Oral care cleaning system utilizing entrained fluid
The present invention provides for oral care systems comprising: an appliance comprising a first and second plurality of nozzles, the appliance configured to be held in the mouth of a user with the first and second plurality of nozzles in fluid communication with one or more surfaces of the user's oral cavity; a source of gas; a source of liquid; and a fluid controller for directing entrained fluid to the appliance. Also provided are methods of cleaning, or otherwise providing benefits to, one or more surfaces of the oral cavity using a system of the present invention.
Piston pump
A piston pump includes a housing, a driving assembly, a pump, and a nozzle assembly. The housing includes upper and lower brackets. The driving assembly is in the housing and includes a gear motor and a piston. The pump includes a pump body in the housing, a pressing plate with one end of the piston extending into the pump body, and a pressing membrane on the piston for sealing a space between the pump body and the piston; the pump body cooperates with the housing to position the pressing membrane; an intermediate portion of the pressing membrane reciprocates as the piston repeatedly moves back and forth; the pump further comprises a pushing member in the pump body for sealing the pump body; and one end of the pushing member extends into the piston. The nozzle assembly includes a nozzle and a nozzle seat disposed in the pump body.
ORAL IRRIGATOR WITH RESERVOIR VALVE
An oral irrigator includes a base, a reservoir supported by the base and including a bottom wall and a port defined in the bottom wall, and a valve received in the port. The valve is movable between a first position in which the port is open to allow fluid flow from the reservoir to the base and a second position in which the port is closed by the valve. The valve includes a body, a cap extending from a first end of the body, a flange extending from a second end of the body opposite the first end, a sealing member positioned around the body adjacent the cap, and a spring positioned around the body adjacent the flange.
DENTAL SYSTEM WITH HAND PIECE FOR ENDODONTIC FILES
A dental tool includes: a hand piece; an endodontic hand file; a stopper, wherein the stopper comprises a first hole for receiving a portion of the endodontic hand file; and a mechanical motion module that imparts mechanical motion to the endodontic hand file. A dental system includes: a hand piece; an endodontic file; and a stopper comprising at least two holes, wherein a first hole receives a portion of the endodontic file, and wherein a second hole receives a portion of a first tube for delivering a liquid to the endodontic file. The dental system can further include a second tube partially contained in a third hole of the stopper for suctioning liquids from a patient's mouth. The dental system can also further include a mechanical motion module.
Oral irrigator with variable output fluid characteristics
An oral irrigator including a reservoir, a tip in fluid communication with the reservoir, a pump in fluid communication with the tip and the reservoir, where the motor drives the pump. The oral irrigator also includes a control module electrically coupled to the motor to vary an output of the motor. During a normal mode, the control module drives the motor to output a normal pulse rate, a normal flow rate, and a normal fluid pressure as the fluid exits the tip and during a massage mode, the control module drives the motor to output a massage pulse rate, a massage flow rate, and a massage fluid pressure as the fluid exits the tip. The massage pulse rate is lower than the normal pulse rate, the massage fluid pressure is lower than the normal fluid pressure, and the massage fluid pressure is lower than the normal fluid pressure.

An oral care device (10) with a pump assembly (12) including: a plunger assembly (52) having a rack assembly (74); a compressible spring (64) configured to exert a forward force on the plunger assembly; and a rack and pinion assembly (72) configured to exert a force on the plunger assembly opposite the forward force, wherein the rack assembly includes a plurality of rack teeth (74 a . . . 74 g) and the pinion assembly (76) includes a plurality of teeth (78) arranged around a portion of the pinion; where the plurality of rack teeth include an angled front surface (86) and an angled rear surface (87), the front surface of at least some of the plurality of rack teeth including a different angle than the rear surface, and further where at least some of the plurality of rack teeth include a pointed or rounded tip (82).
Adjustable assembly and nozzle for providing various liquid/air output flow patterns
A oral irrigator device (10) for cleaning teeth, including a system (14) for producing a stream of liquid/air bursts and a nozzle (16) connected to the system, and through which the stream of liquid/air bursts are directed. The nozzle can include a guidance tip (26) including a base portion (30), a tip portion (28), and an orifice (31) through which the stream of liquid/air bursts exits at a flow output pattern, and a flow output pattern selection mechanism (90, 90) connected to or positioned within the guidance tip. A flow output pattern selection mechanism can be configured to be selectively actuated and to vary, upon the actuation the flow output pattern between a first flow output pattern to at least a second flow output pattern.
Oral irrigator
An oral irrigator contains: a body, a water tank and a detachable jet tip which are both in connection with the body, a power device and a control device Which are both accommodated in the body. The power device is configured to deliver water from the water tank to the detachable jet tip. The power device includes a first outlet defined thereon and configured to discharge the water, a delivery tube connecting with the first outlet, and a first seal element configured to stop water flowing into the body from the power device so that the water discharges out of the first outlet.
Portable oral irrigator
A portable oral irrigator includes a charging seat assembly, a water container assembly, a housing assembly and a pump assembly. The charging seat assembly includes a charging seat base, a transparent charging seat member on the charging seat base, a first control board in the charging seat base, a first light guide line in the transparent charging seat member, a second light guide line in the charging seat base, a charging seat cover on the transparent charging seat member, and a charging socket projecting out of the charging seat cover. With provision of the charging seat assembly, the water container assembly, the housing assembly and the pump assembly, the pump unit draws water from the water container body and exits the water through the nozzle. The first and second light guide lines and the light guide strip emit light to indicate a current state of the oral irrigator.
ORAL CLEANING DEVICE WITH VARIABLE FLUID PRESSURIZATION
A pump assembly (22) including a piston (36) reciprocal within a cylinder (48) for pressurizing a fluid in a pressure chamber (38) of the cylinder. A biasing member is configured to exert a driving force on the piston to drive the piston in a pumping direction from a reset position to a deployed position. A drivetrain (34) is engageable with the piston and provides power sufficient to transition the piston back to the reset position. A stroke limiting mechanism (42) has a stopping member (82) with a stopping surface (86) against which a protrusion (92) of the piston contacts to define a stroke length of the piston by limiting movement of the piston in the pumping direction (94) when the protrusion engages the stopping surface. The stopping member has a first configuration corresponding to a first stroke length for the piston and a second configuration corresponding to a second stroke length.
