INSTRUMENT AND SUPPLYING APPARATUS OR APPARATUS GROUP AND METHOD FOR OPERATION THEREOF
Instruments having plugs with data carriers containing codes identifiable as being correlated. The codes can be individual identifiers that are individually provided to the plugs. If plugs identical in construction of instruments of identical types are connected with apparatus or an apparatus group, e.g., a first plug of a used instrument and a second and third plug of a new instrument that replace the used instrument, the three inserted plugs are determined as not being part of the same instrument and an operation of the apparatus and thus the instruments is blocked.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR ABLATION AND DEFUNCTIONALIZATION OF A GALLBLADDER
Provided herein are catheter devices, systems, and methods to ablate a tissue location. The devises, systems, and methods disclosed herein include ablation systems including a catheter system with inner and outer shafts that deliver an ablation medium (e.g., a cryogenic ablation medium) to a body lumen and evacuate the ablation medium from the body lumen. In some embodiments, devices, systems, and methods disclose herein include expandable structures that facilitate in positioning of nozzles and/or evacuation of ablation medium from a body lumen.
Surgical RFID assemblies for display and communication
A control system for a surgical instrument for use with a surgical system. The surgical system includes a first device and a second device, which can include a surgical hub, a visualization system, or a robotic system. The control system includes an RFID scanner and a control circuit coupled to the RFID scanner. The control circuit is configured to receive data from RFID tags associated with the devices, determine a communication protocol for communicating with the devices, and accordingly cause the surgical instrument to utilize the determined communication protocol to establish a communication link between the surgical instrument and the devices.
MEDICAL PUNCTURE DEVICE
A medical puncture device includes an elongate shaft having a proximal portion defining a proximal end and a distal portion defining a distal end. The distal portion tapers in outer diameter going towards the distal end to define a dilating tip. A lumen extends through the shaft from the proximal end to the distal end. The shaft includes a first electrical conductor that extends from the proximal portion to the distal portion and is electrically connectable to a radiofrequency generator. A radiofrequency puncture electrode is positioned proud of the distal end and is electrically connected to the first electrical conductor.
Surgical devices with visual indicators
In general, surgical devices including visual indicators thereon are provided. A user of the device therefore may quickly visually ascertain various operational details of the surgical device and/or various pieces of information about the device and/or tissue of a patient being operated on.
Catheter with stretchable irrigation tube
In one embodiment, a medical system includes a catheter configured to be inserted into a body part of a living subject, and including a deflectable element having a distal end, an expandable distal end assembly disposed at the distal end of the deflectable element, and comprising a plurality of electrodes, a distal portion, and a proximal portion, and configured to expand from a collapsed form to an expanded deployed form, and a stretchable irrigation tube disposed between the distal portion and the proximal portion, and comprising a plurality of irrigation holes, and configured to stretch longitudinally when the distal end assembly is collapsed from the expanded deployed form to the collapsed form.
PULSED FIELD ABLATION DEVICE AND METHOD
An ablation device and method for pulsed field ablation, the device comprising a catheter including an expandable basket, a set of electrodes formed on the expandable basket, and a pulse generator suitable for generating electric pulses wherein the pulse generator being in electrical connection with the set of electrodes. The expandable basket is formed of a braided mesh of filaments, wherein the filaments are made of nonconductive material, wherein at least portion of the filaments comprises a lumen, or is made by molding, wherein the filaments further include electrodes and conductive wires. The conductive wires at least partially lead inside of the lumen of the filaments, or are overmolded and are electrically connected to the electrodes.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SELECTING, ACTIVATING, OR SELECTING AND ACTIVATING TRANSDUCERS
Transducer-based systems can be configured to display a graphical representation of a transducer-based device, the graphical representation including graphical elements corresponding to transducers of the transducer-based device, and also including between graphical elements respectively associated with a set of the transducers and respectively associated with a region of space between the transducers of the transducer-based device. Selection of graphical elements and/or between graphical elements can cause activation of the set of transducers associated with the selected elements. Selection of a plurality of graphical elements and/or between graphical elements can cause visual display of a corresponding activation path in the graphical representation. Visual characteristics of graphical elements and between graphical elements can change based on an activation-status of the corresponding transducers. Activation requests for a set of transducers can be denied if it is determined that a transducer in the set of transducers is unacceptable for activation.
Method and device for controlling the energy supply to a medical instrument
A device for controlling the energy supply to a medical instrument contains the medical instrument and an energy supply device. The energy supply device has at least a first and a second energy supply mode that can be preselected on the energy supply device and which supplies energy to the medical instrument according to a preselected energy supply mode. The energy supply device additionally has a third mode which differs from the at least two energy supply modes, can be preselected on the energy supply device, can detect an actuation of an energy supply operating element arranged on the medical instrument, and can carry out the supply of energy to the medical instrument in the first or second mode based on the detected actuation.
High-voltage analog circuit pulser
A sub-microsecond pulsed electric field generator is disclosed. The field generator includes a controller, which generates a power supply control signal and generates a pulse generator control signal, and a power supply, which receives the power supply control signal and generates one or more power voltages based on the received power supply control signal. The field generator also includes a pulse generator which receives the power voltages and the pulse generator control signal, and generates one or more pulses based on the power voltages and based on the pulse generator control signal. In some embodiments, the controller receives feedback signals representing a value of a characteristic of or a result of the pulses and generates at least one of the power supply control signal and the pulse generator control signal based on the received feedback signals.
