DEVICE FOR MANDIBULAR ATTACHMENT OF A LOCALIZATION MARKER
A device for attaching a localization marker to the lower jaw of an individual. The marker includes an inner face provided with two attachment lugs including an intra-oral portion having a general U-shape adapted for coming into contact with the outer face of the teeth of the lower jaw, an extra-oral portion including an attachment element for the marker, a connecting portion connecting the intra-oral portion and the extra-oral portion. The attachment element includes two recesses each adapted for receiving a respective lug of the marker, the recesses being separated by a tab adapted for being elastically deformed when one of the lugs is engaged in a respective recess so as to exert a pressure force on the lug.
ORAL FIXATION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR RADIATION THERAPY OF LIP CANCER
Disclosed are an oral fixation device for radiation therapy and an oral fixation method in treatment of a lip cancer. The oral fixation device for radiation therapy includes a first spacer including a first insert inserted between a first lip portion and a first gum portion, and a teeth support coupled to the first spacer at a side of the first spacer disposed inwardly of an oral cavity, wherein teeth or a gum of a patient is supported on the teeth support, wherein a first spacer has a specific thickness to maintain a specific spacing between the first lip portion and the first gum portion, wherein the first lip portion includes a treatment target portion to be subjected to the radiation therapy.
GUIDEWIRES FOR PERFORMING IMAGE GUIDED PROCEDURES
Guidewires and methods useable in conjunction with image guidance systems to facilitate performance of diagnostic or therapeutic tasks at locations within the bodies of human or animal subjects.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTED ORAL STENTS FOR HEAD AND NECK RADIOTHERAPY
Apparatus and methods for providing three-dimensional printed oral stents are provided for head and neck radiotherapy. Movement of the jaw of the patient is simulated via a computer processor. Simulating movement of the jaw of the patient comprises rotating and translating a mandible of the jaw. A digital negative impression is transformed into a digital oral stent by adding support structures to the digital negative impression. The support structures facilitate three-dimensional (3D) printing of the patient-specific oral stent.

Splint device for forming a fiducial marker for a surgical robot guidance system, and associated method
A method of implementing a splint device, and associated splint device are provided for a guidance system of a surgical robot. An adhesive material is engaged with a first stabilizing portion of a first splint portion, and the adhesive material is engaged with a second stabilizing portion of a second splint portion. The first or second splint portion has a mounting portion extending outwardly therefrom, The first and second splint portions are removably engaged with each other and about a tooth of a patient such that, when engaged, the first stabilizing portion is generally opposed to and laterally spaced apart from the second stabilizing portion to define a channel therebetween, with the mounting portion being disposed and extending outwardly of the channel, and with the first and second stabilizing portions defining the channel being secured to respective sides of the tooth via the adhesive material.

TRACKING MARKER SUPPORT STRUCTURE AND SURFACE REGISTRATION METHODS EMPLOYING THE SAME FOR PERFORMING NAVIGATED SURGICAL PROCEDURES
Devices and methods are provide for facilitating registration and calibration of surface imaging systems. Tracking marker support structures are described that include one or more fiducial reference markers, where the tracking marker support structures are configured to be removably and securely attached to a skeletal region of a patient. Methods are provided in which a tracking marker support structure is attached to a skeletal region in a pre-selected orientation, thereby establishing an intraoperative reference direction associated with the intraoperative position of the patient, which is employed for guiding the initial registration between intraoperatively acquired surface data and volumetric image data. In other example embodiments, the tracking marker support structure may be employed for assessing the validity of a calibration transformation between a tracking system and a surface imaging system. Example methods are also provided to detect whether or not a tracking marker support structure has moved from its initial position during a procedure.
