Autonomous agricultural treatment system using map based targeting of agricultural objects

Various embodiments of an apparatus, methods, systems and computer program products described herein are directed to an agricultural observation and treatment system and method of operation. The agricultural treatment system may determine a first real-world geo-spatial location of the treatment system. The system can receive captured images depicting real-world agricultural objects of a geographic scene. The system can associate captured images with the determined geo-spatial location of the treatment system. The treatment system can identify, from a group of mapped and indexed images, images having a second real-word geo-spatial location that is proximate with the first real-world geo-spatial location. The treatment system can compare at least a portion of the identified images with at least a portion of the captured images. The treatment system can determine a target object and emit a fluid projectile at the target object using a treatment device.

VISION BASED TARGETING OF AGRICULTURAL OBJECTS

Various embodiments of an apparatus, methods, systems and computer program products described herein are directed to an agricultural observation and treatment system and method of operation. The agricultural treatment system may receive captured sensor data of an agricultural environment by one or more image capture devices, generate a first image from the captured sensor data, detect a first real-world agricultural object from the first image, determine a first pose of the first real-world agricultural object, identify the detected first real-world agricultural object as a new agricultural object or a preidentified agricultural object, and determine a treatment policy associated with the first real-world agricultural object.

Printing apparatus and printing method for biochip fabrication

A printing method for biochip fabrication is implemented by a printing apparatus including a platform for supporting a substrate, a pipet module, and a control module. The method includes: moving the platform in sequence to multiple positions associated with multiple to-be-printed points on the platform; moving the pipet module reciprocatively toward and away from the platform during each movement of the platform; discharging, by the pipet module, solution sample onto the respective one of the to-be-printed points to form a bio-sensing spot to form a biochip; and determining, by the control module, whether to execute a supplementary printing procedure for the biochip based on whether each bio-sensing spot satisfies a predetermined criterion.

METHOD FOR MAINTAINING AN EQUILIBRIUM OF A PHYSICO-CHEMICAL PARAMETER OF A MEDIUM, ASSOCIATED COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT AND ELECTRONIC MODULE
20190332131 · 2019-10-31 · ·

The invention relates to a method for maintaining an equilibrium of a physico-chemical parameter of a medium, and for recovering the equilibrium in case of loss of the latter. More precisely the method makes it possible to estimate the relevance of a corrective action on the medium in order to recover an equilibrium. The method is implemented by the processing unit of a system for regulating the medium. The invention applies in a non-limiting manner to the regulation of the equilibrium of the bathing water of a swimming pool.

A method for facilitating an active agent distribution in an agricultural cultivation area, including: measuring at least one chemical or physical property of discharged surface water at a plurality of measuring points in the agricultural cultivation area; transmitting measured data of the chemical or physical property to a control unit; allocating the measured data to a plurality of surface regions of the agricultural cultivation area; determining for the respective surface regions an active agent quantity to be applied as a function of the measured data ascertained for the respective surface regions and as a function of a stored rule; and supplying to an output unit an amount of the respective active agent quantity for the respective surface region.

State machine function block with user-definable actions on a transition between states

A control system, a safety system, etc., within a process plant may each use one or more state machine function blocks that can be easily integrated into a function block diagram programming environment. Such a state machine function block may include one or more inputs, which may cause a state machine implemented by the state machine function block to identify a next state as well as one or more transition actions to perform in accordance with transitioning from a current state to the next state. Configuration data associated with the transition actions may be retrieved from a database based on the current and next states of the state machine and at least one of the inputs. The state machine function block may also include one or more outputs that are generated based on the state transition.

Characterizing liquids based on features extracted from time-dependent, differential signal measurements

One or more computer processors obtain one or more time-dependent signals with one or more sensor pairs in a sensing system, respectively, wherein each of the one or more time-dependent signals are obtained as a differential signal of a respective pair of the one or more sensor pairs by successively sensing a reference liquid and each liquid in a set of liquids to be characterized with the respective pair; extracting one or more sets of features from one or more portions of the one or more time-dependent signals, respectively, each of the one or more portions including a signal portion obtained while sensing each liquid in the set of liquids with said respective pair; and characterize each liquid in the set of liquids based on the one or more extracted sets of features.
