Automatic aesthetic treatment device and method
An aesthetic treatment device uses multiple light sources, lasers or LEDs focused on the treatment area from different directions. The multiple light sources for treatment purposes could have the same wavelength or different wavelengths each optimized for a different application. Target selection is performed by a dual wavelength smart illumination system combined with an imaging system, a smart processor for target recognition and a scanning system that directs the focused light from laser sources to an automatically selected treatment area. A motorized optical system performs a dual role of: focusing the laser sources and also steering the focused light to specific locations as designated by the imaging and processing systems.
System for Performing Laser Therapy and Method Therefor
The present disclosure enables improved laser treatments by enabling better estimation of laser-tissue interaction to better inform the planning of a treatment path for a laser signal through a treatment region. An embodiment in accordance with the present disclosure uses a laser signal to generate a feature in the treatment region, generates a surface profile of the treatment region that includes the feature, compares that surface profile to another surface profile of the treatment region taken before the generation of the feature, and infers at least one property for at least one tissue type in the treatment region based on the comparison. In some embodiments, the feature is generated such that it includes a plurality of tissue types previously identified in the treatment region, thereby enabling inference one or more properties for each tissue type and/or locating one or more boundaries between tissue types.
BEAM PROFILE CONVERTER, CATHETER DEVICE, AND LASER ABLATION DEVICE
For the purpose of efficiently converting a beam profile of laser light with a simple configuration, provided is a beam profile converter including: a first optical fiber that outputs guided light from a first end surface; and a second optical fiber being a multi-mode optical fiber to which the light is input to a second end surface and configured to guide the light, in which a core diameter of the second optical fiber is larger than a core diameter of the first optical fiber at the first end surface, and the light output from the first end surface is input to a core portion of the second end surface at a position separated from an optical axis of the second optical fiber in a direction inclined with respect to the second end surface.
TIP FOR MULTIPLE BEAM TISSUE THERAPY
The invention provides a tip that permits therapeutic electromagnetic energy systems to deliver multiple beams of overlapping, partially overlapping, and non-overlapping electromagnetic energy in the treatment of tissue disorders and conditions. The tip finds use with laser systems, intense pulsed light systems, LED systems, radiofrequency systems, and microwave systems.
AESTHETIC METHOD OF BIOLOGICAL STRUCTURE TREATMENT BY MAGNETIC FIELD
In combined methods for treating a patient using time-varying magnetic field, treatment methods combine various approaches for aesthetic treatment. A magnetic field generating device is placed proximate to a body region of the patient. The magnetic field generating device generates a time-varying magnetic field with a magnetic flux density in a range of 0.5 to 7 Tesla. The time-varying magnetic field is applied to the body region of the patient in order to cause a contraction of a muscle within the body region. A second therapy may be used by applying one or more of optical waves, radio frequency waves, mechanical waves, negative or positive pressure or heat to the body region of the patient.
LASER SYSTEM FOR ENHANCING REMINERALIZATION AND STRENGTH OF HARD TISSUE
A laser-based system and method for treatment of hard tissue enhances remineralization and fluoride uptake to improve resistance to demineralization. The system can include a laser source, an optic, and a controller for controlling the laser source and/or the optic to deliver radiation to a treatment region with desirable characteristics (e.g., to remove carbonate without damaging the tissue surface). In some cases, the system includes a handpiece having an optical element (e.g., a lens) mounted within a replaceable cartridge and adapted to modulate a laser beam to render the beam non-ablative, prior to the laser beam's delivery to the treatment region. In some embodiments, treatment with the laser can be combined with a fluoride treatment for enhanced therapeutic effect.
Systems and Methods for Aesthetic Treatment
Provided herein is a multifunctional aesthetic system including a housing, an electromagnetic array situated in the housing and having a plurality of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) sources, each EMR source configured to generate an EMR beam having a wavelength different than that of an EMR beam generated by another of the EMR sources, a controller in electronic communication with the array to operate two or more of the EMR sources to direct the EMR beam to a treatment area, and a sensor in electronic communication with the controller for providing feedback to the controller based on defined parameters to allow the controller to adjust at least one operating condition of the multifunctional system in response to the feedback.
Aesthetic method of biological structure treatment by magnetic field
Combined methods for treating a patient using time-varying magnetic field are described. The treatment methods combine various approaches for aesthetic treatment. The methods are focused on enhancing a visual appearance of the patient.
Reflectors for optical-based vessel sealing
An end effector assembly for an optical surgical instrument includes a jaw member and a plurality of optical elements positioned within a cavity of the jaw member. The jaw member has a tissue contacting surface. The jaw member has a proximal portion that is configured to secure a fiber optic cable thereto such that a distal end of the fiber optical cable extends into the cavity. The plurality of optical elements are arranged in a staircase-like manner that rises towards the tissue contacting surface as the plurality of optical elements extends distally within the cavity. The plurality of optical elements is configured to direct a beam of light exiting the fiber optic cable towards the tissue contacting surface.
Laser tip, laser treatment tool, laser treatment device, and laser treatment system
A laser tip, a laser treatment tool, a laser treatment device and a laser treatment system are provided for performing laser treatment surgery and minimizing any bleeding. A laser tip is attachable to a laser radiation opening located at the tip end of a laser transmission tube. The laser tip includes an attaching portion detachable from the laser radiation opening and a contact portion contactable with biological tissue. The contact portion is at the front of the attaching portion in the direction in which the laser light exits the laser radiation opening. An open space is located between the contact portion and the attaching portion, and a coupler couples a part of the contact portion and a part of the attaching portion. The contact portion has a reflective surface at a rear end thereof which reflects the laser light toward the coupler.
