Disclosed embodiments include an upper body shaper garment for women. The garment contours the breasts and other aspects of the chest area into a fashionable form by delivering distinct amount of compression force at select areas of the garment. In various embodiments, the shaper garment includes a support area covering the breasts and a shaping area including one or more compression zones for moving the support area to enhance the appearance of the wearer. The shaper garment may be knitted from one continuous piece of fabric with the compression areas knitted directly into the base layer. The shaper garment may also include one or more transition zones between the areas and/or zones of the garment to smoothly transition between different areas and/or zones.

A compliant scaffold incorporates a plurality of elongated apertures that form a geometric pattern enabling biaxial expansion or contraction. An elongated aperture has a pair of nodes located on opposing sides of the aperture and between a pair of antinodes located on the extended and opposing ends of the elongated aperture. This unique arrangement of the elongated apertures may be formed in biological material in vivo or ex vivo.

An article of clothing is disclosed. The article of clothing a front panel. The front panel comprises an inner fabric layer; an outer fabric layer having a first portion and a second portion; and a thermoplastic strip. The first portion of the outer fabric layer is secured with the inner fabric layer. The second portion of the outer fabric layer supports the thermoplastic strip therewith. The back panel is attached to the front panel.

An article of clothing is disclosed. The article of clothing a front panel. The front panel comprises an inner fabric layer; an outer fabric layer having a first portion and a second portion; and a thermoplastic strip. The first portion of the outer fabric layer is secured with the inner fabric layer. The second portion of the outer fabric layer supports the thermoplastic strip therewith. A garment for a human wearer includes: a terry garment-region having terry-knit cloth; and a non-terry garment-region having non-terry-knit cloth. The terry garment-region is directly bordering and adjacent to the non-terry garment-region. The terry garment-region and the non-terry garment-region are a seamless continuation of each other. Similarly, a continuous fabric for making clothes includes: a terry fabric-region having terry-knit cloth, and an adjacent and immediately bordering non-terry fabric-region having non-terry-knit cloth. Optionally, TPU or PVC elements or plastic elements are embedded within the terry garment-region, or within the non-terry garment-region; or such elements cover, or are covered by, the terry garment-region or the non-terry garment-region.

A garment for a human wearer includes: a terry garment-region having terry-knit cloth; and a non-terry garment-region having non-terry-knit cloth. A clothing article for breast support is shown and described. The clothing article for breast support with removable underwire includes a front portion having two breast support sections. At least one underwire is removably secured around a lower perimeter of each of the two breast support sections, wherein the underwire is a single piece. A strap system is secured to the top of each of the breast support sections. The strap system is further secured to a side of each breast support, wherein the straps are connected to opposite sides of each breast support section.

A clothing article for breast support is shown and described. The clothing article for breast support with removable underwire includes a front portion having two breast support sections. At least one underwire is removably secured around a lower perimeter of each of the two breast support sections, wherein the underwire is a single piece. A strap system is secured to the top of each of the breast support sections. The strap system is further secured to a side of each breast support, wherein the straps are connected to opposite sides of each breast support section.

A supportive undergarment configured to restrain movement of breast tissue in the superior direction is provided. The undergarment is configured to be used in conjunction with a conventional bra, especially an underwire-containing sports bra, without unnecessarily duplicating the support provided by the bra. The undergarment comprises a pair of supporting straps that are releasably anchored to the undergarment's lower circumscribing band via at least one anchor member. The supporting straps are configured to provide compression to the wearer's upper breast roots and arrest upward movement of the wearer's breasts.
