PACKAGE FOR AN OBJECT AND AN ASSEMBLY INCLUDING SUCH A PACKAGE
A package for an object including a support element with a first chamber containing the object and a coupler configured to hold the object suspended through the coupler so that the object extends into a space left free between the coupler and a bottom portion of the support element. A stopper is coupled to the support element of the object, such that the support element presents a grip portion that projects from the stopper. A cover is coupled to the stopper, so as to co-operate with the stopper to define a second chamber inside which the grip portion of the support element extends. While the cover is coupled to the stopper, a grip portion of the stopper projects from the cover. While the bottom portion of the support element is coupled to the stopper, the length of the object remains visible.
Tray for a soft tissue cutting device and methods of use
Methods of using a soft tissue cutting device are disclosed. The methods include providing the soft tissue cutting device, positioning the soft tissue cutting device in a priming slot of a tray configured for receiving and holding the soft tissue cutting device, attaching a priming syringe to the soft tissue cutting device, priming a balloon disposed on a distal end of the soft tissue cutting device by equalizing a first pressure inside the balloon to a second pressure inside the priming syringe, removing the soft tissue cutting device from the priming slot, and positioning the distal end of the soft tissue cutting device on a safety slot included in the tray to determine whether the tissue cutting device has been properly primed.
PACKAGE FOR AN OBJECT AND AN ASSEMBLY INCLUDING SUCH A PACKAGE
A package for an object includes a support element with means for coupling the object to the support element. A first hollow protective element is provided as a stopper coupled to the support element of the object. The support element presents a grip portion which projects from the stopper, the support element, alone or in co-operation with the stopper, defining a first chamber containing the object. A second hollow protective element is provided as a cover. The cover is coupled to the stopper so as to cooperate with the stopper to define a second chamber inside which the grip portion of the support element extends. The cover is coupled to the stopper, with the grip portion of the stopper projecting from the cover. The means for coupling is configured to hold the object suspended through the means for coupling, so that the object extends into the space left free between the means for coupling and a bottom portion of the support element. The bottom portion is coupled to the stopper so that the length of the object remain visible.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AN ORTHOPEDIC FIXATION SYSTEM
An orthopedic fixation system includes a sterile packaged implant kit and a sterile packaged instrument kit. The sterile packaged implant kit includes at least one surgical implant, an insertion device, and an implant package adapted to receive the at least one surgical implant and the insertion device therein. The implant package maintains the at least one surgical implant and the insertion device sterile after sterilization of the sterile packaged implant kit. The sterile packaged instrument kit includes one or more instruments necessary to use the sterile packaged implant kit and an instrument package adapted to receive the one or more instruments therein. The instrument package maintains the one or more instruments sterile after sterilization of the sterile packaged instrument kit.
Storage system for medical instruments
A receiving sleeve receives surgical instruments. A holding device for storing and cleaning surgical instruments includes at least one receiving sleeve. A surgical instrument set includes a holding device and/or receiving sleeve. The receiving sleeve and the holding device have a light construction which allows the maximum flow of fluid to instruments held in the receiving sleeve or holding device. The receiving sleeve includes a cylindrical hollow body with a plurality of peripherally spaced inner clamping arms which have punctiform or linear engagement sections that are adjusted to come into contact with an inserted tool in a force-fit or form-fit manner for holding the tool within the receiving sleeve at a radial distance to the cylindrical body.
Seal for filtered vent in a sterilization container
A container (10) used for sterilizing medical instruments and the like has a sealed filtered vent. A wall or a lid of the container has a vent area formed by a plurality of holes (12) that pass therethrough. The vent area is surrounded by a convex ridge (16) on an outside surface of the container, with a corresponding concave recess (26) on an opposing inside surface. A web of filter material (36) is sized and adapted to cover the vent area and overlie the concave recess. A cover plate (37) is generally planar, with a vent area formed by a plurality of holes (38) that pass through the cover plate. This vent area is surrounded by a convex ridge (43) that is sized and adapted to correspond to the concave recess of the sterilization container. An elastomeric gasket (127) with outwardly-projecting ridges is secured to at least the convex ridge of the cover plate. A means for mounting the cover plate over the vent area of the container secures the filter material between the container vent area and the cover plate.
Packages and methods for manufacturing packages
A package that includes a housing portion, a handling portion and a separation feature. The separation feature facilitates separation of the handling and housing portions. The separation feature includes a first release layer and a second release layer adjacent to the first release layer provided between the first and second films at an overlapping portion of the housing portion and the handling portion.
TRAY FOR A SOFT TISSUE CUTTING DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
A tray for a soft tissue cutting device includes a housing slot for removably housing the soft tissue cutting device prior to use and a priming slot for receiving the soft tissue cutting device during a priming procedure. The priming slot allows connection of the soft tissue cutting device to a priming syringe for priming the soft tissue cutting device. The tray also includes a safety slot for testing whether the soft tissue cutting device is primed for use and a sterile cover connectable to the tray. The sterile cover substantially encloses the tray when it is connected thereto.
MEDICAL PACKAGING WITH A PACKAGING SLEEVE AND OUTER VACUUM PACKAGING
Medical packaging for the sterile storage of medical articles in a hermetically and sterile sealable packaging sleeve. The packing generally includes at least two parts, with a sealed, film-like outer packaging, which at least partially encloses the packaging sleeve in a form-fitting manner and provides a pressure that is reduced with respect to the atmosphere. At least one end face of the packaging sleeve may be designed to be flattened, wherein a length of the outer packaging is generally longer than a length of the packaging sleeve and projects beyond the end face region of the packaging sleeve. A sealing or welding seam may be arranged at least in the end face region of the packaging sleeve, wherein at least one of the end faces of the packaging sleeve, preferably both end faces, are designed so as to be flattened off. The end-sided transition from the packaging sleeve into the outer packaging is substantially wrinkle free.
STERILE CONTAINER LID WITH OUTER COVER
A lid for a sterile container includes a lid component and at least one gas exchange section on the lid component. The lid also includes at least one frame for receiving a filter device on a lid inner face on the at least one gas exchange section, at least one outer cover which covers the at least one gas exchange section on a lid outer face, and at least one connection element which is inserted in the lid component to secure the outer cover to the lid outer face and secure the frame to the lid inner face.
