Systems and methods for entry point localization

A teleoperative system includes a teleoperational manipulator, a flexible medical instrument, an entry port, a sensor system, and a control system. The flexible medical instrument is coupled to and movable by the teleoperational manipulator. The entry port provides a passageway for insertion of the flexible medical instrument into a patient body. The sensor system includes a first sensor fixedly coupled to the entry port. The control system is configured to use information transmitted by the first sensor to determine a position and orientation of the entry port with respect to the flexible medical instrument.

ROBOT SURGICAL PLATFORM
20220000561 · 2022-01-06 ·

A surgical implant planning computer for intra-operative CT workflow, pre-operative CT imaging workflow, and fluoroscopic imaging workflow. A network interface is connectable to a CT image scanner and a robot surgical platform having a robot base coupled to a robot arm that is movable by motors. A CT image of a bone is received from the CT image scanner and displayed. A user's selection is received of a surgical screw from among a set of defined surgical screws. A graphical screw representing the selected surgical screw is displayed as an overlay on the CT image of the bone. Angular orientation and location of the displayed graphical screw relative to the bone in the CT image is controlled responsive to receipt of user inputs. An indication of the selected surgical screw and an angular orientation and a location of the displayed graphical screw are stored in a surgical plan data structure.

COLLAR DEVICE FOR MOUNTING WITH AN IMAGE RECEPTOR OF A MEDICAL IMAGING SYSTEM

The disclosure concerns a collar device configured for attachment with an image receptor of an X-ray or similar imaging system, the collar device including a radiolucent bar and linear light source, the combination of which being used for patient positioning, identification of surgical entry point and trajectory guidance of instrumentation.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOCATING A TARGET SUBJECT
20210338187 · 2021-11-04 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a system and method for locating a target subject associated with an X-ray system. The X-ray system may include an X-ray source, a detection component, an arm, and a platform. The X-ray system may also include a first positioning component, a second positioning component, or a third positioning component. The first positioning component may be configured to determine a target point where a region of interest (ROI) of the target subject locates. The second positioning component may be configured to locate the target subject. The third positioning component may be configured to obtain location information of a target device associated with the target subject in real-time.

Systems and methods for entry point localization

A teleoperative system includes a first medical instrument connected to and movable by a first manipulator assembly, a second medical instrument connected to and movable by a second manipulator assembly, a first alignment component positioned on at least one of the first manipulator assembly or the second manipulator assembly; a second alignment component positioned on an entry port; and a control system. The second medical instrument is sized and shaped to fit and move within the first medical instrument. The control system is configured to determine, based on the first and second alignment components, a position and orientation of the first medical instrument with respect to the entry port.

Robotically-assisted surgical device, robotically-assisted surgery method, and system

A robotically-assisted surgical device assists robotic surgery with a surgical robot including a robot arm, and includes a processing unit and a display unit. The processing unit acquires 3D data of a subject; acquires kinematic information of the robot arm; acquires information of a surgical procedure for operating; acquires position planning information for a plurality of ports to be pierced on a body surface of the subject; acquires measurement information obtained by measuring a position of a first port pierced on the body surface among the plurality of ports; determines a position of at least one of remaining ports other than the first port, based on the measurement information of the position of the first port, the information of the surgical procedure, the kinematic information, and the 3D data; and causes the display unit to display information indicating the determined position of the remaining port.

Surgical Tool with Targeting Guidance
20230320800 · 2023-10-12 ·

A powered surgical tool for a user to manipulate a desired tissue in surgical site within a patient may include a body having a tissue manipulation portion powerable and having a manipulation member for manipulating the desired tissue, and a projecting device with an exit port. The projecting device is powerable to emit an optical targeting marker from the exit port in a targeting direction onto the surgical site in a way that is operationally related to the operative direction and is visible to the user for providing information about at least one of a location and an orientation of the manipulation member and an operative direction within the surgical site. An imaging device may be provided to obtaining an image of the surgical site using an optical receiver attached to the body. The device may also measure and/or indicate distance to the surgical site.

MONITORING SYSTEM FACILITATING NEURO-MONITORING AND TISSUE IDENTIFICATION

A monitoring system facilitating neuro-monitoring and tissue identification and method for use thereof is provided. The system and method can apply electrical stimulation via a probe to the fibrous tissue and/or the tissue of interest, and can determine a location and/or integrity of nerves or nerve roots therein using stimulated response signals in the fibrous tissue and/or the tissue of interest in response to the electrical stimulation. The system and method also can stimulate the tissue of interest by applying radiation to the tissue of interest from the distal end of the probe, and can identify the tissue of interest using captured radiation from the tissue of interest stimulated by the applied radiation.
