Protective sheath and method for protecting a lead during implant and pulse generator replacement
An introducer sheath assembly including an introducer sheath and a protective sheath. The introducer sheath includes a hub having a proximal end and a distal end, and a tubular sheath projecting from the distal end of the hub. The protective sheath has a proximal end and a distal end. The distal end of the protective sheath is attached to the hub adjacent to the proximal end of the hub. The protective sheath is configurable between an undeployed state wherein the proximal end of the protective sheath is adjacent to the hub, and a deployed state wherein the proximal end of the protective sheath is away from the hub.
Method and system for reduction of contamination in needle guides
A system and method for reducing the risk of contamination of interior regions of a needle guide which is disposed on an endocavity transducer, which system includes an elastic membrane forming a pocket which covers a needle exit hole in the needle guide. The pocket is disposed on a sheath which is both; disposed around the endocavity transducer and between the endocavity transducer and the needle guide.
Clamp assembly for disposable endoscopic sheaths
Novel tools and techniques for implementing a clamp assembly for disposable endoscopic sheaths are provided. A system includes a sheath, clamp assembly, and protective cover. The sheath may be configured to receive an instrument. The clamp assembly may include a first member coupled to a second member, wherein the first and second members may be placed in a clamping configuration and an open configuration. In the clamping configuration, the first member and the second member are configured to collapse a lumen of the sheath at a location between the first and second members, and in the open configuration the lumen is not collapsed between the first and second members. The protective cover may include a receiver configured to mate with the clamp assembly and to cause the clamp assembly to maintain the open configuration when the clamp assembly is mated with the receiver.
OPEN-FIELD HANDHELD FLUORESCENCE IMAGING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A drape configured to cover a handheld imager for use in a medical procedure, the drape including a frame that is removably mountable to a front portion of an enclosure of the imager; and at least one light transmissive component mounted to the frame and recessed with respect to a front of the frame such that the at least one light transmissive component is positioned in front of at least one enclosure window of the imager when the frame is mounted to the front portion of the imager.

BIOPSY DEVICE WITH STERILE SLEEVE
A sterile cover assembly is for a biopsy device. The biopsy device includes a reusable holster including a housing and driving mechanism. The driving mechanism is for driving a cutter in a needle of a probe. The housing is adapted to releasably couple to the probe. The sterile cover assembly includes a sleeve and a flexible sterile cover. The sleeve is configured to receive at least a portion of the housing of the reusable holster. The sterile cover is coupled to the sleeve and is configured to cover the housing of the holster.

FULL-SCANNER BARRIER FOR AN INTRA-ORAL DEVICE
Removable barrier devices (e.g., sleeves) for covering medical scanning devices to reduce the chance of cross-contamination between patients and/or to protect the scanning devices from physical damage. The barrier device can include a cover that has an integrated window for passing optical signals between the scanning device and an external environment. The cover can include a sleeve that covers a handle portion of the scanning device to prevent contamination of the handle from a user's hand or glove. The cover and sleeve may both be formed of the same flexible material, or the cover may be rigid to maintain the window in a fixed position and the sleeve may be flexible to allow a user to activate a button or touchpad on the handle. An interface region between the cover and sleeve may provide a hermetic seal. The window may include a nanostructured antireflective material to limit internal reflections.

Motion feedthrough
A motion feedthrough for a surgical drape, the motion feedthrough comprising a drive transfer element comprising a first portion and a second portion, the first portion being releasably engageable with a portion of a robot arm and the second portion being releasably engageable with a portion of an instrument, the drive transfer element being movable relative to a bulk portion of the drape so as to transfer drive between the robot arm and the instrument.
