus or other bodily cavity, tract, or duct.
Vapor ablation handpiece
A vapor ablation handpiece for assisting a physician perform vapor ablation with a vapor ablation catheter includes a vapor generating element arranged in a coil shape. A mandrel seated in the body of the handpiece affixes the vapor generating element in the coiled arrangement. A voltage difference is supplied across the length of the vapor generating element when activated, causing the vapor generating element to heat liquid therein converting the liquid to vapor. The heated condensable vapor is delivered to a target tissue through the catheter.

ANTI-BACKDRIVE MECHANISM FOR VESSEL SEALING INSTRUMENT
A vessel sealing instrument includes a housing having a shaft extending from a distal end thereof including an end effector assembly having opposing first and second jaw members operably coupled thereto. The jaw members movable between open and closed positions for clamping tissue with a closure pressure. The jaw members are adapted to connect to a generator for providing energy thereto. An anti-backdrive mechanism is operably associated with the end effector assembly, the anti-backdrive mechanism including first and second mesh-like electrodes disposed in opposing relation on respective first and second jaw members and including openings defined therein. The first and second mesh-like electrodes compressible between a first configuration for grasping tissue wherein the openings defined within each mesh-like electrode include a first diameter to a second configuration for sealing tissue wherein the openings defined within each mesh-like electrode expand to a second diameter configured to release steam upon activation.
ARTHROSCOPIC DEVICES AND METHODS
An electrosurgical probe for ablating tissue includes an elongated shaft having an axis and a distal end. An electrically insulating housing at the distal end of the shaft has a window, and an interior channel in the shaft extends through the housing to the window. The window faces laterally relative to the axis, and a moveable member with a blade-like electrode edge is disposed within the window. A motor drives the energized electrode edge axially in the window to ablate tissue.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATMENT OF PROSTATIC TISSUE
A prostate therapy system is provided that may include any of a number of features. One feature of the prostate therapy system is that it can access a prostate lobe transurethrally. Another feature of the prostate therapy system is that it can deliver condensable vapor into the prostate to ablate the prostate tissue. Methods associated with use of the prostate therapy system are also covered.
Medical device for treating a vein
A medical device for treating a vein, including component parts thereof, wherein the device comprises a vein stretching member; a vein stretching member for use with the device; a kit of parts including the device and one or more vein stretching member and a method for treating a vein including use of the device.
VAPOR ABLATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A vapor delivery system and method is provided that is adapted for treating prostate tissue. The vapor delivery system includes a vapor delivery needle configured to deliver condensable vapor energy to tissue. In one method, the vapor delivery system is advanced transurethrally into the patient to access the prostate tissue. The vapor delivery system includes a generator unit and an inductive heating system to produce a high quality vapor for delivery to tissue. Methods of use are also provided.
