ARTHROPLASTY DEVICES AND RELATED METHODS
Arthroplasty jigs and related methods are disclosed. Some of the arthroplasty jigs may comprise a jig body that is configured to align with a surface of a bone, and a positioning component. Certain of the methods may comprise providing such an arthroplasty jig, and aligning the jig body with a surface of a bone so that the positioning component provides at least one of a visible, audible, or tactile indication that such alignment has been achieved. Some of the arthroplasty jigs may comprise a jig body that is configured to align with a surface of a bone, and that is marked with identifying information. Certain of the methods may comprise providing an arthroplasty jig comprising a jig body that is configured to align with a surface of a bone, or providing an arthroplasty jig blank, and marking the arthroplasty jig or the arthroplasty jig blank with identifying information.
Alignment guide
A surgical instrument alignment guide comprising a mount (2) arranged to be coupled to a bone of a patient, an alignment rod (4), a guide rod (24) and an indicator (26). The alignment rod (4) has a first end pivotally coupled to the mount (2) such that the inclination of the alignment rod (4) relative to the mount (2) is adjustable. The guide rod (24) is couplable to a second end of the alignment rod (4) at an adjustable angle and orientation such that the guide rod (24) can extend transverse to the alignment rod (4). The indicator (26) is coupled to the guide rod (24) to indicate when the guide rod (24) lies at a desired angle relative to a horizontal axis. Also disclosed is a method of aligning a surgical instrument using the surgical instrument alignment guide.
POSITION GUIDANCE DEVICE WITH BUBBLE LEVEL
A position guidance system for minimally invasive medical procedures includes a medical device having a first end configured for percutaneous insertion and a second end configured to remain exterior to a patient's skin, a hub connection provided at the second end of the medical device, at least one bubble level including a bubble configured to provide a visual indication of a deviation from a target angle for medical device insertion, and a connector configured to reversibly and repeatedly connect the bubble level to the hub connection of the medical device. When the bubble is positioned at a center of the bubble level, an actual insertion angle of the medical device is the same as the target angle. When the bubble is positioned off-center of the bubble level, the actual insertion angle of the medical device deviates from the target angle.
