PROBE COVER
A cover for a probe 12, such as an ultrasonic probe, the cover comprising a flexible elongate pouch 1 and a mouth portion 2 for inserting the probe 12 into the pouch, the mouth portion 2 comprising sealing means to enable the mouth portion to be formed into sealing engagement with a proximal end 11 of the probe. Also, a method of preventing a decontaminated ultrasonic probe from contamination comprising the step of, immediately after disinfection, inserting the ultrasonic probe 12 into a cover comprising a flexible elongate pouch 1 and a mouth portion 2 for inserting the probe 12 into to pouch, the mouth portion 2 comprising a deformably rigid portion 3, and deforming the mouth portion 2 into a sealing engagement with a proximal end 11 of the probe, wherein no undisinfected portion of the probe 12 enters the pouch 1.

MOUNTING ADAPTER FOR SECURING A STERILE COVER ON A MICROSCOPE, MICROSCOPE FOR USE WITH AN ADAPTER OF THIS TYPE, AND SYSTEM HAVING A MICROSCOPE OF THIS TYPE AND AN ADAPTER OF THIS TYPE
A mounting adapter for detachably attaching a sterile cover to an objective of a microscope includes a passage for inserting the objective. A drape-lens or light-transparent disc is arranged in the passage such that it adopts an oblique angle to the longitudinal axis of the passage. The mounting adapter includes a latching device for an axially holding of the mounting adapter on the objective inserted into the passage. A positioning geometry causes a reproducible target angular positioning or target rotational alignment of the mounting adapter on the objective by its axial attachment to fulfil its positioning function independently and separately from the latching device.
Open-field handheld fluorescence imaging systems and methods
A drape configured to cover a handheld imager for use in a medical procedure, the drape including a frame that is removably mountable to a front portion of an enclosure of the imager; and at least one light transmissive component mounted to the frame and recessed with respect to a front of the frame such that the at least one light transmissive component is positioned in front of at least one enclosure window of the imager when the frame is mounted to the front portion of the imager.
Universal Surgical Access System
A surgical system includes a surgical arm including at least a distal segment. The surgical system further includes a drape disposed over the surgical arm such that the surgical arm is at least partially covered by the drape. An instrument connector is coupled to the distal segment of the surgical arm through the drape and includes a stem and a shaft. The shaft is configured to receive a surgical instrument. When the instrument connector is coupled to the surgical arm, the instrument connector secures a portion of the drape against the distal segment of the surgical arm. Other example surgical systems and surgical arms are also disclosed.

FULL-SCANNER BARRIER FOR AN INTRA-ORAL DEVICE
Removable barrier devices (e.g., sleeves) for covering medical scanning devices to reduce the chance of cross-contamination between patients and/or to protect the scanning devices from physical damage. The barrier device can include a cover that has an integrated window for passing optical signals between the scanning device and an external environment. The cover can include a sleeve that covers a handle portion of the scanning device to prevent contamination of the handle from a user's hand or glove. The cover and sleeve may both be formed of the same flexible material, or the cover may be rigid to maintain the window in a fixed position and the sleeve may be flexible to allow a user to activate a button or touchpad on the handle. An interface region between the cover and sleeve may provide a hermetic seal. The window may include a nanostructured antireflective material to limit internal reflections.
